Wonder Woman from Nirvana

7/10 seeds have sprouted within first 4 days :hump: (2 have mini leaves already, the other 5 are still beginning to sprout/corkscrew out of the rockwool). One grew upside down... had the roots out of the rockwool and the seedling was pushing down into the rockwool. I carefully removed the seedling from the rockwool and flipped him.. gently positioning the roots into the rockwool and pressing gently around it to support the seedling upright. Smart move? Or should I have let it try to out-grow the awkward positioning?

My other 3 however havnt showed any life at all however. I dug one up... out of curiousity and I found it hadnt even cracked its shell. Im unsure of the other 2.. just sure that Ive got 3 seeds in rockwool that havnt germ'd or sprout'd. Whats the longest I should wait on these 3 seeds?

Using rockwool (pre-soaked in 5.5 ph water), heat mat (with thermometer set at 77-80 degrees), a humidome, a spray/mist bottle, and an 85 watt CFL (4,200 lumens, 6500 Kelvin). Anything else I could add to setup to ensure success?

I always reposition my seeds so they are growing root down cotyledon up. Some seeds can take up to two weeks to crack. looks like you are doing well by them. I soak my seeds over night...usually the sinkers crack fast and the floaters...well i leave them till they sink and if they dont they are usually not viable. good luck and hope you report back on those wonder woman! great choice

How is the wonder woman? Have you seen/had experience with it? It looks to be semi-white in the nirvana pics.

Everythin we got from them was feminized so we hope lulz. The WW is supposed to be a beast from what I've read. Big commercial yielder with some potent smoke. I do believe its a 4-way hybrid or somethin, but either way I'm phuckin stoked! Nywayz, keep on rockin out with those seedlings man. I'll be lookin forward to hearin how you do :D The Woman is a BIIIIG bitch tho lulz so be prepared for an eye full o_O Blaze on

50 CF of closet space to grow and a potential for 6 plants in hydro system (not to mention my soil experiments). Going to be a full closet I suppose ;)

On day 6 now!
I moved them from the humidome/heat pad/rockwool combo to my SH hydro system (generic 6 cup one). 3 seedlings are 1-1.5"s tall and the other 3 are lil stubs still (little less than 1 inch, but they have yet to grow in height). I mixed up a 150 PPM (MH Instruments) / 5.5 PH res mix, using the Stealth Hydro "grow"/"micro" nutrients. I sprayed the inside of the humidome with distilled water and currently have it ontop of the hydro system. I plan to cut out little cardboard circles to block the light too (algae prevention). Anything a miss here? PPM levels okay?

Heres whats got me stumped. My 85 watt CFL is 15 inches away from the base of the rockwool. My seedlings are between 1" and 3" (one is 3" exactly on day 7 from plant (didnt germ in towel, just went from seed to sprout in rockwool)) inches tall. They all have the first set of round "leaves" and the 1st real mini-leaves sprouting out from that. Is my light too far away and they are stretching? Most pics on this forum the seedlings seem to have 2-3 sets of leaves before they hit the 3" mark. Additionally.... is 150 PPM (Using HM Digital TDS meter) too much for a seedling thats only 7 days old?

150 PPM converts to like .36 EC, I read people starting at 1EC (maybe for soil??) but this seems a little harsh for seedlings, no?

dood your fine ppm for seedlings is generally up to 500 ppm depending how old they are and how gnarly your water is. Mine are getting fed 340ppm tap water til about day ten and i bump em to 500 and then quickly after 800ppm and stay between 800-1000ppm for veg generally speaking some plants are heavy feeders and some are light feeders so you have to pay attention. Wonder woman to me seems to be an average feeder as she is getting the same nutrients as some of my other seedlings and she is way greener than they are and shes older than them too. My wonder woman grows VERY short and stacked, smelled like purple skunk, you know fruitloops fruity with that skunky after smell. Its a VERY vigorous plant, first clone i took rooted in seven days in a slab cube not one of the ones with the plastic around the outside. I put it in a half gallon pot and gave it a vitamin b shot and 4 days later it was rootbound in the half gallon pot so it grows VERY quick and has the root system of a yeilder. This ones a fun one, havent gotten to see any finished smoke from it yet but im pretty excited to grow it its got nice structure early on.

Put the light closer! CFL's should be around 2 - 4 inches from plants at most. I actually have a couple of clones nearly touching my CFL's and they are fine lol I just raise the light 2 inches when the plants grow close enough. As for the PPM question i think you are using the EC x 700 conversion and Kaptain Kron is using the EC x 500 one... 400PPM @ EC x 500 = 1.0 EC which is too high for seedlings IMO. If your using the EC x 500 conversion 400PPM is around 0.5something EC... Hope i haven't confused you lol

.8 EC atm (lil high)

5.2-6.2 PH (Jumps up after 24 hrs in system. Hydroton was rinsed clean before use, idk what the deal is)

70-80 F reservoir temp (watching for algae, using frozen salt water bottles with rocks in bottom for chillers)

Seedlings are 9 days old and 3 inches tall. I had the lights way to high, they are top heavy and are bending atm. I positioned a non-oscilating fan (only thing I have.. its a Westinghouse from like the 70s or 80s.. its sweet. No on/off switch, just plug it in and it starts.. oscilating assembly is broken on it tho =|) pointed at the wall so they catch a less intense breeze. They all wiggle slightly from the fan.. which I hope will strength the stems. They look sad not being able to support themselves. Hopefully the lowered light will help too.

Sending pics to email, uploading soon.

  ;-) First Set of Pics for First Grow. Exciting?!

I need advice on the bending plants. Keep them supported or let them drop and see if they can pull themselves out of it? And yes, one of my plants only has one leaf... Reminds me of finding nemo
