I've got time......to listen to your opinion.

My opinion from growing for decades and 1000's of harvest, is that over time some characteristics of cannabis can be enhanced with a cure.

Itsme.
I would agree that some desirable terps could be enhanced but I'd also say that proper product often doesn't need enhancing.

Umm...yeah, seriously. Some folks like to harvest fully green plants, I'm not one of them.
I don't know as much as you do clearly but I always considered flushing to be more about getting those dissolved salts and any unwanted chemicals that your plant may have absorbed while growing.

Nutes are good for plants but not people.

It's always been my understanding that curing helped to break down chlorophyll cause I don't think flushing gets rid of much of it considering that's basically what the plant is made of.

Which reason? Flushing the the chlorophyll???
Tobacco is already dried in cured, the humidor just preserves that. As far as I know they don't flush tobacco plants in the field. If they grew it indoors in pots perhaps they would flush before harvest?

Yes, part of the flushing process is to remove excess nutrients held in the plant, mostly starving the plant for nitrogen which aids in the production of chlorophyll.

Again, my plants have usually dropped most of their fans, and are yellowing @ harvest.

i have a question-we have some good quality Bubba Kush but it is VERY harsh....is there anything I can do to it to make it smoother?
If you live near a head shop or natural herb store you could try mixing in a lil blue lotus.
It's like hamburger helper for mj.
Seemed to have a nice softening effect on harsh smoke I've tried it with in the past

I will agree that the cigar analogy might not fit the situation best it does fit. Good "real" cigars I've tried in the past were fresh almost damp feeling. Not even in the same universe as a dried out century Sam or store bought cigar.

Is it dry?

Try putting it in a bag with some fruit peelings or bread. Bread won't effect the taste.

If it's not cause of dryness then the blue lotus may be an option.

Ok, that's better. Your not flushing the chlorophyll.....your flushing nutrients that correlate to the production of chlorophyll. There's a difference. The chlorophyll is broken down because of lack of nutrients, you can't flush chlorophyl out of a plant. What color are your buds?

same for me hippy... its still perfect up to 6-9 months....then good up to the next harvest...
Its still best after its been in the jars about 5 to 6 weeks....smooth's things out completely..
lots of theory's on what best and why....
I have heard its
something to do with the removal of the... last of the oxygen in the jar..via photosynthesis
and the processes a dying plant goes thru...including feeding bacteria..

I guess these would be of great concern if you had to handle mass qty's in storage...
I figure.... we would agree that the most likely storage method would involve Lp's storing
it in the form of oil....with the alcohol removed....to reduce volume....so I kinda picture a
product in a metal can..... something like driveway sealant or roofing tar...

Ya I was keeping jarred weed for up to a year but didn't enjoy it as much at that point.
It may get somewhat smoother. But I find even my fresh buds are pretty smooth.
I laugh at the we can store millions comments by the LP's....stored schwagg is store schwagg.....I'll never buy any.
Boycott and help yourself and your pride. You know you hate being a spanky boy or girl folks. Fight back......refuse the forced schwagg. Your not a rabbit are ya ?
