that was.my point but if you go back to the last time I quoted you you stated t5s could outperform a 600 which is why I am confused.

Oh sorry if this was for me. It's whatever the cheapo brand mh from the local hydro store with a lumatek dimmable 400 watt digital ballast. Botanicare pure blend organics with sensitive calmag and blue dream and og but the plant pictured is one of my blue dreams that is now under an led the ti smartlamp probloom 600.

HPS folk dont seem to understand light efficiency. They're the guy that brings a bazooka to a knife fight. Bazookas arent always wanted or needed.

I use both led and HPS atm so I'm all for innovation but I'm still under the impression that if I want to pull buds like a 600 HPS does with leds, then I'm going to have to us at least 600 watts of led. Which doesn't seem more efficient to me.

I used to grow with a 400W HPS, and I'm pulling in same yields with 280W, so it is definitely more efficient.

I am interested in your hybrid system though, and I still have my old 400W HPS in the closet....hmmm, wheels are turning. Damn you getting me thinking.

Crazy growth rate. Whatever pheno I have vegged with fat leaves and looked heavier on the indicates side but ever since flower they narrowed down to What I expected the strain to.look like with the really thin bladed sativa leaves. Really long cola/bud development. Branches are covered in bud development, very Thai stick type structure.

an 8 bulb t5 with aquarium bulbs will outperform a 600 by yield and veg and out perform a 1000w at grams per watt. Its been proven on this forum by hundreds of people over the last few years. My best par t5 yield was 24 zips under 2 8 bulb t5's. I stopped doing t5's because aq bulbs don't last for shit and get very costly replacing them.

Fills out the spectrum plus you get penetration

which is kind of the goal. I usually end up with bigger plants, whether intentional or not.
