Ive seen plants growing outdoors where security lights caused brightness too without hermie. Maybe something to do with the regimented 12/12 as opposed to natures schedule?

Made some ganja caramels tonight. One of my favorite treats. Butter equivalent puts about an ounce of good bud and good trim in this batch. Ive got some chocolate that im making a ganache out of with thc infused csecuredownload-29.jpgream (kief) that im going to dip the caramel in then a dash of fleur de sel to kick off the flavor. Cut into 28 pieces each one should have 1 gram of herb and .1 of kief...I ate what would amount to two store bought caramels an hour ago and damn i feel nice. Time to sweet talk the lady and relax!

Oh im digging rockwool/hydroton as a medium. Girls are on day 4 of flower and starting to stretch. I see roots in the drain hole so im guessing roots will fill these 1.5 gallon containers quite well. Watering is about half as often as perlite at least. I vegged these girls fairly long they are 3x the size of my last batch at this juncture and im watering less....I am somewhat frightened of how large my big BD is gonna be...not sure ill pull a proper scrog here but at least my buds will be supported...i will however trim most of the foliage from bottom 1/3 of the girls next weekend. With the lst and long veg i gave pretty much all of the branching reaches a uniform level so it will be mostly leaf that i trim. I hate PM and my climate its a fucking battle.

Check out these crazy damn swirled leaves hah...imagine if all the leaves looked like this itd be easy to grow outdoors incognito

Hey i have a question. I have a 15 amp digital timer with two outlets on it. I decided to plug my 400 mh in along with my two 600 hps for this grow.

Ok one light and my exhaust and room fans run off their own circuit so i dont want to put the 400 in that set up which has a robust outdoor timer with heavy wiring since its a non grounded (but gfci outlet) that runs from a 15 amp fuse. Id still be under 80% but im very paranoid of fire since ive had a house burn.

Anyway that leaves my other circuit which only has 600 hps on it which runs off the 15 amp digital. I feel safe running 10 amps (400 mh & 600 hps) on the circuit but wonder if thats too much inductive draw at start up for one of these timers without a contactor relay?

Any thoughts? Im just very timid with electricity since my house burnt down. Last time i ran 1000+ off one timer was heavy duty intermatic box.

So sorry to hear about your situation Moe, initially when i heard about it my heart sunk and i thought it must have been some type of miss understanding between you and the police because i thought for some reason that you were medical, but after i caught up with the thread i was horrified to once again realize you are a UK grower, i hope that what ever you are facing you manage to escape it unscathed and i must agree with what a few people have said, if you can fight it please do so, here in the states odor would not be probable cause to kick in your door or cause to get a warrant to kick in your door. I know its not much of a consolation prize but you have inspired and enlightened my self and from the looks of it 100s to 1000s of other growers as to the ways of hempy and I'm sure your legacy will live on in the form of this thread, i really hope every thing works out for you and that what ever consequences you are facing are not too dire. To every one else we should start a kick starter for the defense of Moebius!

Shiva, my first question is will they all be coming on at the same time? I think you would be ok if there was at least a few minutes between starting ballasts..

the Mutant continues at a snails pace but its been cloudy weather...the abnormalities have not spread so it seems to be okay and only impacted the one set of leaves

Have a new baby 2L hempy (Blue Satellite) just sprouted a few days ago in rock wool, now in 100% perlite with soil cap.

both these plants will be sunshine grown, as I will shut down the HPS for the hot summer once the other gals are finished (2 to 3 more weeks)

Thanks Feroce, again the roots out size the pot.

That's one of the advantages of coco, I feel...you can build tremendous root mass in smaller containers, and more root mass=more buds.

LOL Watt I hate the insulation feeling too, Feroce, Great job with the hydrotron, I was just asking about that, seems the plants seem to flimsy in the pots sometimes and I was thinking it would help hold it up better than a lighter medium...
Hydroton was the first thing I tried after deciding never to touch perlite ever again, it works really well...recently I've been experimenting with Growstones instead of hydroton. It's made from recycled glass and thus supplies silica to the plants, eliminating the need for silica supplements. If you pop over to my thread I have one Sannies Jack F7 in a mini-scrog, and I'm using a coco-growstones chow mix instead of layering them...also seems to be working very well and will make recycling the grow medium a whole lot easier...just rake out the roots, rinse and it's ready to go again.

Good thought Whocares..i have the 400 hundred hooked up with the magnetic ballast 600.... maybe ill switch the electronic ballast to that circuit..it has a delay built in.

I understand your start-up concerns. Cap makes a "15 min ON delay timer" HLC-2E. What it does if plugged into a timer,,,,, once it is see's power it will wait 15 mins to let the power pass through. I have one but it is plugged into the source outlet, and my timer is plugged into HLC-2E. This set-up is because my electric supply is rural and at least 5 times a yr we will have a power drop-out anywhere from a min to several hrs. It's the less than 10 min outage that really sucks, because if it happens during lights on you'll get a hot start and can burn out a bulb or a ballast. This timer ensures I get a full 15 mins at least, and haven't ruined a bulb since I installed it.

But Shiva it will delay your start times so you won't have all 3 bulbs kick in at once.

To close tonight
I spent the better part of today to add ventilation to my hood.... by beer 30 I had all the duct and fan work done :wall: except when I plugged in the fan I heard a hi pitched whistle coming from the exhaust hood,,,,,,,,,,, it was sucking, I installed the fan backwards.

I'll fix and post pics tomorrow.

I did some work to my scrog tonight in file 13, I upgraded her bulbs a few days ago, I put in some 42 watt CFL's in 3000 range for blooming, I got the splitters in so I added them to the light bar, went up from 4 to 6 bulbs, added 2 more bulbs to the hanging light and changed most of the bulbs out for bloomers, I'll set her to 12/12 wednesday, Tonight is her first night of 18/6, before that she was 24/7 for the last 2 weeks. I think she has grown in nicely.View attachment 2672240View attachment 2672241 and the new girls in file 13 make their debut.View attachment 2672244 now everyone sitting nicely for family pictures View attachment 2672245 I added the mylar to the door the other night, it opens like a gate, so I have a lot of room to move around

Thats just what i need Watt. Thx. My home is still on a fuse box and running old romex 2 wire. I installed GFCI outlets to every outlet in the house just to be safe, but the house was built in the 40s and i wonder if its the same damn wiring. Its that braided cloth sheathed romex. So i just try to stay overly vigilant. Im no electrician but know a bit from the hobby..enough to know that i need to be careful here. Weird wiring , like 3 sub panels with one or two 30 amp fuses per...running to water heater, stove , furnace....but i cant tell if they are run from the main box as its full up with peripheral shit...

Anyway in this instance im just more worried about fusing my timer with too much draw and your suggestion nails it.

How do I kill them ISK?
Spider Mites are the scourge of summer growing. Your best bet is to get some Neem oil, you can find it at most garden centers. Follow directions on bottle and soak the plants paying special attention to the underside of the leaves. Repeat at least 2 more times. 5 to 7 days apart. I've already started spraying my veg plants weekly just as a preventive.

I use Ferti-lome Fruit tree spray, it's 70% neem with some pyrethrins and other bug toxins. LINK

There are other methods, like predator mites, which work great if you have a local retailer that carry's them.
