Would Extra Light Before Harvest Increase THC Levels?

Some guy said that plants produce THC when their stressed or threatened of death.

He also said that 1 of THC's quality or the crystals is to protect from Light

So im thinking that 48Hours Light before harvest would also create a defence mechanism.

Just wondering if anybody has ever tryed this?

i see what your friend meant by the crysals protecting from light. but to be specific, its to protect from UVB. so, if you have a light thats putting out a lot of UVB, then maybe? as far as i know it doesnt work that way though, or else everyone would be using those reptile lights in the last couple days of flower.

I was thinking to actually do the opersite by this i mean leaving the plant in 24hrs darkness before havesting... i remember reading this can help in the same way you said where the plant htink its life is over as it has no light. If you give the plant more light then wouldnt it think it was doing the opersite of dying?

i am noob but as i am about to chop two plants am intrested s=to see if i can do anything else to make them more potent!!

Get a uvb light. why they havent caught on I'm not sure. I think everyone should use at least one in the flowering room. Thc is basically made to block uv rays from the sun, the more uv rays it gets the more thc it produces to protect itself.

Go with 48hours darkness before harvesting bro! As this is a tested means of positive results and mine is merely a querie of what seems to be unexperienced so wouldnt try it yet untill someone else has! LOL! My reasons for thinking are the "Thinkin the end of the world is coming" Truely, if it was in the genetics to react to the end of the world, it wouldnt be dark, it would be full of light, exploding rocks of fires falling from the skys would light up. Uno? Im sure at the end of the world the lights dont just turn off and we all just go Ahh fuck it, we gave it our best shot, suppose we better jus go die now, Im sure theres a pretty big uproar in some badass shit that dosnt invole alot of darkness.

But however, i think its just tricking the plant by just giving it extra time in the dark there for the hormornes activate for longer therefor leaving more thc in the buds.. No end of the world shit, although that would be kool genetics

yeah bang them under 24/0 for the last few days if you like. Make sure that medium is really dry too, make them suffer.
