View attachment 2580209 So after hearing a lot of good things i bought some. Directions say add once. Anyone chime in on how theyve used it with other nutes? Im in the middle of week 5 day 39 and my buds are just starting to really bulk so i figure now would be the time to add a flower booster.
Canna Pk13/14 has been one of my best secrets kept outside of WOH. I use the Canna line-up and I start my adds of PK13/14 just when the smaller puff-ball buds start to appear "connected" in that spiral fashion along the main colas. This is usually week 5 of flower. I use it per the dosage on the Canna feed charts for 7 to 10 days. In 2 gal buckets that's about 2-3 feedings. I do drop my base nutes down about 2-3ml/gal during this time as it can be "hot" for some strains per a member here on RIU. The effect is amazing...the colas start forming "ball bats" immediately and the daily rate of change will have you dropping your jaw. You can bet you'll have some hogs at 8weeks.

hey Jela 10 i'm a new grower, i'm starting my grow in mapitousa medium 10 plants in 3gallon smart pots under 2 1000 hps in a 5x9 gorilla grow tent, my nutes are b'cuss a and b, b'cuss root blastic, super vit, superthrive, and cal mag. i didnt first plan to run this medium i was going to do super soil, i seen some youtube feeds with limbo and MapitoGrow in there gardens, love everything about it. i seen on here you was using it with success, so if you have any advice, thing to do not do would be helpful.
Dog, I used it with great success although I had a great strain working for me too. Here is the link to my inputs and grow progress with the mapito. I used the same brand you are using, rinsed it thoroughly, pre-charged it with 350ppm nutes and off it went. I used Canna "Substra" for my base nutes.

Hi, I have transferred four one month old critical kush from dwc to 13 litre hempy buckets, prob 10 litre each 2-1 perl/verm mix, hole is pencil size 2inch from bottom, feeding with rainwater and dm gold a/b at 6.2ph. The reason I changed is that I'm terrified of root rot and I lost some last time in dwc. My question is how to avoid root rot in hempy besides overwatering. I have a feeling the heavy verm mix wont help things, and can I add DM Zone to the nute mix, will that help? any other ideas/comments appreciated. Thanks

hey guys....Found some little bananas coming out one of my plant's buds but no pollen sacks....im 8 weeks in, and the plant looks like it needs another week...Is this a hermie? They are about the size of a toe nail and there is no pollen (I dont think) to come out because its not an actual sack so im confused......Never stressed her and the temp/humidity is perfect (75/40%)..

Very good chance those do have pollen. Bananas are very typical of a plant that selfs. A good number of cannabis plants will self late in flowering. As long as they just showed up if you are only going another week i wouldnt worry the worst you may get is a small crackle once or twice when smoking it. You can just yank the bananas as you find them. I pulled a plant this run that hermied then found two or three more from my crosses that popped a sack or two. Ive dealt with em so many times that now i just do a daily check and know that ill find a sfew seeds in my stash. I dont sell it so it doesnt bother me too much. Although next run is only known stable genetics for me lol....it is time consuming checking.

dang that sucks, I thought it had to be a full sack in order to contain pollen in it...aww well...I might just chop it monday instead of waiting til thursday which would have been week 9 just to be safe. I have 7 other girls in the same room and would hate for them to get ruined as well.

Fed my girls in perlite their first pk 13/14 at 3 ml per gallon which is half reccomended. Will feed my soil girls tmrw, think the soil ones may only get two or three doses while im going to hit my perlite ones every day for a week long as they dont react badly.

Booofucking hoo found some damned PM on two of my sandwidows....good bye pretty white pistils as im going to greencure everything as prevention.

Anyone ever mention how fun it is gardening when you are pukey sick with the flu hah!

ohhhh you have younger girls in there? Yeah if you need pure sensi chop the bitch. Sometimes the pollen is sterile when they self but def not always. Bananas are tricky as they dont tend to blossom open like pods do but if you crush em in your fingers you will see pollen.

Everything is 8 weeks in the room except a baby cotton candy thats 2 weeks into flowering. I was chopping them down on thursday (which would have been week 9) but now that I see bananas on this aurora indica im going to chop her early and let the rest go until thursday.

I just checked the plant again and it seems like the bananas are only on about 2-3 branches..The rest of the plant looks fine. And also, I took clones from this plant before I flowered it so will the future clones hermie as well? I hope not because I have them going in floweing thursday and that would suck big time......The bananas are still tiny so do you think I can hold off on chopping til monday?

dr.j, when you say "traditional" , do you mean just perlite and vermiculite?I just want to get some mothers out of my first run, so i'll experiment and get back to you. That diy tread you turned me on to was good stuff, thanx.I'm in the process of setting up my flower tub.I know each strain grows differerntly, hieght is an issue for me and cant get more than 6'.when you go straight from clone to flower it seems like they shouldn't get more than 3 or 4 feet high, or could they? Most of my experience is outdoors. With my indoor endeavors I have learned several ways not to grow bud.I bought a shitload of books by well known stoners and been studying them for weeks now.I've focused on technical stuff so far.the transition form outdoor to indoor isn't nearly as easy as I thought it would be.When I got my lights the kid at the hydro store threw in a free starter kit of nutes from techna flora.I was going finish my flowering area and then bone up on nutes.I am open to suggestions though.I know everybody hates newbie questions,so thanx for talkin to me.

G, everybody had to learn just like you, trial and Error for most older growers. A lot of your knowledge from growing outdoors will be helpful to indoors. You will have to learn to scale your grow back for indoor. When you are ready for nutes, you can expect to get bombarded with "I use this" or "use this brand" but it all comes down to what your wallet will let you use and what you feel gives you the best results. There are several brands of nutes that are not as expensive as others and you might end up trying a few before you settle with one, don't get set on one particular brand right away as like the rest of us you will experiment and add or take away something.

Sometimes this thread talks on such a high level that I struggle to comprehend, but yet people will provide practical advise that a rookie can understand...... and always lots of encouragement, that's the best part.

RIU is a great site, WOH is my favorite thread and we all miss Moebius...hope he gets his PC sorted soon

Glad to have you joining us at WoH. There really isn't that much difference from outdoor to indoor. The main bonuses is stealth, chances are someone isn't going to stumble across your plants indoors, with proper stealth practices. You are in control the environment, make your grow close to optimal conditions and your plants will reward you (genetics plays a role here as well). Most strains have a 1-2x stretch, with most Sats giving even more stretch. If height restricted, stick to indicas and hybrids. You're right that most would only stretch to 3-4ft but some can stretch more. Only way to know if the strain will work for you is to look up breeder info on the strain and check for some grows online to see their results. You say your experienced growing outdoors, don't get overwhelmed on the indoors as it really isn't that complex. I will give you what I think is the most important part of indoor / hempy grows!!Always make sure your solution is properly PH'd (for hempys it's 5.8-6.2 with 6.0 being optimal but not required to be dead on everytime). I'm semi victim to not checking in the beginning and instantly seeing deficiencies in my plants. Soon as I corrected the problem was all good. I have read countless threads/grows from other people that started to get issues with their plants due to PH being out of wack. This is imo the biggest factor to keep in check to have good results. Like it was stated here already, we all started out in the exact same spot. RiU has tons of knowledge, so start reading/researching everything that comes to mind. If at all you can't find the answer you're looking for or don't understand the answer that was given just ask, WoH is full of awesome, helpful peeps. Peace!!

Anything is possible, why not just grow in coco? There are a few people here that use coco and perlite. They place the perlite in the bottom portion of the bucket up to and above the drain then the rest is coco. You will find many dislike the vermiculite as it degrades over time and makes a real mess when cleaning up after the grow. I believe it would be best to mix your coco mulch with ground fiber for better moisture retention.
