Haha thanks JP.. I appreciate it..

So I just read that this may not necessarily be a genetic variation, but it could also be a strain trait.

We'll see.. The bud I got it from was just basically some decent kind bud.. nothing to ridiculously dank.. I can't wait to see what she produces :)

Very nice picture quality. Most people on here take shots with camera phones, so it's nice to see someone with good quality pics!
Do you have a grow journal?

it'll be hard to tell in a baggie since most pistils get darker when they dry. still pretty sweet though.
Yeah not sure what color these will turn when they die.. maybe instead of brown they'll turn purple or mauve or something

Great pictures, pink pistils are always a beautiful sight to see. In that you grew bagseed it is impossible to say with any certainty if it was due to normal genetics or if you ended up with a different phenotype but I have seen many plants with pink pistils over the years. I have only had them several times over the decades but between the few strains I have had and friends and what I have seen in forums like this it really is not all that rare.

The only strain I can think of off the top of my head that is known for its pink pistils is:
TH Seeds - Stinky Pinky

Location: indoor, outdoor;
Type: indica;
Flowering: ~60 days; No feminized seeds.
Known Phenotypes:

This is a beautiful, mostly Indica variety that has pink pistils highlighting some of the plant`s very distinctive budding patterns, It`s rounded main cola with a `crown` of buds and not much more below, make this a Great Sea of Green plant. This plant came to us as a cutting back in 1995. Even as a cutting this plant smells strong, so good ventilation is a must.

Type : Indica
Height : 120 - 140 cm
Yield : 350-400 p.s.m.
Flowering Time : 60 days

Strain Lineage / Genealogy / Family Tree

There are others but that is the only one I am positive about off the top of my head. I want to say that Pink Bazooka and Pink Plant also got their names for the same reason but I cannot swear to it.

If I could find the picture I could post one that would amaze some people. I did not grow the plant myself but it had blue pistils and no dye was used and no photoshopping was done to the picture, they were blue.

You do realize that conditions can alter such things, right? Have you ever noticed the difference in some strains when grown in very different climates? Color changes of different types can and will occur. Also I said for the strain it was common and that it was known for it, but I did not say they will be seen 100% of the time.

I have seen pink pistils in Stinky Pinky and other strains a good number of times over the decades so it is not as if they are amazingly rare. The first time I ever saw pink pistils was around 1973 or 1974 in a sativa my brother in law grew. Pink pistils were likely seen thousands of years ago by someone at some point in time so no one should be all that amazed to see them today.
