Why are seeds so small from seed banks?

This never fails, every time i order seeds from top seed banks the seeds are really small. It doesnt matter if its an auto, photo, indica, sativa, or hybrid. The seeds i even make from the small seeds are even normal size. Dont get me wrong i never had a problem with germination but its just odd.

Depends on the strain/seed bank. If you order a lot of the same strains on crosses, that could explain it. But for an idea.

These are Cali cons Tahoe og:

These are my tahoe(clone only) selfed. Should like the same right?

Here's them next to each other.

And here are some seeds from advanced female seeds and feminized seeds that look a bit healthier than cc releases.

Not all breeders are equal.

I think some breeder really wait till the seed are done, and others pull the plant as soon as they're mostly viable. I have a feeling it's a numbers crunch for more production...

Every seed I've ever "made", accidentally, has been beautiful and brown and nice stripes, but I also wait till buds are ripe to pull. If you pulled the pollinated plant earlier, those seeds wouldn't be as mature...

Ive only ordered seeds about five times, thanks for the replies. Guess i lost the lottery when it comes to normal sized seeds.

There is no normal size. Coloration/tiger striping, a bit. Shape and size is all over the place. All of my og seeds are tiny. My romulan seeds are huge though.
larry og on the left romulan on the right. Both mature and will pop. Ogs just tend to have tiny seeds.

That's what I'm saying. There's no average for size or shape of seeds. A lot of the dampest genetics, have tony seeds ime. The gsc crosses I've ran/am running also all have tiny seeds.

Size of the seed has very little to do with it

correctly made seeds would be correctly dessicated

U don't want big fat green seeds fer ya money?

I have Cali Conn GSC seeds. Mine are pretty big. Same cut?

I've noticed that the indicas are usually bigger than the sativa seeds. Just an observation.

The afghani I just popped was quite small but the blueberry seeds I had were ginormous. Plants didn't amount to shit with the exception of 2 good ones that were different phenos anyway.

I haven't bought enough different genetics to have a firm opinion on it though.

Biggest seeds I have seen that I purchased were the 2 packs of sour bubble I grabbed directly through bog. They aren't colossal or anything, just bigger than most. I have had some the dankest weed come from a tiny pretty much black seed, dont think size is an important factor here

I think the seeds get sifted and graded into sizes S,M,L batches........kind of like your buds........and what do most people do with their popcorn.......well i give mines away as samplers........but with seeds ....it's about $.........

Seeds from RIOT are huge....I tend to score the seam to help the pop!
I get some big and some small, breeder and strain dependent. I've had blue Cheese from Big Buddha and Barny's = they looked the same size wise.....I liked the Big Buddha version better.....REAL intense high! Very trippy! I just wish they would yield! Kinda like GSC.....not a good yielding strain BUT....
