Hermaphrodite .. a female plant that at some point also grows male sexual organs, creates pollen and pollinates your plants and you end up with seedy bud. Some of Green House Seeds strains are famous for that. Super Lemon Haze is one that is very hermie prone.
oh ok, do you have a different recommendation for a good first grow thats similar to a haze type high?

Do you mean different than the one I previously made?

Unless you want and hermies, and in some cases knockoffs too, forget about Green House Seeds.

If you want a good haze purchase Mr. Nice Seeds Neville's Haze or Super Silver Haze.
If you wanted more options you could try:

Reefermans Seeds - Haze Brothers Original Haze

Or Reefermans Seeds - Cherry Haze

Or Reefermans Seeds - Accidental Haze

Or Mr Nice Seedbank - Afghan Haze

Or Mr Nice Seedbank - Mango Haze

That should give you enough to be able to find one you would like.

Just because of the dislike for Arijan an GHS, I decided to try em lol.
I got a single seed of Lemon skunk an Bubba Kush in my line up.

I would also recomend getting female seeds an not messing with males unless your breeding em.

There are many companys that make Haze that flowers faster (8 weeks?), an they have New AutoFlowers Haze that new growers would love.

That was very daring on your part, a very brave thing to do, though I will admit that I have tried a handful of GHS strains over the years to see if they were a decent value or not. Not as in anything special or uber-good, but if what you got for the price was a fair or better value. A few have been, others were not.

I got a single seed of Lemon skunk an Bubba Kush in my line up.
I tried Lemon Skunk and I would say it is a decent value. It did not provide a shake and quake you to your boots high but it was easy to grow, it was not nute sensitive, I didn't have any hermie problems, the yield was respectable and the high was more than just average. The only thing I could say bad about it is I had three totally different phenotypes where three highly predominant sativa phenotypes jumped up over 6 times in height, close to 7 times to be more exact, during flower and that caused a bit of a problem.

I have not tried GHS Bubba Kush for several reasons. One, I am not an indica fan and second, genetically it is no where near what true Bubba Kush is supposed to be and the name was just taken from it being a Bubblegum Kush cross.

Arjan just took the Bubblegum and Kush names and combine them into one that is the same as a famous strain. It is an example of one of his somewhat less than reputable tricks he performs to sucker in the uninformed.

I would also recomend getting female seeds an not messing with males unless your breeding em.

A person greatly increases their odds of getting hermies when using feminized seeds than when they use regular seeds. If someone pops say 5 beans and they are regular beans they may have to separate two males and only be left with three females. If they pop 5 feminized seeds they may have to separate 2 hermies leaving them with only three females.

The reason I drew attention to how you said; "female seeds" and feminized seeds is because when feminized seeds were first released they were called; "female seeds," but it didn't take long before people and breeders realized that they were not true; "female seeds." It didn't take breeders long to know they had to drop the claim of their seeds being true; "female seeds" and they switched to calling them feminized seeds.

Below are a few random examples. All call them feminized seeds, not; "female seeds" and it the same goes for all those I did not list.

Check out what breeders call them.

ACE SEEDS FEMINIZED

BARNEYS FARM FEMINIZED SEEDS

CERES SEEDS FEMINIZED

DNA GENETICS SEEDS FEMINIZED

DOGGIES NUTS SEEDS FEMINIZED

GREENHOUSE SEEDS FEMINIZED

NEXT GENERATION FEMINIZED

NIRVANA SEEDS FEMINIZED

SAGARMATHA SEEDS FEMINIZED

SEEDSMAN SEEDS FEMINIZED

SENSI SEEDS FEMINIZED

TH SEEDS FEMINIZED

And the word/name/title Haze is used in strains that are no more true Haze strains than I am Jessie Jackson. It's sort of like Arjan calling his strain Bubba Kush when it is no closer to being a real or true Bubba Kush than I am to galactic central point.

There are no truth in advertising laws that cover cannabis strains, the genetics they are made up of and names they are given.

That's cool and the gang with me ... that is as long as if you are a guy you don't want to hop into a big tub with bubble bath in it and play spot the submarine with me.

I think Bricktop actualy liked the Lemon Skunk.
Im amazed.
lol
What I said was for the price and what you get in return it was not a bad value. It is not killer weed but it was easy to grow, was not finicky or nute sensitive, produced fairly well, even though it is a Green House Seeds strain I did not have the ever so common hermie issues that goes with so many of their strains, and the high was maybe a little above average as breeder genetics go. For someone with a lower budget I would say it would not be a bad option. It is one of what I like to call a 'value strain' where while you do not get the best you do get at least slightly more than your monies worth from it.

My only real complaint was I ended up with three phenotypes. Two shorter more indica plants, one that looked to be about 50/50 and two that grew like Jack's magic beans. They could have almost passed for being pure sativa plants. Both jumped up in flower over 6 times in height, in fact closer to 7 times in height. Oddly though as different as the plants grew and looked it all smoked almost exactly the same. The difference were strictly physical growth patterns.

But if someone is looking for a Haze, it's not really a Haze.

Another Good haze that i know BT will agree with is

Cantaloupe Haze from the DNA boys

Strain Lineage / Genealogy / Family Tree

I've never grown it but the genetics sound lip smacking good to me.

If they had not discontinued the line at Attitude I would add Afropips Seeds - Senegal Haze to the list.

On Afropips webpage it does show it, and the rest of their line, available elsewhere.

The larger pheno sounds really good to me. I like growing big plants and bending them around a bare hanging bulb. Is there a better sativa than lemon skunk for ths size you would recommend instead?

How about Mekong Haze?

http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Mekong_Haze/Delta_9_Labs/

Here's their description:

"The Mekong Haze is a pure landrace Sativa strain from Southeast Asia. Although it may take up to 18 weeks of flowering time to complete, it is truly a pure breeding strain. This variety is very uplifting and clear headed. The Sativa high and flavor is very apparent and motivating. It makes you want to do things under her influence. Using this variety for your own research and breeding purposes will prove to be worth its value. The Mekong Haze is ideal for making F1 hybrid crosses with other Delta-9 Labs varieties. Having great patience with this variety will certainly reward you when the nurturing is completed."

Whatever floats your boat. It might be decent.

I like how Reefermans Seeds - Phnom Penh / Cambodian says:

The PP is anything but average! Crossing to a Thai x Haze father tames the wild sativa just a little bit, with out losing the psychedelic stone and spicy incense , black tea flavors of the Cambodian jungle weed. Not for beginners.

And how Reefermans Seeds - Willie Nelson said:

2005 High Times Cannabis Cup Winner - Best Sativa

An F1 hybrid between Vietnamese Black and Highland Nepalese . Its Willie favorite smoke , he tried it once and bought the whole crop. What else do you need to know? How about a sweet and sour, lemongrassy flavor and a reasonable 10-12 week flowering time? Good mold resistance and a friendly, soaring high round out the package.

Everyone knows that Willie knows weed so that's not a bad recommendation.

Yeah you might re-think the whole haze idea but if your just looking for that connoisseur sativa product than welcome to the club! As far as my experience with GHS, its very limited. I too decided to pick up a female seed of their Kings Kush to test the product and I was happy wh the experience but on the other hand, it's simply 2 clone only strains bred together. It really doesn't say much when it comes to their strains or selection process. If your stuck on trying them and want haze I would choose one of aryan's hazes because that is their own creation I think. There are some impressie grows on youtube you could check out. Most of the other stuff in the lineup was originally bred by the owner of Mr Nice so if you want to try those that's where I would go for SSH and such, but I hear SSH is great and all but not very hazey either.

I have smoked some lemon haze and it was like lemon juice. My bro really liked it and was one of his favs but it came from a dispensary so who knows where it really came from? If you looking for a real haze variety I would stay away from Cannalope Haze. I bought the seeds many years ago when I actually wanted chocolope but they were sold out and I figured they would be just as good or better but not what I was expecting. For 95% sativa it sure looks a lot like an indica to me so if it really is sativa than it sure is a strange one. The plants were not bad or anything and had some good qualities but not the "haze" I had in mind.

Reeferman's got some colombian gold at the tude for less than 30$ and I'm growing it now. I even sold my bro on how beautiful they are when he saw them today. It' been 5 weeks I hope they stop growing I'm out of room, they've quadrupled in size since 12/12 and are vigorous so you can flower early and they grow lotss of branches. Can't say anything about the overall quality yet obviously but they are true sativas.

Maybe even better iis Tom hill's haze, there should be some purple phenotypes to find too if your really lucky. I would love to get my hands on some of those. :weed:

I guess it really depends on what your after though. There is a lot more sativa dominant hybrids than true sativas that will be easier to gro, yeild better and flower quicker, or there's those others we've mentioned if you want to really take that plunge.

i read the first post and that is all i'm reading.

super lemon haze is my favourite from greenhouse, easy to grow, looks amazing, smells amazing, taste amazing and while the high is very strong it isn't too heavy if harvested at 9 weeks

i can vouch for super lemon haze and super silver haze. Both are killer. I really like the super silver haze high, and taste. Super lemon haze has it all though, the looks, the smell, taste, and powerful yet not racy or sluggish high. You can tell they are b oth very high in thc.

Green Thai, oh how I do love my Thai stick!
I think it was once called Thai-tanic. Anyways its a very trippy sativa.
I think the beans are cheap too! The 14 week flowering turns most people off.
