Will I be approved?

Im going to make an appointment soon to see a physician specialized in medical marijuana to attempt to get a card. I have a bad back and the pain sometimes gets intolerable. Ive been to my doctor once about it and he perscribed me painkillers for it. I also have been to the ER twice after that because the pain got intolerable to the point where i couldnt move, and I also got perscribed a few different perscriptions there as well including muscle relaxers for muscle spasms and vicodin. The problem is that I dont have my actual medical records, all I have is the perscription bottles and some paperwork from when I went to the ER. Will that be good enough to get approved by the physician?

I feel for you. I had quit toking for about 3 years but got hit by a transport truck last february. I hurt my back also and was prescribed tramacett ( a pain killer)
Well they worked great at first but after a while my body just got accustomed to them and I was in serious pain so I started toking again. Hubby was not impressed to say the least but not only did it work great for my physical pain but also for my psycological pain.

I went to my Gp and asked him to sign my papers but he said that he rights had been revoked and that he couldn't so he referred me to a specialist.

I had my appointment last friday. The thing is the guy did not believe in the use of marijuana for anything what so ever so it was a complete waste of time BUT one of the things he said which is true is:

He did know know anything about me. I had phoned previosly about this and my Gp reassured me that everything would be ok, well it wasn't.

So yes, I would get as much paper work ready of your own that you can. Make it as simple as possible for them to go over your case. Do your research but don't throw it in their face either because after all, they all educated in their field and to many of them, this is just an insult.

Good luck:peace:

when you talk to your doctor, tell them that you dont want to use narcotic pain killers due to chemical dependecy, i'm sure ur taking vic's of some kind of morphine pain killer and when you dont have pills you will not only feel pain, but get some wicked herion withdrawls

I know. This truck driver had the nerve to pass 5 other cars, NOT including me, on a solid line, in the midst of a snow blizzard with partially visibility and then has the nerve to say it was my fault because I was making a left hand turn into a parking lot to walk my dogs.

I had to get interrogated by the cops but finally enough witnesses came forward that they didn't charge me BUT they were considering it.:o

I was livid.:cuss::cuss:

Anyway it turns out that he got charged and I was left alone. Buddy should be VERY HAPPY that I am NOT the sueing type.

That isn't the reason why I am seeking an mm card but why I began toking weed again. I benefit more from the weed with little side effects than taking an addictive drug that made me feel like crap and was stressing out my immune system.
thank god your still alive :-|

Wow. I can't believe you only inquired the other day and have it already. I have been trying for 5 months now and not gotten anywhere but I can be very persistent and am not giving up. I just need to find the right connections, get all my own records together and not rely on the doctors to tranfer the info back and forth because in my case, they didn't.
You did good tiny and I am so happy for you.:blsmoke::peace:
I hope more and more people get approved. Perhpas that will open the doors even more for others to follow suite.:peace:

you just got back from the doctor at five in the morning?
My appointment was at 6 in the evening but after I was approved I went next door from the physician and rigged up from the dispensery, yes it was that close (in the same building, I had to walk about 10 steps maybe). I got some stuff called Bubba Crack Kush, it was amazing. Had a smoke and a good night out with my friends and didnt get home till that late.

The whole thing was just weird though, I did not expect it to be like it was... As I was leaving with my recommendation papers the guy told me to feel free to go next door. I didn't know what he was talking about but I looked over and there was a door so I went in. It was like a mini dispensery, I couldn't believe it. They had two hot blonde chicks working it...one approved my papers, the other sold me the bud. And when I was leaving she said feel free to hang out and smoke lol, There was like 5 people there just sitting around smoking.
