I would try to follow it up the chain of command until you find someone that can remove her from the ban list.

Sorry if that is not much help, I dont even know the department you need to talk to and it is one huge fucking buracracy.

You may want to consider a lawyer if it is that important to you.

I cannot see a reason why she should be banned for just having papers.

that's what happened to a tee. Then they make her apply for a I-192 entry waiver, which is nothing more than a cash grab. They take your money and fade into oblivion.

we're going to get an attorney. You're right...everytime we've tried to speak to someone they just gave us the run-around trying to protect themselves. So at this time we have to obtain one.

A friend of mine bought a used Kenworth truck at an auction.. He trucks back and forth to the states. So at the border they find some seeds and a roach...Boom.
They seized his truck , banned his US entry rights & gave him a fine...Fuck he doesn't even SMOKE !!!!!!! Turns out the truck was seized in a drug raid...It cost him about $10,000 in lawyers fee to get his truck back. The American Gov. has become the assholes of the world...maybe 2nd to Burma....

When i was 18 i went with 2 friends down to the states we where at the montana crossing and we got serched i had just bought the car the day before and i had all the papers to show that well when they where done the 2 hour search they came into the border station and said i was under arrest for dangerous narcotics and a pipe. I asked them where they found it and they told me under the carpet under the pasengers seat it had 1/10 of a gram of ressin and thats was why i was charged with dangerous narcotics they handcuffed me put restraints around my waist to cuff my hands to and my ankles together then put me in the back of a police car my friends had to walk back to calgary where i we where living at the time. Once in the car the cop said to me go figure a hippy would be arrested i asked him why he thought i was a hippy he said because i have canaidian/dutch citizenship and then he went off on how i was a pot smoking law breaker from two countries who dont take life seriously. When i was brought to the jail i was serched and put in a cell with nothing but a toliet and a camera i did not get to make a call for 2 days i got one meal a day when i was able to finaly call home my mom sent me money to pay my bond now to get my money i had to get shakled back up waist and ankles wrists all of it then they brought me to this little gas station where i was able to get the money i had the same jack ass cop who told everyone who was in the gas staion to stay away scum was comming when it was all over i got in my car and started driving home when i got to the canadian border the guy asked me why i looked so scared i told him the story he looked me in the eyes and said "well sweety just take it easy on your drive home spark one up with the people you love and thank god your a canadian....... oh ya and welcome home" Its was that moment that i knew i was in the right country again and i have never been back to the us and even though i am able to get a pardon now its been over 5 years i dont want one i never want to set foot in the states again. so i sugest you sell your land buy something in canada and wake up everyday and thank god you live in the country where you are truly free to be who you want to be.

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. As an american I am truly embarrased when I hear things like this. They detain you all the while people intent on hurting the american public get a free pass. We can't live our lives like this. What happens when we have a family? I have to bring my kids across alone to visit my folks? What if something happens to my parents? She wont be able to provide support to me. I can't just shut off my entire life. I travel to the states, something happens to me...she can't even visit me. So it's something that has to be done. Canada is the plan. But we have to fix this somehow.

p.s. Your english is better than most people who've been speaking it thier whole lives.

I wish you the best of luck but i know its very hard to get answers my parents tried when i first got home they made about 100 calls and got no where. The funny thing is this all happened to me about 8 years ago so i can imagine its way worse now i feel for your wife and your family its just sad when will they relize there are people molesting children and beating women nevermind the rape and robery that goes on everyday the "war on drugs" needs to take a back seat to all the other problems they should be looking for i would rather a neighbour that is growing 1000 plants then a child molester or a rapist just like i would rather my child call me from a friends house saying they are high and need to come home then call me from the hospital after they got beatup robbed or worse. Things needs to change in America i know not everything is perfect in Canada but atleast we are on the right track. Thank you for your comment about my english i tend to not post because im afraid people will make fun of my spelling

Thank you for the kind wishes. We've made calls as well, and you're right they get you nowhere. It's all about protecting themselves, and not the people. You're welcome. Half the people on the internet can't spell anyway.

IF YOU really want to come back i sure there is a court that can grant her citizenship once your on us soil you have all the rights of Americans they have no proof that she actually does "smoke " cause they would just arrest everyone that came out of store this isn't RUSSIA

My husband told me about this thread when we were in Micronesia. I couldn't believe it. Now I'm reading it, and FUCK ME BLUE! I hope you can find an excellent attorney and have some recourse besides just gaining her ability to cross the border again. This deserves some retribution.
