I contributed the information about how they work. You contributed a youtube video and you still couldn't understand what it was talking about. Why should we be supportive of your misinformation? Then you wanna disrespect our country. So fuck you hater you know we are the best at everything in the world and if a foreigner happens to be better than someone here they end up coming here because we don't have kings and queens and wizards and the such. The post i quoted has so much fail in it .
Bien the biggest dosent mean that you are the smartest ;)... Exactly like your big mouth.!! :)

For fucks sake people I'm beginning to think that you all are a bunch of fucking racists tyrants and morons. Almost willing to bet yall are a bunch of YouTube watching armchair growers. Just because you have had a bad experience or you prefer one system over the other don't come on here and tell people asking questions that one style system is no good.and as for as the anti American piece of shit I'd watch my fucking mouth because you wouldn't be that hard to find and show you just what an American is all about.

I am considering a new sealed room grow and I'm wondering what steps need to be taken to ensure that no air escapes around a window AC unit. I understand that the unit needs to have the option to close vents and recirculate only. I know I need to caulk all cracks surrounding the window unit installation. All that is pretty straight forward. What I'm wondering about is the interior seal of the AC. I have heard that this seal can break down over time and allow air (and odor) to escape. What is the best way to ensure an airtight seal on the interior of the AC unit? Also, I have heard about people using black spray paint to eliminate light leaks, but this doesn't make much sense to me, why would black paint on the interior of the AC keep light from escaping? I have seen people use light tight black ducting attached to the front of the AC to block the light leak and also direct the cool air where they want it. I'm pretty sure that is the route I will be taking, but I wouldn't mind hearing if anyone has any insight on the black spray paint bit. I feel pretty confident that I can seal the window AC and keep the smell contained, but I would like to hear any insight I can before attempting this. I cannot afford to have any air exchange to outside.
I have a small space of 4x8x8, have used 6k ($200) window banger for several runs, sealed Co2. (unfortunanely a Mini-split was not an option for my situation)
For me, running a scrubber maintains a virtually odor free room. So even if there is some leakage thru the AC, odor SHOULD be near nonexistent. At least that's been my experience. I have the wife go out an check on occasion. lol

I learned the hard way. Sealed grows must be vented properly. :peace:

For my unit, the white styrofoam inside the AC leaks light. Paint it black, and light is blocked.

Gonna start growing again after 6 years , 5x5 gorilla tent with 660 watt LED. Temps are cold rite now in Cali so I’ll find out soon what I’m gonna need to cool the room when I turn the lights on. I’m thinking converting the window ac or jus getting a dual hose portable ac or LG dual inverter portable ac. I’ll keep u posted.. here’s the pic of the dual inverter. Have no idea wats the difference between this and dual hose

Are you guys running A/C In just a tent? I have an uninsulated garage and im not sure which direction to go. I need to keep cost down but I don’t see how throwing a a/c unit in the tent will be financially viable. Wouldn’t a insulated grow space pay for itself after a few months vs running a A/C 24/7? I’m concerned about how A A/C would have to constantly kick on and off. Wouldn’t that create a weird environment for the plants? Every 10 minutes they would be experiencing a temperature swing from 70F to 85F.

Im trying to figure out if running in the summer is worth it and from the research I’ve done, a lung room is the solution.
