Hey y'all! I love to workout, and I also love being able to show that potheqds can bash the normal view of them and not be lazy!:fire:
I think it would be a good idea to have a thread where every time you workout you post on here, maybe a brief summary of what you worked out. This could be q thread for motivation and support for those who want to become the healthiest stoners they can be!:blsmoke:

I will start it off! Today was my back/bi day, and I did my normal routine, but I qm getting stronger and stronger! I have been working out wonsitantly for almost 8 -9 months now and am LOVING what my body is becoming!

Looks like your post failed, although it was only posted yesterday. Anyways, I go work out every day aswell.. Today was leg day, up to doing 315 x 4 squatting free weights. I'm also loving what my body is becoming, I started around a year and a half ago or so.

Damn! How many reps? That's good. I always laugh when I see peeps in the gym squatting a couple of plates and then go down and get halfway to 90 then stop and think that's a full rep lol. My legs are weak. I'm not saying I have a more difficult time body building, but do to my height 6"4 I do have a more difficult time :/ more potential sure, but it is taking forever to get bigger. I will be working out my legs and lower back and lower abs tmrw though!

Edit* everyday workouts? Damn, I don't have the energy for that and life lol

inspired. how do you motivate yourself for every day work out. I don't remember that whole week hitting the gym. Currently i am on the task of gaining weight. It would be nice to having a thread where a newbie can take suggestions and improve.

Gaining weight is difficult! It's all about outside of the gym for that! If you have any questions just post them here! Thwysbwhat this thread is for!

I can do 315, for one set, 4 times, and my ass goes below my knees. I weigh 180lbs and am 5'11, so i have a bit of an advantage in the squat department, definitely easier for short people. I enjoy laughing at people who don't even go to parallel while squatting aswell. I also shouldn't say every day, but forsure 5-6 days a week. Whenever I'm not feeling it, or got a bad sleep, I'll just take the day off. I will never do it more then once a week though. I am also a youngin (21) and my body recovers fairly quickly, which is a main reason behind why I can go so often, just listen to what your body is telling you. There's a huge difference between being sore, and feeling tired, in comparison to being fatigued. Also nutrition is by far 100000% the hardest part about lifting weights.... You don't eat properly, you will see minimal results. Trust me, before I started to go to the gym on the regular i weighed around 145lbs... I am now 180, with the same amount of body fat, or less. I definitely do not don't know it all, but i'd be glad to help some people out, and answer a few questions, and If i don't know the answer I'd probably try and help you find it.

Yeah, I am trying to gain weight and lift heavier so I am only doing 3 days a week right now. I did legs today, and shoulders, walked out feeling like jelly haha.
It took me forever to get to the point where I have finally started liking what I am become g probably 5-6 months but DAMN its worth it.
I have made it into a habit so I have to almost force myself to stay away for rest days but if you are having a hard time motivisting yourself, just smoke a bowl as soon as you get done!
Working out releases endorphins and dopamine, and then when you get done, you smoke a bowl before you get in the shower, oh myyy. Talk about the ultimate relaxation!

I have found I do multiple reps of isometrics over and over... or something....

I gotta say... Want to loose weight? Eat Less, do not work out... working out builds muscle... new muscle will weigh more than old fat...
So put yourself on a 2000-2500 Calorie diet write down everything you eat... eat low fat content...the weight will fall off....

A natural lean body is way more sexy than any muscled body... women tell me....

However, for yourself, lift, but realize, lifting is just a selfish waste of time... you are not healthier.... just more muscled...

Oh yeah! I hate when people talk about weight, that doesn't mean shiiiit. Body fat percentage! But that's why I cut to 165 and now I'm back to 180ish because I wanted abs lol. I think people also forget that everyone is different so even if you get super low bf% you won't necessarily have a 6 pack

Haha, Not true. You're lazy too huh?

As we age, at some point, ppl begin to lose a percentage of their body mass including muscle, EACH YEAR. The more muscle you can maintain going into your senior years, the better chance you will have at remaining injury free and maintaining good mobility. Muscle also impacts your overall metabolism positively.

You sir, are ridiculous. It would not take me much research to provide you with verified sources, that state, physical activity DOES in fact, improve you "health". You also burn calories while working out. So regardless of whether you are lifting weights, swimming, or any other physical activity, you should workout if you'd like to lose weight in a healthy way. It can do nothing but help you with your goal. Anways, back on track... Yeah I love smoking right after hitting the gym hard, then having a shower. Ultimate relaxation.

It really is! Ugh, y'all ha e any tips for building leg strength? I can't help that I have long legs and therefore long muscles! It just sucks when I am continually stuck at 150ish for my squats :/ back squats at least, I am pretty decent with front squats. I messed up my knee a long time ago and have also had lower back problems, do you think I am having go work through that first?

I really don't understand what your point is... Are you saying I'm wrong? or you are saying nobody should exercise, because you may last longer while having sex? Either way, your post is pretty stupid.. Anyways, Green.. I'll give you an idea of what works best for me personally, for building my leg strength.

Set 1: 45lbs, 12 reps (WARMUP)
Set 2: 135lbs, 10 reps (WARMUP)
Set 3: 225lbs, 8 reps
Set 4: 275lbs, 6 reps
Set 5 315lbs, 4 reps
Set 6: 285lbs, 5 reps
Set 7: 265lbs, 8 reps
Set 8: 225lbs, failure
Set 9: 135lbs, failure.

Make sure you take into account, I have been squatting for over 12 months already.. which is a reason why it is so intense. I train in a pyramid like that for basically every compound lift. Everybody is different. You should start as light as you can, and gradually work your way up... I cannot stress enough, that form is the most important thing to building strength squatting. If your form isn't perfect, or near perfect you should drop the weight. I don't do the exact same thing every-time either, this is just giving you an idea of what I shoot for. Lifting heavier, for less reps will help you become stronger. Try squatting with no shoes on next time aswell. Running shoes naturally roll your feet forward onto the balls, which is the opposite of what your wanting to do while squatting.

If you are really looking to bulk up, use heavier weights and fewer reps. High rep counts with low weights will help to rip up what you currently have one your frame. But to build bulk, step up the weight and go for fewer reps and do not forget the negative motion. There is much to be gained during the negative part of the rep.

I personally do no more than 3 sets of 10 reps and if I can complete the last set, then more weight next time. You want to work to failure.

This maximizes the time spent in the gym. It is often difficult enough to make time to work out, so get the most out of it. But since the goal is to fail with max weight, be sure to have a good spotter or work on a machine that allows you remain safe when you cant make that last lift. I do not have a spotter that I can trust with the weight I lift, so I do not bench with free weights, I will use the seated press machine. Same with squats, free weights are better, but I cannot find guys to spot the weights safely, so I use a machine.
