I wish I knew the answer, man, I feel your grief ! I feel your pain!
I can say, and I am not the expert and I am not even experienced to answer this, but my uneducated opinion is
if it was me
I would cut off the very dry part, smoke it, and keeep growing the cola!

Roseman does grow a fine bud. Check out his thread. :-)

SAVE THE BUD.
CHOOSE LIFE.

smoke it later, it's not going anywhere.

Keep an eye on your plant for the next week or two. (as you would be doing anyway). If the plant looks like the injury is adversely affecting the health of the plant, harvest the burnt flowers. I would still smoke it even though it is way too early to expect anything other than the "closure". It probably isn't too good a smoke yet.

Patience prevails.

both good ideas i think i'll do a combo of both - im gonna wait and see what happens with the plant and then decide whether i keep it or smoke it - thanx for all the help and any new ideas are wlecome.

I dont' know how high you'd get off smoking a presumably premature bud that has been "burned". I looked around to find the exact temp, but from what I've read in the past (i don't know it to be true or not), THC breaks down at a certain temp. Assuming you have burned the plant I would assume that any or most of the THC within the burnt bud would be minute at best. I'm sure better answers are to come.
