There is some stretch on the lemon skunk since its more sativa dom. The purple wreck is a devastator. Everyone I've known that's grown it still has it in their garden.

Awwww shit thanks for the reminder. Purple wreck sounds nice but I'm going to jump on the purple og#18 from the attitude promo. Mixture of og#18 with purple wreck.

Hey guys, I read the first 85 pages but didnt see anything about growing hempy with Osmocote plus. I was wondering if anyone out there is using the osmocote plus (time released nutrients) with their hempy buckets.

whats up boss?
just so happens i'm embarking on the KISS style of hempy growing, OC+ tap H2O and molasses @ 1-2tbsp/gal (ph'd w/organic ph down/up)...check out the link: Dr.J's Hempy Hydrorganic/OC+ Adventure, 2K13

Got any experience with this rig? google docbud hempy oc+ and look into it for an idea of where I'm getting my ideas

be easy...also, for those of you who missed it in the links page and in the grow journals forum, i've got a journal going...its the above link...subb up if you're interested!
be easy,

Sounds good, Ill check the link out now. Also im familiar with docbud, I read some of his journals a while back. Im currently using OC+ with cal mag, and General organics biothrive grow (for veg) and for flowering im using fox farm big bloom and cal mg. I plan on getting some dynagro protekt to thicken the stems up some in the near future but I think thats about it.

I was thinking about using the general organics biothrive bloom but not sure if I need it as the OC+ pretty much provides all the nutrients the plants need....

Moe, I have to ask, I was introduced to foxtailing as a "good" thing when it first happened to me. But I see more and more comments here on RIU about it being a negative aspect. Could you explain why it is unwanted and maybe the cause of it? My last grow saw some huge divisions in the upper cola on one...and it was my prime selection while curing (like, yeah this is the one I'm smokin first). Thanks hempy brother!
It's only negative is possibly bag appeal. ... actually, after what you say maybe I should think about this again. Before I started growing I use to see lots of foxtail bud in my weed but never knew what it was, I just thought it was a type of weed. Then somehow, I guess Ive let it get in my head that its a BAD thing. I guess its a bit like buying banana's that are too curled, they taste just as good but get rejected buy the supermarkets. I don't want my weed rejected. lol tbh, The taste on the Royal Cheese is possibly the truest to the UK Cheese Ive come across yet. ... Its very nice and ive had good reports back from some I grew in soil a few months back.

edit: Thanks for the link.

I know, Lemon Skunk is a stretcher, Ive grown the GHS version a few times. .... I guess I'm hoping to find an abnormally short pheno, I really love the taste and bag appeal. I also want to grow G13 haze but again, experience tell me it does the same.

Oh well <sigh> I think im going to have to stick to shorties, I can grow the bigger varieties but its not the best use of my specific Grow-space. Lemon OG kush might be worth a try but Im beginning to think all weed with high limonene content are Sativa based and therefore stretchy.

I would like to congratulate everyone who has had success with mapito in this thread, I am proud to have seen others find success with what I believe is arguably the best medium ever. Great job guys:clap:

Why dont you top hard and scrog a few of the haze varietues you like? That should keep em short enough.
I do love haze.

Topping encourages lateral growth and that takes up alot of space in my setup, which is mainly all horizontal. I may give it a go but I'll probably only get 1/4 of the bud I would get with 'shorties' in 2L's and it'll be more tricky come feed time.

The holy grail for me are plants with interesting flavours, bred into strong indica's.

I gotta have sativa dom smoke around the house, if I give the wife a heavy indica saturday morning, it'll be old movies all day, but a good sativa and then the house gets cleaned, laundry done..................

Shiva was your purple wreck a hard or slow plant to clone ? I have a nice mom as well and it takes forever for clones to root. Just curious how it is for other's as well.

newworld,...good to see you pop in. You gave me advise one time about not needing perlite in the hempy res when using mapito and you were right on...you were also one the few to comment about it here on RIU ....with not a lot of experience talking elsewhere ..could I ask about your experience with mapito and/or hempy? Got some grows or links to such? We are hungry at WOH...

These are tentatively what I'm going to use for my scrog. They are about 1.5 gal like my blue bucket and there will be 3. They seem kind of small but when I see what my other one did I think they can handle it. My thoughts are, what am I going to use as a tray? The red plates would probably work ok and I might be able to slide them out still for cleaning. Worst case I throw a towel in the plate to soak up the solution if I need to flush and the plates full. If I go with something deeper I surely won't be able to remove it. What say all of u.

Evo yes the purple wreck was actually a Bitch to.clone. I normally get close to.100% clone rate with the wreck it was prob 60% and took em about 15 days to root. Once rooted though they grew well and finished product is fantastic.
