I had some ssh one time that nearly all the trichs were amber some even turned black/amber half colored. Stuff got me tore up.

At what point during flowering do you actually see buds forming? I got hairs near where the stipules are. Think those are sex hairs to show its a female?

That's pretty cheap for a usb microscope...have to look into one of those when I'm closer to harvest.

Plants looking very frosty on the bubblegum.

I start seeing buds forming around day 20 some tad sooner, I mean tiny buds ya sooner but I am talking about something that resembles flowers. Yea hairs form first, if you are sure they are hairs its a female for sure. Those I see around 10-14 days on new plants from seed, clones might have em already.

I have used StinkBuds Aero system that worked well, but not so much for running different strains and staggering like I do now. I don't want my plants to be jepordized by some disease or something I do to kill them all, so I like the individuality of single DWC buckets. I do have a Hempy bucket going now with the same Dyna nute soup and it works wonderful in 100% perlite. Just water/feed every 2-3 days and it just grows, bit slower and smaller then DWC so I am not doing any more but damn it is SIMPLE! No PH/PPM after you mix it and feed it. I will put up some pics of my Permafrost in it now near harvest in couple weeks.

Here is some dry ice hash I got from my 75 micron bag (I like mine fine like my women and wine) so don't harp on me using such a high filter bag. I have tried all my bags and this is the one that I prefer for some of the best filtered dry ice kief you are going to try.

hs_01.jpghs_02.jpg

A nice pile of SLH and then I tare my little mason jar (137g) and weigh the results. 8.8g (more then a 1/4oz) of 75 micron fine ass filtered hash from my littelish SLH. Not bad, from this I can smoke it, make edibles (my preferred) and other things. Just get some bubble bags on ebay I got a set of 5 for like 30 bucks, they are knock offs but work AWESOME. Just another buy the hype crap you see.

Here is a nice size box that is on day 3 from my dry box now going in here for a nice sweat the middle out, like paper bags but for more bud. This is about 8" high so about 4" of bud in about 12" x 18" of solid nugs, man I love saying solid since they really do when you let them finish out.

SLH01.jpg

Here are some oh sexy nug shots that will be popping in jars in just a day or two!! Yummmy look at that amber tinge oh ripeness welcome home!

SLH02.jpgSLH02.jpg

Damn its hard though!! Wait, wait, done? no.. wait.. wait.. done? No... wait.. wait.. more.. wait.. done? almost.. wait.. done..? Just couple more days.. wait.. you get the idea. It is so f(!@)*&! hard I know, but the best growers or patients who know will demand wait I am saying. It is just my personal take on data I have witnessed, do with it you want as many do as another blow tard spouting off what my "buddy cooter" told me was incorrect so he has to be wrong. Welp.. ok no problem I like it because it just makes me know that another grower out there not producing top quality meds. /rant

oh here is my lil-hempy permafrost she lives up to the namesake.

just rocking this song the last few days it makes you really think about how we view others and the hardships everyone goes through some more then others but everyone is quick to judge. Sometimes family is all you have or even just helping another human being. Sad this MMJ has brought so many negatives in to such a peaceful culture. It has turned a great cause into a money, greedy, bullshit spreading, backstabbing industry trying to act like it's still a "cause for freedom". sorry man rocking some Sugar Black Rose with some coffee mind a racing and getting off on tangents .. here is the video..

I want to note that these plants are growing quicker and healthier then I have had in the pasts and I tried something new, I will explain.

I used to plant everything in 3.5 gallon buckets in flower but I noticed my plants that are typically about 3-4 feet in height only have root balls about 1/4 of the size needed. It worked and well, but I always wondered what if I did smaller buckets. This time I kept 4 plants in their 2 gallon buckets instead of transplanting. They will deplete the water in 2 days in the bucket if you can not replace on a daily basis, but this is almost like an ebb/dwc/aero something hybrid. Not only that but the air pump and bubbles is crazy in the middle of the root mass, so O2 is never an issue at any stage and if it is, then the plant will deplete fast enough to allow roots to breathe. Allowing for some faults if power or something happens. The plant starts out as dwc, as it drinks water it turns in to an aero with mist, then almost empty its an ebb allowing roots alot of oxygen and fresh nutes pretty much as it drinks. I will take a pic of the roots, they are crazy healthy. If they get too big I can always just move to 3.5 gallon.

Only issue if plants root ball is too big to move the lid over to add water, if so I need to add a small hole for water and readings. I am seeing potential issues and trying to apply some type of alternative path if need be. We will see. The plants are just growing super charged, it's insane from my straight dwc with ample water available (bigger bucket then needed).

Anyways I am just rambling... pics later when lights come on.

yah dude theirs some crazy variations of DWC ive done where its like a fusion of DWC and other methods, awesome results in veg it jus seemed like once flowering came around that i did get very high quality smoke. not quite as hard of nuggs as im used 2, but that could be my own fault i dunno.

Hey there Big Buddah, a while back you said you were gonna scale back your soup mixture. I was wondering what your running for ml's of each nutrient now?
Reading your initial mix i was thinkn it was a little high with protekt, but even you had noted that it might be high..

Yes most definitely, protekt was high I will give a complete mix now but I know protekt is at 5 ml per gallon now. I was getting a lot of silica deposits on lids around net pots. Nothing of danger just excess... Now seems to be minimal if any.

The others dropped too and burning tips are gone.

Here is the "soup" my complete recipe as of now, it always is being scrutinized and watch as yours should be as well. Especially if you run/try different strains like me looking for keepers.

Vegative (Seedlings/First week clone seed)
-----------------------------------------
Just trace amounts of the Vegative forumla or just RO water they really don't need anything yet.

Here is my chart for the rest. It is bit lower then their non-recirculating mixture which worked well, but I was getting burnt tips a bit, not a big deal but I didn't like it as I am anal about things.

dyna.jpg

I use 2 gallon buckets which effectively leaves me 1.5 gallons, many people use 5 gallon buckets and ratio out for 5 gallons. Reality your water line is lower then capacity and depending on net pot size could be lower yet. Measure how much water your using and ratio to that, it's not rocket science but it is like cooking you need to be close.

That's how anal I am, this is an excel spreadsheet that I can input strength, gallons and ml per gallon and the program will calculate all my mixtures per bucket size and give me total ml usage. Something simple I created to help me keep things organized.

I love having just a few bottles around then a cabinet full of mess that never worked right, now I have a few bottles I need and they work better then all the blown up hype over priced crap never did. I love seeing these guys in the hydro stores with their stories about issues and then precede to get talked into hundreds of dollars of "magic, voodoo, hyped" products to "cure" their problems, when in reality the problem is the end user not the products.

The "gravity" Humbolts own, is on trial I have used it like last few harvests, it does harden the buds up. Not sure I like em like stones though, they get like brick nuggets but my nugs are always hard. This takes em up a notch, not sure I really need it.

Do you know why buds become stringy and not dense? Or at least what the most common cause is?
Nice hash Buddha!!:eyesmoke:

Could be a lot of things, under lighting, not enough food, not the right ratio nutes etc.. most time people blame lighting. With my old 400hps I got hard dense buds all the time so you don't need much.

I am not sold "yet" on gravity as I did not need it in the first place but so many people praised it I bit. My Sugar Black Rose nugs that have been in cure for about 7 days now without burping, are so hard they feel like stones, no lie. Not sure what I think about that, they are beautiful nugs just rock, ROCK solid. They grind fine, and stink to high heaven when you crack them, and stink a bit when not so maybe they bit too dry but hygrometer states 60% RH after 24+ hours so that's my mark to lock it up and cure. I like mine a bit sticky and not turn to dust when you grind em.

I harvested the Bubblegum last night the colas are super sticky huge like my forarms its crazy, solid like oak too. I forgot to take pics but will take pics when done, but I did take a pic this morning of the roots of a 21 day veg and 70 day flower, almost 100 days old and they look like this!

root1.jpg

Just a tad yellow but plenty of white all over. I will use Aquashield till I stop growing or they stop making it (in which I would seriously think about another medium as this worked for me like no other product did), I do not work for them I pay my 35 dollars a gallon, which is worth 2x that to me from what it provides me peace of mind. This is exactly why I have complete confidence in my root zone with it, just 10ml gallon with some Sweet.

The water level was always topped back up to bottom of net pot, no 1-2" drop like others.. just a 1" cheap cylinder airstone and that's it. No secret sauce, or tea, no super fine misting stones, no drips, no hassle. The way I like it.

What are you referring to when you say "Sweet", Buddah? Sorry, newbie here.
