I use 6" square containers, feed every 2 waterings, my temps in the grow room are always cool. I have a 630 cfm fan extracting heat from the hood which is covered by a thick thermal heat shield that contains radiating heat. My tent is always in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees during the day and at night I leave my window open and Id imagine that the temps get to around 65. Every feeding I ph test the water that I give to them. You see how tiny that top is compared to my hand.(orange bud) They really stretch during flower and grow tiny buds.
Im using fox farm OF soil and my plants are veged to 18-24 inches. Grow tent humidity, not sure. Theres lots of ventilation and a fan blowing.

Acctually, I hate to say it, Iv tried 3 different organic fertilizers, earth juice, pureblend pro from botanicare and now the pura vida. Since switching to organic growing is when all my problems started.

if you dnt know temps and humidity than ther is your problem get a high low thermomiter\hygromiter for $9.00

if your having a problem and you dnt know the essential things how do can you diagnose a problem

use bigger pots or grow more smaller plants... either pack 64 of em in there and only veg til ther like 8-10 inches or use 12" pots and veg til 12-16"

dnt b;ame organics... sumone made a good analogy the other day..... a mechanic doesn't blame his tools!

I'm nowhere near experienced but I've always heard that the buds explode within the last few weeks.. so really you should try leaving them a bit longer, if it doesn't work then it's something else (obviously)

good luck. keep goin for it.

I acctually have one of those and like I said neither the temp or humidity has ever been an issue. Alot of the time I keep the tent flap halfway open for even more circulation and cooler temps. I keep the room pretty cold.

I don't know a lot but I did read where you need to keep the "dirt" around 76F. I've read if it is too cold the plant will lose it's ability to take up nutes.
Just a thought? I use 3 gal pots for flowering. Man, I don't see any frosty-ness on your buds. Wow. The minute my plants start to flower I get trichomes. WTF?

You didn't trim all leaves off did you? A common mistake... good luck, someone here will figure it out!

6 inch pots? Thats way too small, I'm past six inches before leaving veg, those plants must be rootbound as hell. Can you do us a favor and take a picture of the rootball without the pot around it? I'll be willing to bet roots have spun around the inside of the pot about ten times by now.

dude somethings wrong, im growing bagseed, i pulled 1.1 o per plant using 6 26w cfls...lol

i upgraded to the 150w hps and will get about 1.5 each this time in 6" rounds with MG 24" tall, and gets in the 50's lights off, 75-80 with light on.. you have a problem

I actually learned from my high times dvd SOG closet cultivation vol. 3 that an 18 inch plant put in to flowering in a 6" container should yeild an ounce. I ve harvested a few plants and can tell you when I dumped the containers that they were not root bound. Incedentally, nothing in that video is turning out how I expected. They make it look so easy.

Yea dude, 6 inch pots are WAY to small to use for floweing/harvest. Use at least 3 to 3.5 gal containers per plant. Have your light as close to the tops of the plants as you can w/o generating too much heat. Lghts all differ in addition to grow room and environment variables. The bigger pots alone should help big time.

OP - what kind of grow tent are you using? some of the earliest ones that have a white interior release toxic fumes when heated... the original hydrohuts had this problem, i think some others did also...

you should look into setting up a flood and drain system in there... you will spend less time watering and more time watching buds grow...

once you get it dialed in you will be able to pull an lb from that 1k...

Im doing everything by the book, believe me. However some of my plants will yellow up at week 5, thats a bit early and it also reduces yeild. The buds are always smaller on the sick ones than on the ones that didnt yellow. But you should have seen 2 of my plants, they were flowered at 12 or more inches and looked like pathetic twigs with sparse small buds on them. I did better with my first grow with a 400 HPS. Ill post some pics of thses pathetic plants Im growing and you'll see what I mean. I always harvest at 8 weeks even though some strains are done at 50-55 days.
this sounds like nut lock up to me and lookin at the picks how big do you think they will get in thoes tiny pots

and you have some major diff. going on like i said it might not be a lack of nuts but nute lock up.some people think more nuts will solve it less is more. again with the small pot your roots could be rotting.

No, some roots have looked like the plant didnt even use up the entire 6 inch pot. Others have a much more filled out root ball that maby some would consider potbound. You just have to water more often.

And as far as nute lock out, what nute defficency would cause your plants to have super low yeilds? my plants are about 2 feet when done stretching. The only defficiency I can see is some yellow leaves here and there but hell if you can tell me whats going on I'd love to hear it. I mean I should be getting at leas a half lb a month. I flower 6-8 plants at a time with a 1000 HPS. Harvest every 2 weeks.

And I'd like to say I do have some plants that are into week 3 that have some pretty greasy leaves. Unfortunately when my MH went out on the 19th I had to flower both of my mothers because I didnt have enough room to pack the rooting clones and the veging clones in the closet with 2 mothers. So now Im on the search for a high yeilding resin packed strain. I ordered some seed for a friend of a friend, LA confidential, chocolate chunk and big bud. Any one know anything about those strains? I get to keep all the free seeds as well. Right now I have some hog seedlings growing out. Ive already cloned 3 seperate plants to determine potency and sex. But I did get some pretty resinous clones off of the second white berry mother. So its obviously a case of bad genetics.

you need to veg for like 2-4 more weeks and then flower and flower longer then what your doing and does the roots have alot of space to grow?

Canopy Managment 101

I see many grow rooms in my travels and I also see lots of bad practices and nasty looking canopies. I thought I would try and shed some light on the problems I see popping up the most.

#1. Improper use of lights!

It is common for growers to want to group all there plants under the hoods but this can cause a few problems. Many Sativa varieties will fox tail and form dready buds if the light intensity is to high.

Your wasting space if your not covering 6x6 with a 1000 watt hood!

Indoor Theory

Lighting
Lets discuss a few ways to construct a indoor grow room. According to your local laws, each state has a different limit of plants that can be grown in a space. I find it best to always have less plants budding than allowed so we will be learning to keep our plants in the vegetive state longer than normal all the while training and shaping the plants for maximum production indoors. In my youth we would run as many as 40 plants under 1000 watts in a 6x6 area. Now we design bud rooms to run between 4-6 plants in the same area with the same wattage lights. The yield is very similar and the main difference is the amount of time the plant is grown under an 18/6 lighting schedule. The plants are topped and shaped to form a wide bush that will finish with multi-headed and at a height of around 5-6 feet. Think of each area covered by a 1000 watt light as a 6x6x6 Cube that you are going to fill with Cannabis. By using 3 separate areas designated as Cloning area, Vegetive area, and Budding area, you can continually harvest medicine every 60 days.

We are going to use some firm measurements in this teaching example but almost any configuration will work that allows the three areas to be constructed. Every light/bulb has a foot print. This means the area that can properly be covered for maximum production.
They are as follows
1000 Watt Hoods…………6x6
600 Watt Hoods………….5x5
400 Watt Hoods………….4x4
250 Watt Hoods………….3x3

The sun gives off almost 2/3rd more light than a 1000 HPS. Right? Well doesnt matter, the sun has way more lumens than a 1000 watt. I guess Im not understanding.
