Would you mind sharing a few with anyone else? We can communicate via pm, I just did the same thing with hydrotech364 the week before last and the seeds got here just fine (and really fast!), but I'm afraid I'm having a hell of a time with the Papaya seeds.

I'd be happy to share with you, especially for trade! Just let me know how...I just joined so I'm not sure yet how to PM!

This goes for anyone else as well...5 seeds for 5 seeds? I'm just starting my first hydro setup and would love some seeds that have worked well for others!

Littlebat, you have to set your options/preferences to allow private messages from other users. Right now all I have, and I have a LOT of (as in dozens, if not hundreds), are seeds from a friend's hookup in the Fremont area. The guy who grows it missed a male, and DAMN did he spread his love. All over the place did he spread his love! Anyway, it's not totally dank or chronic, won't couch-lock you. This stuff gives a good buzz, makes it easy to sleep when I want to, and easy to get chores done when I need to. I can ride after smoking this stuff, not so with some other stuff, so, not terribly stoney but it works. And, it grows very, very well. Based on the seeds' appearance and the plants themselves (can be seen in my gallery) I would guess that it's an Indica variety.

hey guys every time I order seeds and get them I soak in water for 10 hrs and they crack the next day. I think its better than the paper towel method.I think it softens the shell so that bugger can come out.

That is the method that I use. Usually I would see the little root tip poking out of the seed within 8-16 hours. Depending upon freshness, handling, etc.. Afterward I would use the wet paper towel method. Then the medium. I think the soaking helps. Alot. Always works better than without.

Yeah, and if I can only get one Papaya to sprout, then it doesn't matter the sex, I won't be able to keep that strain pure unless/until I get more Papaya to cross with.

Aw.. dude.. you're gonna get me all verklempt, that is so sweet! Want some of mine? I don't know what they are, but they're growing well. Light stony high is how I would describe it. But our friends who I got it from find it to be 'pretty damn stony' (they won't smoke it if they have stuff to do).

The challenge of getting this variety to grow is one I want to take on. Besides, if I can figure out how to grow corals, why not a plant I share the air with?

I don't know what DWC is, I keep meaning to do a search, but then I get distracted. And then the power went out. Dave just left to go all the way into town to buy more f'ing gas for the generator.

So... I'm wondering now, as it's mid-June (beware, the ides of June!), and in the notes it says "outdoors in southern climates". I ain't no southern climate here, even if it does get murder hot, sometimes well through October. We get good frosts, too.. then there's that whole daylight length issue. Power's too expensive to grow indoors, too. Hrm... I.. I have some ideas on that.

DWC = Deep Water Culture
Basically a bucket with an air stone in the bottom that provides Oxigyn to the roots as well as nutrents. This is one of the simplest forms of hyroponic gardening.

Hey Orecal, this sharing of seeds among us needs a titled & separate thread. I don't know how to do that shit-yet. I've only got about 60 Afghan/Master Kush seeds left, but I'm going to bury them to get rid of the evidence. However, I do have about 10 different male strains doing fine,far away from the females. I want to get a couple thousand seeds from 08 harvest in Oct. Trading seeds would be cool. I could drop the pack in the local mail box & use another add. for return. No problem. I had 14 strains, anyway, crossing strains like THC Bomb to Cal. Orange Bud to Danky Doodle to Easy Sativa, etc, should be some kick-ass fun. I'm just going to pollinate one or two branches per plant. What do you think?

Hydrotech, your seeds version 2.0 are now wrapped tightly in Saran wrap, with tape wrapped around that, inside a CD case, inside two plastic bags, inside an envelope. If these fuckers get crushed it's because a gorilla stomped on 'em! I put five of your papaya seeds in a glass of water last night and this morning all had sunk to the bottom. Now they're in a wet paper towel, inside a baggie, on a plate on my stove (it's warm over the pilot light.) We'll see how they do!!

I would like to trade seeds with someone else as well...I would really love a good Sativa, especially for hydro growing. I have enough Connies to send ten of them to two more people. I would like to get them into the hands of established growers who can keep passing it on! If you want to email me at [email protected] please do. I don't know if it's okay to suggest this here or if there's a better way to do it or what...but seamaiden & hydrotech can attest that I'm a real person.
