Wilted plants after transplant. Do these need water???

Hi, I recently transplanted my plants into bigger pots. They were wilting slightly before due to lack of water but I waited until I transplanted and gave them a good soaking. They have since wilted quite alot. It's been about 3 days since the transplant, and I when I check the soil it does seem very dry. Is this due to lack of water of something else?? Do I need to water them more now they are in larger pots? How quickly will they pick up? How will I know how much to give them? or when they've had enough??

They have continued to grow quite rapidly even though they are wilting.

Sorry to ask so many questions and I would appreciate all the help I can get.

They need water. Water until you see run off comming out of the holes at the bottom of your pot. Pick up your pot if it is light water them and watch for the runoff. After you saturate them pick up the pot and see how heavy it is. This is the best way to know when they are thirsty (oh and the wilting), should be every 3-5 days depending how warm your grow room is. Good luck

Thanks brasmith. Got a watering can about twice the volume of one of the pots I'm gonna use between all of them later. Is that gonna be enough?? Thinks about 10 Litres.

I have six going. I use a gallon jug and it feeds 3 of the plants, so 1/3 of a gallon goes to each plant, and there is runoff. They are in a gallon or so of soil each.

In short, water till there is runoff, oh and 10 litres, thats 2 litres of water per plant. How big are your pots?

ok that sounds good. A gallon is about 5 litres right? And my plants are in 1 gallon pots so I'm watering about the same as you. Had runoff also.

A friend mentioned in my journal that it could be down to humidity in there?? I reckon the air is pretty dry but I don't have a guage to check the humidity. He said they looked just like a previous plant of his which he lost due to a lack of moisture in the air. Does anyone know much more about this? Do my plants show any symptons of low humidity?? And would anyone know any cheap solutions to increase humidity?? perhaps spraying a water mist in there a couple times a day??

Cheers

Could I leave a bowl of water or summat in there in the hope some will evaporate off and moisten the air perhaps?
