Wonder Woman from Nirvana

I lack an illuminated microscope........... is there any other way to tell if my buds are ready?

I want them to be fully developed/resinated. Right now the pistils are 50% amber / 50% white. The buds themselves are light green with the resin icing. I dont wanna harvest them if they will contain to produce THC/CBD, but at the same time I dont want to miss out on the peak window of oppertunity to harvest! xD

Help needed quickkk =/ scrambling to find a 30x illuminated microscope. I dont have a radioshack around, just a few hardware stores and a computer store =/

Some people harvest at first showings of amber trichs.. others let them all mostly degrade.. I think it's personal preference and after enough harvests you'll know when you'll want to pull em, by taste.

ITS UPDATE TIME PEOPLE~!

We are in like.. Week 6.5-7.45-ish approximately. Ive got no idea really. Ive got an illuminated 60x-100x microscope IN THE MAIL AS I TYPE. So I guess Ill just harvest when they are 50%-75% amber trichs... which would be around week 8/9/10 haha. So Im not TOO sure what week of flower Im on.

Flowering Buds) You can see how tall they are, they are currently in a 1.0 EC / 5.8 PH solution (1/2 strength nutes before flushed) and will be flushed completely next week. They seem to be swelling up and filling out nice, hopefully it'll be a dank smoke.

Grape Soda) How come the leaves stand up and hugg my CFL bulb like that?! sooo strangeee~ BUT you can see the hairs and my FIM cutt in the new pics. Notice the new 4 main stalks growing.. Successful FIM PEOPLE! I also FIM'd some side branches, for shits'n'giggles.

lol.. you'll get your technique down, but for now you can keep some healthy plants, which is what's really important anyway.

hahahah Ive seen worse first grows, Im just grateful nature hasnt plagued a disease or pest upon my crop. THE NEW SHOW "WEED WARS" IS AMAZING. I shiver everytime I see the spider mites in episode 2 =(


Im curious how the bud will look once cured. Im also curious to the taste/high as well. I dont expect more than 1 oz per plant, so two oz total. Which I think is DEFINATELY there with my buds now.

Today is the delivery of the microscope! Hopefully it gets here before my final at one hahaha

Im looking into a 200x usb scope cant remember the name i think ventro or something but the pics are out of this word!

The new microscope came in a day or two ago, turns out less than 10% of the trichs are amber. Most are still cloudy/clear tops. =P I keep looking for amber.. so I think I see amber... but I know I dont. lol

Well I hate to say it but I think my bagseed is MUCH healthier than my Wo-Wo ladies. The Wo-wo's definately had a rougher start, it took my bagseed 1 month to grow as big as my Wo-wos that took 2 or 3 months. The Wo-wo's should only have a week or two left... hopefully. The EC is at 1.0 and PH is fine. Ill flush in a day or two, then continue the flush till I harvest. My bagseed is definately a smoothier, faster, and nicer grow. FIM'd too! haha. I FIM'd at the start of 12/12... Should I have vegg'd the FIM cutt longer before trying to get buds outta it?

I think you shouldn't FIM or top in flower.

Im so nervous to harvest. My buds have trichs, some are amber under 100x zoom, and they have been in anlow ec solution for a while. I wanna harvest but im doubting myself... Ugh!

Be patient. I know it's hard to wait it out but it will pay off in the end.

I think the fan leaves are hugging the bulb like that for max lighting. plants look good and healthy good job man!

How do you know when its time to chop the ladies though? The top buds look ready but the lower branches arent. Should i let them keep growing or should i wait? I dont wAnna miss the peak harvest window.

Harvest to the main colas. Popcorn nugs are for hash/canna butter.

So the lower branches will be ground up anyways and made hash oil out of. So if the trichs are amber in some spots and 75% pistils are amber then im ready to chop now? Best time of day to chop? Do you give 36 hrs of dark before chop etc etc
