It was fun hard work. A great natural work out out. Throwing shovels of asphalt that weight around 30 lbs or more across the mat. Then there are the machines. We all played with tonka toys as a kid right? Well it is just on a bigger scale. PLus I got to work outside. I love being out doors. Yeah it stank, but it was good honest work. No paper pushing. You knew when you were done and had done a good job. Plus it was something i was good at. I dont have a degree just a GED. I have moved on to do different thing that illegals cant do, because of their illegal status, not because they are incapable. i was younger then. I am now almost 40 and cant handle that type of work anymore. SUCKS getting old. I had worked my way up to running my own crew after only 4 years, only to lose it to an illegal. He couldn't write english and barley spoke it. My super gave it to him because he could pay him less. The super had the balls to demote me, but still wanted me to handle all the paper work and deal with the other contractors. Gave the illeagal the company truck, and the other bennies. I couldn't handle the bs and quit. I was so pissed. The only reason was because he could pay him less than me. He didnt do as good of a job as me. He wasnt as dedicated as me and hadn't been with the company as long as me. If I lost the position because i sucked or couldnt do the job that would be one thing........

if they could just understand english AND NOT CROSS THE FUCKING LINE without takeing a test BAM solves the fucking problem
english is not the official language of america.

in fact, for your edification, america has NO official language.

you claim to be a proud american, how do you not know this?

just take a test?

why don't you go take a look at the requirements. it is nowhere near that easy. it takes years sometimes.

question for you: would you let your family starve if there was food on the other side of an arbitrary, man-made line?

try to answer that honestly.

just take a test...so naive. so uniquely american in your naivete and simplicity.

your such a fucking tard
"you're"

a real mexican is atzec or myan
that is like saying a real american is iriquois or sioux or some other native tribe.

'mexican', as we know it, is a mix of spaniard and native called 'mestizo'.

although many mexican citizens are anything but.

you seem to act a lot like you know what the fuck you are talking about, but damn near everything i have read from you is baseless, false, or backwards.

i will be revisiting the earlier parts of this thread as soon as i get to the end to point out all your shining moments of complete idiocy.

your dumbassness brings me quite an quivical amusement
and your 'dumbassness' brings me unequivocal amusement.

i am laughing at you right now, and my wife wants to know why. she is going to get a kick out of you. you are a character, my friend!

an quivical, hahaha. it takes a fair amount of intelligence to even decipher what you were trying to say there.

Numerous states have made English their official language. Every legal document in the country is in English. It might not yet be the official language, but it is the national language. In 2009 a bill was introduced to Congress that would make English the official language of the United States. I don't know where that stands now but it was unanimously agreed upon.

Isn't it about time we got around to adopting an offical language? why don't we get that legislator moving?

It is because of political correctness......we might offend someone or some group. If people learned history the would see why a lot if not all of the "great" societies fell. But our society as a whole is to lazy to learn. So we are doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past. It is funny how people will say you americans.....then call us racist for saying this or that group. Are all illegals here in the US Mexicans or hispanics....no but the majority are. Go a cross the pond and they have their own immigration problems too, just different nationalities. (sorry for the spelling just tired and getting ready to crash)

I don't think anyone blames the Mexicans for doing what they do, we just hate them for it.

I know some are stopped at the border and some are deported, but if we wanted it 100% enforced we could stop it almost entirely.
question: how did 40% or more of illegal immigrants enter out country?

fact: legally.

you are not speaking honestly, or, if you are, you are uninformed of reality.

by the way, i know you're all angry about the big bad government because they said you can't have the privilege to drive and all, but please be reminded that a minimum wage, 40 hour a week job with two weeks vacation every year will keep you above the poverty line.

you think the government owes you a fancy middle class living? you sound like an entitled little brat to me. go out there and earn it.

Hah, that was actually one of my more serious posts. To break it down just a little... I was agreeing with a majority of your post in the sense that if you could cross a man-made line and be able to finally feed your family, you would do it. I would do it. A majority of rational people would do it. This is why I don't think anyone blames the Mexicans for wanting to come to the greatest country on earth. However, we (as Americans) hate them for all of the reasons listed throughout this thread. Also keep in mind I'm speaking strictly about illegal immigrants from Mexico.

I agree but would add the ones from other places to the conversation as well not only Mexico

It's exponentially more difficult to immigrate here illegally from other foreign countries. Except Cuba, but I've always considered them Mexicans because I like to generalize.

i have read through this whole thread by now.

for what reasons do you HATE illegal immigrants from mexico?

for the record, i have heard many qualities listed about illegal immigrants from mexico, not to mention illegal immigrants NOT from mexico. among them were work ethic, dedication to family, and belief in the american dream.

but do tell, why do you HATE illegal immigrants, specifically those from mexico?

I only read page 1, 28, 29, and like 33+ of this thread, I just assumed that the reasons would be scattered throughout. To name a few: Taking $ directly out of the American economy via FedEx back to Mexico, taking jobs from Americans (especially in a recession where a lot of hungry Americans would be willing to lower their income requirement in exchange for steady work), lack of desire to assimilate into American culture, resources spent finding, deporting, or imprisoning them (costs a lot of $ to house inmates, but I'm unaware of our domestic policy on incarcerating illegals), etc.
