Why AzCS might not be all about compassion......

what do you have a special deal with AZCS or do you work for them or something? or are you just an idiot trolling?

you have really shitty connect if those are the prices you have been paying. we would classify you as an end consumer. and if those are the prices you were paying when it was illegal then now that it is legal it is easier to find and therefore cheaper and better quality. and speaking of quality, i have a patient which has bought from the AZCS many times to check out what they have and see what is going around and to be honest i can get better much fresher weed from other places. all the bud they got was old and crumbly and looked like some outdoor that another person i know has for 2000 an elbow. you know some of that nice norcal outdoor that some people save until dry times like now. and the edibles i have gotten from them were terrible. tried some fudge, rice crispy treats, hard candy and a few other goodies. the high all felt like it was made with schwag and there was bits of plant material in most of them which is disgusting and shows the quality they have to offer. so to be charging 400/ oz when they are getting lbs for 2000 is ridiculous. even street dealers dont try that bullshit. thats more than a 300% markup sorry but if they have that much overhead then their business plan is seriously flawed.

another note is the fact that since the laws passed there are all these new smokers. a lot of these people are older and would not know where to find good medicine or they have a very bad connect. these compassion clubs prey upon this naivety and desperation. in a sense these clubs dont have much competition when it comes to this demographic. we on RIU feel that it is our duty to our fellow patients to let them know there is an alternative and that what the compassion clubs are doing is not fair to them.
Well said!

I don't buy weed. I grow it. I know the market and how it works quite well, thanks. Yes, an end consumer is the one who will pay $400 an ounce and that's exactly what I assume AZCS is catering to. And to be honest, I really don't give a fuck. All I have been doing is pointing out that it's not outside the norm at all. You guys and your homies should open up a storefront, show some real compassion and dish out your $200 top shelf o's if that's what you are all about. Good luck.

More power to ya. I'll believe it when I see it, but have fun. I'll be busy smokin my own and still not giving a fuck what you sell it for.

i think you will be sad.... you will want to come to our little club, and eat our cookies and drink our punch. But you wont be able to. You can sit at the fence and look in only..... like poor orphans in India stare into a curry factory.
We will have an awesome time, and you will be crushed:(

I feel ashamed that I have to go there but really I am not paying $75 bucks just to walk into Al Sobol's place. Unfortunately I am a noob and that is why I am on RIU, to network. All these people who are saying "if you could do better, than do it" your gonna wind up with a foot in your mouth one day soon. Especially when that 25 mile rule gets repealed and especially with mofos like Philli, Beav, Irie, and Bird.

I love being Arizonan! Before we didn't have anything but good gun laws. Now we got the potential to beat Cali as the medical marijuana capital of the world. BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Tell you what, no need to be ashamed. feel free to just Pm me or send an email to contact@arizonacannabissociety with your name and we will revoke your membership for you. I would hate to be the cause of anyone's shame, or even participate in it for that matter. Truth be told, Philo was banned from our site for selling marijuana illegally, plain and simple and our job is to protect the membership as a whole, which includes YOU. Philo and a few others in here have openly stated that they are involved in the illegal distribution of marijuana in Arizona, and to me and everyone else that voted to make a legal option available in Arizona, that is a slap in the face. Now you have the spot in Tempe getting raided by the DEA and Craig's list is under attack as well but not us. We were not named in any lawsuit, we HAVE had numerous LEO's come into our buildings and have never had any problems for a reason.
Please find the post where you came to this conclusion about ANYONE illegally distributing mmj? As far as your brick and mortar goes; if you treat those whom have issues with you hostile, I wonder how much you are really taking advantage of patients. talking about revoking memberships seems like it's a tad bit irrational not to mention filled with emotion. You should know, sir that you cannot run a business on your feelings. If you really want to prove how compassionate you are; maybe you should approach your "client base" with a little more tact. If you read the post you quoted; you would have understood I was ACTUALLY complimenting you, in a way. You are compassionate enough to not charge $75 bucks to get in the door and get a "free" 1/8th. Secondly AG Horne listed John and Jane Doe and any future or unlisted enterprises as defendants in the suit. Though they might have not brought suit upon you specifically; they sure have brought it on all of us generally, especially all you club owners. Now that you have stepped into the realm of public opinion; you've got some choices. You can either blow everything that we say off or out of proportion, you could examine our opinions of you objectively and find a way to correct your business model, or you could continue to see this as some personal attack on you. Really the decision is on you, sir. Just know that you are not the first brick and mortar, you will not be the last but you have an opportunity to be the best if you just listen objectively.

you can expect a response to this thread shortly, I had one but the server timed out before I could post it all.

Philo, you wanted trouble, it just found you. I am going to do the same thing I did on my site, put up the numbers, the AZCS monthly numbers that will prove every word out of your mouth (and a few others here) is complete bullshit ;)

get ready RIU, your about to learn how to operate a non-profit in the MMJ business, your also about to learn how UN-lucrative it can really be if you act as a not-for-profit business, as AZCS does.

get ready Philo, I'm about to destroy and credit you may have earned on this site and show these people what a true piece of shit you are ;)

Roll one up RIU and get comfy, here comes a BIG dose of TRUTH.

Let's start of with the word Compassion. Everyone, I want you to meet 9 yr old "RJ".

RJ is AZ's youngest mmj patient and currently fighting terminal cancer.
http://www.azcsforums.com/forums/showthread.php?3198-9-yr-old-RCC&highlight=phoenix+tears

View attachment 1828543

AZCS sponsors RJ by providing him with FREE medication and associated services.

from our website:

"Welcome Alexarae!

I would like to personally welcome you to the forums.

#1- Your grandson will never go without medication, know that, its already been handled on our end with the help of another anonymous group.

#2- We have taken into consideration your grandsons special "diet" and have made arrangements to have entire meals prepared by a valley chef to ensure the food is of the highest quality possible, the freshest organic ingredients will be used, and the highest quality organic medication available in the US will be infused into every bite he takes

#3- we can custom tailor the meals to his body weight and tolerance levels as he mmj use progresses as well as assist you in tracking which medications he responds positively to.

#4- You will not have to pay anything for this. It has all been arranged courtesy of AZCS and the other group, a group of loving and caring people you will all soon come to know around town.

#5- We will be making you Phoenix Tears, please watch the video on the bottom of our home page on our main site for more info.

There is no need for a "donations jar" or penny jar, AZCS has always planned to assist cancer patients in need and have always allotted a portion of all donations to the Collective, Co-Op or any other facet of AZCS to the assistance these patients require. We feel privileged to be part of this child's alternative health program and we will do everything in our power to assist in anyway possible.

The thought was kind of you however SoL
This is what we do folks, this is what sets us apart from other Compassion Clubs or organizations.

Bill

Arizona Cannabis Society

AZCS currently produces "Phoenix Tears" for RJ as part of the following (also from our site)

"The AZCS infusion facility intends on producing "Phoenix Tears" at a commercial level and offering clinical studies specifically tailored around this medicine. We hope to offer this medication to 51 medical facilities located in the valley as part of the largest 3rd party clinical study regarding the effects of cannabis in treating cancer ever attempted. Stay tuned for more information regarding these programs from AZCS. "

AZCS also established the first and ONLY working relationship between pain management centers here in Arizona for mmj patients that would normally have their pain med contracts voided for their mmj use. Just call Preferred Pain of Arizona and ask them about it for yourself.

AZCS is the ONLY organization that currently PAYS a lobbyist in order to accelerate the addition of PTSD to the State of Arizona's "qualifying conditions list."

AZCS has sponsored two local motorcycle events for combat vet's and to date has donated over $3000 to the Wounded Warriors Fund.

So before ANY of you talk to me about my level of "compassion" why don't you tell us all what you have done to be "compassionate" so far in the state of Arizona?!
Honestly, it sounds like you've made some sound investments with your club. Would you get your lobbyist to lobby to have the 25 mile rule repealed or changed? I am sure if AZCS spearheaded a petition like that; I think that would be compassionate.

In fact over 80% of all the employees that work for the state drive a gov vehicle to and from work but NEVER leave their office once there!! Why the hell are we letting these assholes spend OUR money to drive back and forth to work when the saame amount could provide health care for thousands of AZ's kids. It's bullshit anyway you slice it.

i'm not sure what you're saying here: 80% of state employees drive gubment cars from work to home to work? o,r 80% of the people who drive gubment cars only drive from work to home to work?
