While I believe the birther argument is founded completely in racism, I think it's completely foolish to point your big red foam finger at a truther. I honestly believe that if you do think the 9/11 story is true you are living under an ignorant rock. Truthers should be respected for spreading the message to people about the lies that are spread around by our government.

Birthers exist all over the Republican party and are not isolated to Ron Paul support. Truthers have complete distrust for their government (understandable) and these beliefs are pushing the libertarian viewpoint into the mainstream. Ron Paul being a libertarian is bound to get support from people of the truther crowd. That being said, even Ron Paul has said that he would support independent investegations on 9/11 which is exactly what truthers are constantly asking for. If you are supporting somebody against this you have to question their motives, but hey, ignorance is bliss.

Nice observation and analysis with one key flaw
9/11 has already been investigated.

Your question suggests you have empirical proof both are wrong. If you did, you wouldn't be asking this partisan question. There are none so blind, as those who refuse to see. But then, brain washing does that. And TPTW have been perfecting mind control for decades.

DukeA: I hope you are not suggesting that a factual investigation was done. The 911 "investigation" ranks right up there with the JFK assassination- LIES< LIES AND MORE LIES. Look at body count of the Whistle Blowers. Do you think that is a coincidence? Our 'government' is far more ruthless, and despicable than you can imagine.

Because there is empirical proof.

I thought the birther thing had to do with the fact that his father was not from America.

Sure, some people were racist in their thought on it(because they are racist), but do you really think they(the racists) would have thought that he was not a citizen had Obamas parents both come from Mississippi, or Oregon, or Hawaii?

Do you think that racists would have not liked him no matter what?

Did the racists pull the birth certificate card on Jesse Jackson back in the day? I honestly don't remember.

I will say that when I heard his father was not an American, I did wonder about it.

Fuck a bunch of racists, but at least was a plausible reason to wonder if he was legal.

I'm sure some racists also agree that marijuana should be legal. Does that make everyone who thinks that a racist?

It was almost a legitamate question until it was answered 2 years ago. After that it was a ludicrous question perpetuated by the tin foil hat and white hood crowd
