Ok I just went to my flower room and found 3 fucking mushrooms in my soil about 2 in. tall how the fuck does this happen? I'm using super soil and a mix of synergy will a little added soil called tegro it's something I can only get where I live it works great on gardens but that's it. I have been battling root afids and fungus nats but now a fucking mushroom come on. Has anybody ever experienced this before? This was only in one bot with my plant. I'm a first time grower first flowering and the room temp is 80 with humidity at 40.

Tegro is a blend of sand saw dust and refined process of human waste from a treatment plant. This is used on lawns, gardens, plants you name it. It's been given awards for how it makes plants grow fast and healthy I was experimenting with it I only used about 3 hand fulls in my soil mix. I have the plants in large totes that I will never use again due to how much soil it takes for one plant.

I had mushrooms in my last grow as well. I was disgusted... It's a real 'ewwww!' moment when you first spot them. They kept on coming too so I just kept pulling them. Didn't do any harm at all.

There must have been spores or something in your soil and the temp and humidity made a nice growing environment for them.

Sounds great for the outdoors but I wouldn't want it indoors.
Sawdust and human waste? LOL, maybe a spore from.... God only knows.

They may be pretty trippy!

I have mushrooms growing in my soil all the time, usually when im growing alot of hydro with a couple of plants growing close by, I would consider its because all the extra moisture. Its been common with ocean forest and any composted soil I use. I also brew high fungi teas so im sure that doesnt help. And they always look like the cubes I love so much.. here is a pic of some I pulled out of the soil last week..... hehe

I have been using azamax and just add beneficial nematodes last week and it says keep the soil moist for them so that's why I have been doing that. But on those totes it's drying out the top pretty good with the temp at 80 and the humidity at 40 so I'll keep an eye on them thanks for all the replys. I know a lot of people use the tegro in there vegetable gardens and really like the results. I know it sounds gross that it's refined human waste but after in goes thru the process it's safe for gardens ect that's why I used it. I have used it on my lawn and it makes it grow like crazy I have to mow 2xs a week.

Lol, I didn't really pick those out of my pots those are cubes... I was just joking around.. But I do have mushrooms growing in my soil time to time, which are questionable.. But those were grown professionally from a friend lol

soil holds a lot of water, you may think its dry, but the bottom of the pot is still wet enough to feed the plant for another day or 2. this can be the cause of mushrooms if your overwatering the soil. just check from the bottom of the pot next time your due to water them.

It's simple, somehow spores landed in your medium, and your grow was good condition for them to propagate, so they did. No harm done, just pull them out and dispose.
