i have never wired up a ballast before. i bought a ballast kit which is compliant with my 250 watt MH.

i bought a mogul socket too which im gonna hang from the ceiling (somehow).

can someone reassure me that wiring a ballast isnt too difficult?

It is pretty simple. All the wires are marked, and there are diagrams available at HTG supply and google images.

I would take to a electrical shop a few miles away from your home and get a electrician to do it.Any misstakes could cost lives dude.It will take a electrician about 5 mins to wire a ballast for you.Or even better take it to a local building site and ask one of the sparkys there give them a few quid and off you go.But if all the instructions come along with this item then follow it and you will be fine. But leave the ballast running for a good time while you are in the house so if anything goes wrong you will be on hand to put it out.But near on all electrical items are set in the same way live nute earth.
