I swear hempy is a lazy mans grow medium. I've haven't been doing a good job with this grow. I've been feeding them once a week (house of garden nutes). I've just been to busy with my other grow that's in coco. These are wanna be cali connection Girl Scout cookies ( wich I recommend not to buy because they hermie on me) that's not a good candidate for sog. Here's are pics of 2 of them. I have about 90 of them under 2x600. I didn't defoliate like I should. Next round I'll do better but next round I'll have 120 of these girls with some c02. I going to try and average 13-15 grams per plant. Do the my math....image.jpg Day 52

My next hempy to go into the flowering closet is a Kosher Tangie that is my first mainline attempt. That will get rotated in after I chop Somango Widow in a few weeks.

I will get some pics of KT up soon.

Hello everyone!

I'm super confused on when to start flushing in hempy. I read a variety of opinions of when to flush soil grows but can't seem to find a guideline on when to flush hempy.

My sweet dark devil is in her 7th week. Trichs are 100% Milky
Do I taper off nutes then start flushing w/pH'd water?
How long should I flush because it is coco as opposed to soil?

Any help would be appreciated!
This picture was from 4-03. The pistols have since started to recede and change colors in about 80% of the plant. While she is an auto, she is basically right on the breeders timeline of an 8 1/2 week finish.
SORRY: I can't figure out how to re-size photos in RIU's new setup just yet!

I would only flush if I took a shit in my bucket. I've done it both ways in hydro and I have found no noticeable different. The plant needs to eat in its last week or 2.

So you shit in your hydro and hempy buckets? I've always wondered if human fert had decent potential

Great to see RIU back, but didn't we lose about 400 pages?
In about 10 minutes back on I've noticed the inability to choose 10-20-30-40 posts per page, the inability to multi-quote, and the inability to size up a poster without the rep and # of posts credentials. So far it's a little disheartening. Well, I guess I can finally see all the smilies :dunce::wall:

Hi Y'all, good to see the site back up.

Well I am at day 51 of 12/12, hard to say how much longer. Three gallon 80/20 Perlite/Vermiculite, Will go straight Perlite couse grade next grow.
Lucas formula for GH Maxibloom. 7 grams/galon! Working well.

The things I have read have said 8 weeks on the WW and 10 weeks on the Ice, But have been reading post of folks that grow them, most say 9 to 10 weeks on the WW (68 days) and 10 plus on the Ice (70 +days) not sure, I am watching thricomes. From what I have read, on the Ice I need to look for majority cloudy, next is amber then clear remaining. The WW I am not sure, there are so many different breeders calling theirs WW. My strain is from Amsterdam Seed, so just not sure they say 8 weeks, I am no where near ready to harvest IMHO!

Well here are some pics, I also have a clone from the WW that will finish as a bush once these ladies are done.

Mistakes made during grow!

Flowered to long, trimmed too much, figure I lost at least 4 zips for the entire grow
Thinking I had a light leak, but could not find it.

Damn it, I hate that.

Oh well I am expecting 5 zips from the three plants and another 1.5 or so from the bush.

BLJ, I have always flushed, I believe it reduces any harshness from the nute, organic or not.

GR I know folks that swear by flushing. I am not one of those. When I have done it I notice no significant differences in taste and flavor. I definitely dial back the nutes at the end but I have found the dry/cure processes to be far more important for taste

Just wanted you guys/girls to meet WW Bush, no relation to George W. She is much better looking, LOL

She is the clone of my WW mainline. Growing her as a bush, she has many cola and I am working at training them, I think there are 18 cola. She is in day 23 of 12/12 and in the cabinet with the other ladies, but will have the cab to herself within the next 14 to 18 days. That will give her 30 days or so to do her thing all by her little lonesome.

We are growing in 2 gallon Hempy Buckets, with the Lucas formula for GH MaxiBloom, 7 grams per gallon of H2O that is pH'ed to 5.8.

Peace out,

GR

Where are you in your grow?

Rapid start is good to get the roots to the res but once there I would do GH Maxibloom at 7 grams per gallon every watering/feeding then at flower I have gone to 16 grams of Maxibloom and 5 grams of granulated KoolBloom 2-45-28 granular. Just trying it.

The girls are doing well.

GR
I would like to clairfy, The Lucas formula calls for 7 grams per gallon of Maxibloom, I always mix 3 gallons so that is 21 grams.
The 16 grams of Maxibloom and 5 grams of Koolbloom 2-45-28 totals 21grams. I have suspended that protocal, and gone back to MaxiBloom @ 21 grams.

I haven't posted an update in a while, probably cause it hasn't been that smooth carefree grow.

Had a rough veg testing a new potting soil, cured those deficiencies, used the bottom of my OC jar with the dust. 3wks later I thought I was overfeeding, but I was wrong it was a P deficiency. Anyways I think I have it under control. Here are the 2 Satori girls @ 6wks, they still have 3 to 4 wks to go, on the + side they are very frosty for sativa dom, and I getting some purple, maybe that's just the stress. Satori_14-04-05 008riu.jpg Satori_14-04-05 010riu.jpg Satori_14-04-05 015riu.jpg

I went back to my standard for the clones and they are doing much better. I do have a oddity that I have never seen before, one clone is a perfect symmetrical tripod (3 branches per node)

Hey Watt, very good of you to reckon that it may be stress and that you're not the superman grower everyone else thinks they are when they see misleading coloration. Most people piss me off because they're like ccchoooo brahhh check my red and purple leaves, real exotic and potent, huh? :dunce:

NO, it's a nutrient imbalance or lockout of some sort. I can tell you from experience that I've seen it one time, on my last run. I'm not 100% sure what it may be but I can tell you that it wasn't terrible until weeks 5-8 when it got progressively worse every time I used flowering boosters. It was the number one reason I started reading all sorts of Uncle Ben, etc. and can now say for certain that flowering feeds are shit. 3-1-2 and 1-3-2 all day baby. I ran Fox Farms (ya ya so what) for the fifth time or so and only this time was an issue because I rocked the flowering concentrate trio a lot harder.

My suggestion would be to flush and keep a good ratio while getting all the important micros. Otherwise you're close enough where your girls are going to be great anyway.

I know they are ugly now, but they are still in good enough shape to finish. I total agree with the UB philosophy of grow lots of green leaves till the end, and normally start with a 15-9-12 in veg and flower with a 14-14-14 just should have thrown out the bottom of the last jar.

Flushing for me doesn't work well for me, using CRF's. This grow is just one more little experiment that didn't turn out the way the vision I had when I started.

I hear ya man, like I said I had a similar ordeal last time. Fortunately your situation is very mild, and with 3-4 weeks to go for those girls I think you're going to get some unreal results! The nugs are already frosty and the colas will plump up a ton more for sure.
