Hey guys, my plants are still pretty young, I'm wondering when I should break out the repellant, it came with a booklet but it doesn't say much about cannibis plants, also do you guys spray them multiple times throughout the veg stage or does one time do the job? Thanks guys

I've heard different, but it's more of a all around repellent for slugs and bugs also, I bought this because most people in the "yup, it's budworm season" thread mentioned that it does help a lot to have repellant

Bud worms cause grey mold or bud rot. What happens is the moths poop or worse lay little worms which nest and poop. BT is really great. If you get grey mold you can use activated trichoderma to kill it though your best defence is to apply alaskan humus tea so the leaf exudates can colonise the mycorrhizae making it harder for the grey mold to take hold.

Its much more toxic then BT and can have lasting effects even after run off and such like killing bees even after drying. Looks like Monsantos attempt to kill us all "organically". It mentions chemical natural approach. No offence to the chemists out there though the foundations for any lab stuff is beyond junk. www.gorillagrow.org. I would be careful with such products my friend your 12 cranial nerves do not repair so well and acitocholine or how ever its spelled is a import brain component in most all species. BT works with this same brain chemical though I imagine the approach has been synthetically modified which scares me.

General rule of thumb is anything from the folks who grow sugar will likely kill you and they will enjoy your death. Careful with that stuff and those people

Not some thing I would want to smoke or have you test on yourself for long term effects.

Do you know of exudates?

if you treating for catapillars...use BT...any product that has BT in it....spinosad is ghood but makes buds taste like shit...

this works good
Safer Brand Caterpillar Killer with BT
I think the standard measure is 1 oz to a gallon...for the stuff u have...spinosad is good before budding..but once it buds the BT is better....

So as long as it's in veg stage it'll be good to use spinosad without the buds ending up tasting like shit? How long should I use bt for when it starts budding? Also how much spinosad mix do you recommend me putting on a young plant, maybe about 3 weeks old

There is no reason to poison the plant in veg as there is no issue of caterpillar issues until well into budding. The worst case is you have a couple holes in a couple leaves in veg. No caterpillar is going to hurt your plants in veg.

At this stage it would do more good to spray the surrounding property to kill any moths that will be laying eggs in your buds later. I would start spraying your plants specifically when they are a couple weeks until flowering and continue to spray once a week until a week before harvest time.

I agree the best is to get the moths though instead of destroying the ecosystem like some greedy child I prefer to take a blow torch and look for the webs in early spring before the foliage just comes out. Moths have wings, they fly from yard to yard with ease and some travel across the country actually. In any case your ecosystem is fragile. Some just add ferts as they saw it was an industry of money and produce garbage that sells as it is associated with folks who know what they are doing and respect the art of cultivation. Others grow properly with out damaging things and produce products that are safe to smoke. No offense though if I found out you were putting that shit on my herb and giving it to me with out telling me I would punch you in the face. You dont smoke chemicals though yall likely go crazy with phosphorus and create caustic scar tissue that destroys everything accept bag weight.

I'm located in Michigan, i'm sure we're gonna have some types of bugs this summer so ill just spray around my plant for safety, then use BT as it starts to bud

You could sure. You could also kick the wall hard enough to break a toe. Both are poor ideas though since this is a cannabis forum I feel it is again important to point out that cannabis was restricted by chemical companies. Another aspect of this is you are destroying the ecosystem around you (run off, others) for no reason. I bet gasoline would kill them too. I hope you do not have a well. Does it concern you it kills many insects like bees which are being destroyed (chemical companies again and pollution) and which otherwise are needed for many plants and a large part of our ecosystem (again) to survive? Perhaps you do not understand the state of things or the impact of such mindsets. I would be happy to further explain if you would like to know.
