Hi again and man does this thread move fast..

Dummy/newbie guidance needed coming up..(sorry)

So have the container sorted, clone in 100% perlite.... Do I just follow instructions on my 2-part veg nutes, added to room temp rain water...

Surely that cant be it..???
As Moe said start off around 1/2 str nutes and ph to around 5.8-6.3. I like to stay on the higher end within .2 of 6.0. It will take anywhere from 3-10 days for the roots to get established and reach the rez but from my experience and a couple of other guys on here too, less watering seems to make the roots respond faster.

When you water get a feel for the weight of a full bucket and over the next 2-5 days you can judge by how light she gets when to water next. I always like to let my buckets dry out really good but other people water daily with excellent results so it will end up a matter of preference for you.

And definitely get some cal/mag and use it every feeding. It really helps the plant manage nutrient uptake IMO.

I'm am a bit high of some earwax right now, shit who am I kidding I am totally ripped this is some really good stuff lol! If some of this post seems hard to understand I apologize!

My first try at butane turned out pretty good I think. Really potent and clean tasting, I love this stuff. The container on the left is from bud and the one on the right is trimmings. I definitely notice a difference in taste and quality.

Here is a shot of my girls day 30

Things are going pretty boring in my room at the moment. Just vegging away. I think its taking quite a bit longer for roots to hit the res with my rockwool/hydroton medium compared to perlite. Ive been watering daily to promote roots even though i doubt i would have had to water at all yet as far as water consumption/medium drying out. Wondering if maybe i should let them dry out significantly to encourage root growth? Im getting growth on my girls but not the rapid growth that says hey my feet are soaking in the res. Maybe be more like a 3-4 week veg on these fillies. Thats fine after giving some good folks a jar or two each I still have 20 jars curing. I ended up getting slightly over 2 lbs from my two 600 watt lights, im shooting for more this time with half the plants but we will see how the rockwool does...

Decided that im going to flower my BD momma and grow up a little cutting to replace her. Flowering an afghan x blueberry too in order to have room for the Berry Bomb seeds i made a while back. I wasnt blown away by the one berry bomb girl i flowered to get seeds but damn were the 10 pack i popped homogenous so im hoping my S2? (f2?) seeds are similarly uniform and that a few of them blow me away when not pollinated. Next run will be 100% berry bomb from seed...

Im roasted and overly verbose right now haha. Where ARE our missing WOH folks?View attachment 2637317
Hey Shiva, I've always believed that letting the medium dry in a new bucket promotes fast root growth. I've got a veg bucket now that I haven't watered in over 10 days, the coco on top is still moist, so I won't be watering until it gets dried out some more. So if the rockwool near the top is still moist, I'd hold off watering until it dries out a bit.

Moe, Wax and oil are hard to manage in joints, your best bet is using an Oil Rig. I also use a small pipe, put in some cig ash then a small chip of the wax, heat it and it will melt into the ash.

Edit: In the photo they were new, they don't look like that now bongsmilie

lots of this stuff is still new to me. For more than 15 years all I could ever smoke was cheap nasty brick hash that was mixed with all sorts but never again.

The bubble hash I make is not easy to get in joints either. ..especially in the first few days. but I like the taste and experience so I just pile it in and roll the joint. :bigjoint:

I'll try to make oil at my next crop, but it's not as straight forward as washing up a bag of frozen weed to get the bubble and that has put me off.

AWESOME  congrats dude.

I really like my extracts. It doesnt get much better than smoking home-made produce. .. I'm all out of hash but after seeing your pic, I'm going get some ice. LOL

How are you smoking it? In joints?
Most people I know vape in small portables like this http://www.atmosrx.com/Atmos-Optimus-Kits/View-all-products.html I just put some on top of some herb in my bong or a pipe. I flash a bit of flame on it to melt, let it sit for a minute then smoke like normal. Works decent but there is some wastage this way I'm sure.

Definitely plan on purchasing a vape. Again having never used one im still hesitant. Will get one though after the thousand other things I need/want, they're not cheap.

For a long time smoker like me, the vapes take alot of getting used to. The vaping experience is alot different than smoking for me. I never seem to get that GOOD hit feeling off a vape, with good lung expansion and the feel of smoke vs. vapor. The vapes work really well and are probably healthier for you, but the actual combustion and inhalation of smoke is part of the cannabis experience I've been ingrained with.

I have a desktop vaporizor, it was easier for him to use and I could blow it in his nose and mouth, and you don't burn up all your product

I got a decent lil vap off ebay for 30$, not the best design but does the job and for the price you cant go wrong.
Im more of a smoke guy myself, but i like to use it in the mornings so i dont get that couchlock high. for me, its more of a light-energetic high and wears off pretty quickly.

Some updated pictures. I couldn't ask for better pictures, looks really healthy to me, I just hope it's a girl. Just started my 6th week of growth (sprout first appeared on 3/25).

Yes, she looks healthy, more light would certainly speed up that growth.

When are you going to switch 12/12?

Hrmm. I thought I had about perfect light. The area is about 2.70 square feet and I have 3,084 lumens per square foot right now. When I did my initial research, 2500 lumens per square foot Is what I have listed as a target, and I'm over that now. Interesting, I may need to research a bit more.

I had planned on going 12/12 after about 6 inches tall or 1/3 of my final ideal plant size. I think it's almost 6 inches now, but it's so small and bushy I was thinking of letting it go maybe another week or two before cutting over. Thoughts?

I'd have to agree with slacker in that most vapes are the baby aspirin of smoking devices. The exception are the inflatable bag type, like the volcano. You can get a pretty gnarly hit off one of those. Hittin' my DaVinci right now. Cheers!!!!

Moe I'm just here day by day,,,it's been 2 weeks and it's hard. I got his death certificates in the mail and could not bear to read them, I had to take it to his job for the life insurance and I made his boss open them, then when I saw it on paper...well now it's all legal.

I'm still thinking about getting away...not sure where yet, it's been a long 8 months while he was sick. Were together 28 years, never apart for more than a few days, now it's a big ole empty 5 bedroom house, doesn't even feel like home anymore :(

Okay I left my comfort zone and bought some seeds from the Tude. I even ordered some autos, G-13 Pineapple Express. I want to grow them outdoors this summer. Would love an August harvest. Any words of wisdom from past auto growers?

As far as I know the 2500 lumens per sqft is meant for veg. I think 5000 is optimal for bloom. Peace!!
