busy day in my grow room today,,,the vault got 4 new plants, I finally got the timer working and will start 18/6 this week then 12/12,...someone told me they had to have a dark period before I put them into flower???? how long might this time period be? the plants are 3-5 weeks old and I'm hoping to do some sexing as well as they are bagseed.... Ok i got 4 T5 grow bulbs and adapters to try them out...they will be here later this week, I got my one hydro going in a new container...it had some long roots and now it has it's own light and bubbler so I hope to see a happy plant...oh yes and tried LST and tied it down where I had rocks holding the stems, I had a root forming, so I used a twist tie and attached that part of the stem to the hydro basket to hold her down. I ordered 5 more y light splitters and a light meter too...yes a ph meter too...got the Boom room running on better power and rewired the short bus for the new floruescents I put on a shelf with the gallon club hempys sitting in front of it, so kinda top front lighting for the gallon containers...I planted about 24 bagseeds into the hydro tank today and put some good Wappa seeds in to germ :) All my new seeds are females nad I need to make a room for just them? maybe the vault when everything is set up...replanted about 15 plants into Hempy this weekend too, mostly into cups, I don't have enough bottles yet and I can't drink that much soda...Yep Busy day in my grow room.

I mixed a tsp of DE into a quart of 7.2 ph tap water and it brought it to 7. Added 2 subsequent tsp and checked after each and the PH remained at 7. Just for giggles I poured it into 2 houseplants. We'll see if it kills them! I do think it would kill bugs in the roots though, so if they live we can call it plausible? Needs further testing :)
Where would i aquire DE?

Dank, I've always wondered, is there any chance that after a breeding season, the male pollens stick around on surfaces or objects and eventually pollinate future grows? Lets say I know a lot about mycology and mushroom spores and the years of dormancy they can sustain.....it would be the only thing holding me back from MMJ breeding activity's in my home.
While pollen can remain viable for a goodly amount of time often it does not...especially in huid environments. When i was doing it big I ran a 5 foot male plant in houwe that had two bloom rooms. The male was in veg room and was culled after collecting pollen. That grow we found about 100 seeds(and im sure customers did too)from the pollen getting on clothes et cetera. That same room was used for flowering a month or two later and that crop came out sensi. I did spray the room down though. In other breeding/pollen chucking I have done i just wait until a male has balls but aint nutting yet then i cut off a few branches and use two solo cups..one with a hole in it for the stem and the bottom cup holds water and has some wooden shishka bob skewers stuck through to hold other cup out of water. Then just jam the male branch through hole and wait. The balls will bust and the pollen lands in the cup. Then I just use a qtip swab up the pollen and use it..or freeze it on the qtip for later. This minimizes problems with free floating pollen.

Moebius, I will get a pic of her tonight. I had to water all my girls today in flower + veg and transplant a few babies in cups so I didnt really have the time.

DE works great for bugs.... just dilute a little bit in some water and spray ur plants. After the water evaporates the powder starts drying up the exoskeleton of bugs. Then the die. Great natural product. You can find it at natural food stores too like whole foods or trader joes. And yes even home depot and lowes has it occasionally. My wife distributes this stuff... it has many uses and works amazingly well

@ whocares100. They do make adapter clips so you can snap a T5 into a T8or12 fixture, but the ballast is still made for a T8 (32w) and the ballast doesn't care if u put a 54w bulb in the fixture, it will only produce the 32watt output.

Just straight RO water with Cal/mag and a few drops of roots excelurator to get the roots down to the res. I'll just run these with straight OC+, since I'm using them to breed. If they look like they are lacking, I can take notes on how to improve and what to add.
That's the problem with OC there is nothing to add, only problem I've ever had is lockouts either cal/mag or ph, keep that in check and you'll get bored looking at green healthy plants.

I just mixed up the ingredients for my CoCo Hempy in a Tupper wear box. The proportions are just intuitive guess work.

I filled the 2L Hempy to the top with CoCo, poured it into the box and used a shot glass for the other ingredients - 10 Worm Humus, 1 Fish Powder, 1/2 Seaweed Powder, 1/2 Palm Tree Powder, 4 Bat Guano.

I watered with 1ml Seaweed Extract and 1/4 tea spoon of BlackStap Molasses per Litre of water.

I used one of the weaker rooted Clones.

I'll give it 4 or 5 days Veg then into the flower room

^^^ This should prove interesting enough, definately going to watch for updates. I'm banking on it to do very well, it always seems the ones we think aren't so great prove us wrong.

Moebius, are you ph'ing the water or no?
Good question, Nah.

The pens batteries seemed to have rusted. I really really don't like pH down and I'm not sure the plant does either. ... also, it would'nt be 'organic' if I did.

What do you guys think about rain water? Is it safe LOL in 'my' garden? It rains almost everyday where I am, should I collect it for this organic Hempy?

One thing I intend to do with this 'organic Hempy' is water without runoff. ..or try.

reason. All the nutrients are contained with the 2L Hempy and I don';t want them bleeding out the drainage holes. Also, I would like to create a living system in there (if poss). I don't know what benefical bacteria (if any) will build up in there and I don't want them escaping either.

I'm considering adding a bloom tea of mainly bat guano @ 4 weeks

So I have a little garden and it is 2 weeks and one day into flower, I just thought I'd share.
HG 4 001.jpgHG 4 004.jpgHG 4 009.jpg This is my own strain, it's a 3 way cross. 2 plants in 2 gallon buckets and 1 plant in a 3.5 gallon bucket.
HG 4 012.jpg This is my NL x BB in a 3.5 gallon bucket, first time growing this strain. I am growing in straight perlite.

Hey Moe, I applaud this experiment. I got this experiment on my list, but have to wait till summer to build some supersoil.

I don't think that a 2L will house enough organic mater to make it through a 8 to 10wk run. So you'll be needing that tea to keep it going. It's just going to be hard to guess when to start adding because the tea probably won't react as fast as the bottled nutes do.
You are breaking new ground (no pun) here, and my thought might be way off, but I do know there is a lot to be learned thru this.

Rep + if it's let me!!
