Why are dj short genetics so expensive?

Just to throw in my Blueberry experience. I currently have a Blueberry sativa pheno. It's been with me 9 years now. I went thru 30 seeds many herm an issue s along the way. Even with my keeper. Took a year or more to get her all goid. No more issues super fast to root cut,and absolutely the most amazing terps profile. No yeild at all. But it is and has been the most intense, interesting, long lasting all over incredible high s I ve ever had. Not since I was I high school an had some thai from my buddies dad have I had such a high. Much harder to grow like jd said ,heirloom s of any plant species are , but the end product is always so superior to newer genetics. I can't say enough about my Blueberry sativa.

I heard that man. Shit, I would definitely hang onto that one as long as I could! Have you back crossed to try and preserve that pheno just incase God forbid something happened? ? Have you thought about breeding her to give you more yeild?

Yes an in still working on it. So far Blueberry sativa really shines through in crosses . So far Blueberry sativa x Louis Cookie an have small batch of seeds from hitting strong blueberry leaner male back to her Bx1.Also Blueberry sativa x Phoenix Fire testing now, an will continue to breed her with any an all desirable males which now possess 4 of.

Too simple OP. While everyone pre 2010 was sitting in their basements and dwellings hoping someone would legalize this, these guys were risking their lives and freedoms for this plant. So the industry rightfully placed them on a pedestal as they spearheaded it and they should be rewarded for their work. Are all of their strains the best? No absolutely not, but they took their time and energy to make this all happen so give them some praise and some money for their hard work they did.

I don't think they are expensive as long as you get what is advertised, if you order DJ Short blueberry and you don't find a pheno that has blueberry out of one pack then I would say fuckem not worth it. However if you found one that stank like the blueberry berry berry than it would be all worth it.
ONE in a pack as you say,I always thought if a strain was stabal 9 out of 10 seed at least should be the same.I guess that's why I never did call my sealf a breeder.

Dj has not retired. He's gearing up for his next breading endeavor, and it's gonna be a big one. OWG is the official name of our company. I am reticent to discuss my work here because I was asked not to out of respect for the 'paying contributors' of the site, of which I am not, and I would like to respect what has been asked of me. All's I can say in regard to information pertaining to my and Dj's work....get yerself plugged in! lol Thanks for asking.
JD I been following you secretly with OWG, I would love to talk to you I'm a fresh breeder in Oregon picking up a 70 year old's breeders work and with Snowhigh I'm helping preserving alot of his old stuff.

I recommend contacting the seedbanks you wish to purchase your gear form and make the acquaintance of their customer service representative. I'd ask questions such as what filial generation are the Dj Short seed you offer? I'd enquire about the mothers used to make them and if that company has any knowledge of those mothers and how they perform. I'd ask if they were familiar with how the stock in question performs, is it stable, what are it's attributes. I'd ask if they received them in original breeders packs or if breeder packs are available for purchase. I'd ask if they know Dj or myself or if they are associated with Old World Genetics or if they bought their stock from resellers. I'd strongly recommend getting to know the seedbanks in question you wish to frequent and their business practices before purchasing from them.

I grew 4 of his strains and they were all awesome, but he only accept cash now I believe so that is a no go for me.

btw beautiful job
Thank you Sii
I didn't realize it was cash only.

I have never had an issue sending $$ to Sannie and I feel like the 20% disc is an excellent value. Ive got a new batch of Sugar Punch and some MadBerry on the way.

I might just do that then, haven't seen any negative reviews about sending cash to him but I really need to pop some more beans before I even go back on the page. I can't even look at seedbank websites anymore its such an addiction that it hurts.

I wouldn't worry too much about sending cash to a reputable seed company they ain't gonna fuck you it's bad for business I can't really recall anything bad said about Sannies so they must be doing something right.

well , ive grown bag seeds from brick weed thats confirmed to be from mexico , and they grew into tall earthy smelling sativa giants that produced some strong ass bud. point? is that the strain is olny half the battle , if you just want good trees you really dont need to worry about strains, in my personal opinion the only people that need to buy seeds period are people who NEED a certian strain for medical reasons. because even brick seeds WILL produce nice plants IF you grow them properly , it will be just as strong as any gas that anyone in ohio is selling for that matter... the buds we harvested off the bag seed grows we did were most definitely giving the best dealers in my city a run for their money with their " nor cal connection gas " basically i see a bunch of people wasting money on seeds that are so overpriced the sellers should have their asses whooped.

PS: dont tell me u cant because u need a strain thats small due to space issues , because you can ALWAYS , height control in one way or another.

just sayin my opinion thooo....

You can grow any strain to look as good as it can, but some trains have a lower natural range of thc and other cannabinoids. So as good as you can grow some strains, they will never be as good or as strong or as tasty as others. Genetics is about 70-90% of the battle.

i completely respect your opinion , and chances are you doo know more than i doo ;) but the main thing with me is , i will settle for less until they decide to be reasonable with seed prices. as far as im concerned the profit they make off of seed sales should be illegal in and of itself. its okay to turn a profit , but when you have much more than you already need to be wealthy and you still keep your prices threw the fucking roof , you dont deserve it.
