why isnt there resin on my plants?

well my first year has been terrible almost a complete waste. 3 strains that I ordered from Dr.chronic have given me tiny yeilds and some of the worst weed ive smoked.(orange bud, purple #1 and white berry) Weed that dosent have any resin. Or visable resin anyway. You smoke it and its like you just dont get high. My SOG white berry I flower at 12-18 inches with a 1000 HPS and I only yeild an eighth per plant, if that. WTF? I use organic soil and organic nutes. My flowering romm is 4 ft x 4 ft and stays a nice 80 degrees at the canopy. I test every watering the PH.
Even worse, I cut down a retired whiteberry mother an orange bud mother and 4 little white berry plants, decided to turn them all into hash, filled a plastic grocery bag full of sugar leaf and buds and only got back 3 grams of bubble. Your supposed to get 1 gram mre or less for every 10 grams of trim. And I was using buds. Makes no sense and its costing me hella money to run this shit. I want to suceed in this though.

Buy Serious Seeds strains.

8th per plant under 1000 watter = impossible bud unless ur doing something seriously wrong, with no potency and small yields it sounds like your harvesting to early, plants need anywhere from at LEAST.....the very LEAST 8 weeks flower time and its usualy 2 or 3 more weeks after that even, also check ur nutrient list, plants need 16 vital nutes to grow, make sure you got em all covered show me some pics

Im doing everything by the book, believe me. However some of my plants will yellow up at week 5, thats a bit early and it also reduces yeild. The buds are always smaller on the sick ones than on the ones that didnt yellow. But you should have seen 2 of my plants, they were flowered at 12 or more inches and looked like pathetic twigs with sparse small buds on them. I did better with my first grow with a 400 HPS. Ill post some pics of thses pathetic plants Im growing and you'll see what I mean. I always harvest at 8 weeks even though some strains are done at 50-55 days.

u must be doing something wrong dude. genetics definately come into it. but even with a bag seed from some basic thai weed id expect more than that and some crysals aswell. ive just completed my first grow and was very pleased i got about 60 grams per plant but i researched tirelessly and downloaded numerous movies on how to grow. the main ones id recommend would be "jorge cervantes vol 1" and "mr greens i grow chronic". can i see some pics as im sure ill be able to help. i will be posting my grow journal soon. i did BB cheese 2 plants. look out for it.

i would say genetics is very important.

I got over an oz dry from a really crappy bagseed, rootbound, in dirt, running in the shadows of a hydro system under flourescents. You are doing something wrong.

Hope this gives you an idea. The first 4 pics are of a retired mother white berry and the colas never got any bigger than what you see. No resin either. The other 4 are plants that are on thier are 5-6 week flower mark and some of the lower leaves have died. The one plant thats been lollypopped is going to be ready in 3 weeks, LOL! And the last one are what my plants look like before they go into flower. This ones about 15 inches in a 6 inch square container. I'll see if I cant take some better pics. The camera I have sucks.
EDIT- one more thing, pic 3 was the main cola of that plant. As you can see its pretty small. #5 is a whiteberry and orange bud at the same age but different height. If you can see the next ones you can kind of get an idea how theres minimal resin on them.

these seed companies are putting out weak genetics and it takes some time to find a killer pheno. i have heard a lot of people complaining about the quality of orange bud but also i have heard good things too. i would say keep searching for a great strain and pheno and continue to clone it.

Have you considered external variables?

Are you supplying enough co2?

What about potential air pollution? New paint/caulk? Fumes from car exhuast? Solvents stored near op?

Are your rootzones too cold?

Maybe your missing some key nutrients or micro nutrient? You may consider trying a non-organic grow just to rule this out.

if it was just lacking trichome production, you could have tried using a UVB light. I hear people putting them on 6 hours out of the 12 increases trichome production dramatically (the plants will build trichomes to combat the uvb light which is harmful to the plant matter so the trichomes grow to block the light)

like i said before genetics do make a different but on the whole u can bye a lot of the same strain from different seed banks and get similar results from them all. thewre is nothing wrong with feminised as ive used these twice now. always get fems

thats a tiny pot in the last pic....how many gallons is your pots your using...that could cause some problems....and you should beable to get resin production from any strain LOL some noobs on here think you cant from bags seeds LOL ive grown bagseeds for the heck of it and it turned out to be some potent shit....ive never seen no plants with no resin production(in flowering)

ok it could be a few things going wrong here dude, 1st it looks as if ur lights are to far away from the tops, your plants are strtching but with a 1000 watt its hard to believe but u shouldnt really have it more than 3 feet away and closer if the heat is not to much for the plants. u can test this by putting ur hand there for a but and if it gets to hot so will the plants. 2nd your nutes dont look great, u say ur using organic nutes but what is the brand name, ive only used biobizz and have had great results but im sure most good brands are fine but dont be using cheap stuff that isnt formulated for cannabis. 3rd i think ur possibly flowering too early and harvesting too early aswell, to go to 8 weeks evrytime is not a good method ur plants buds could grow alot in these last few weeks, try leave them 10 11 weeks. even longer if ur stressing your plants as this stunts growth and production so instead of being 8 weeks they are more like 4. finally make sure u have the 3 main essentials, forget co2 and foliar spray make sure u have enough light of the right type.( 1000watt hps is ample) make sure u have enough water to keep them moist for a few days but not to much so your watering everyday as ul get root rot and the plants just wont grow. ( common mistake. make sure u have enough clean air or atleat not polluted air should also have atleast 1 fan and a extraction fan for air movement and renewal. lastly dont over feed this is the most common mistake made by noobs i also made this mistake at first. only fully feed wen ur flowering or late veg wen they are atleast 2 feet tall this will guarentee u dont over do em its better to under feed then over feed. dont disturb the cycle on a regular as this will also stress the plants. hope this helps sorry to write an essay but i like to help people if i can.

Move your light closer, Let them flower longer, get some bigger pot's for your lady's, Get some different nutes.. HTH!

I have a 2 part bloom and grow formula. Pura vida 6-3-4 and pura vida 2-6-6 bloom. My light has been raised to about 30 inches above the canopy because of big plants moved in there.

They'll probly give me about a quarter each. Maby a half O if they can double in size in the next 3 weeks. But the weed is going to be shit anyway.
