my plants are about 5 days old... still little tiny seedlings with just round baby leaves. i'm growing in coco peat and vegging under 3 28w 6500k cfl's in a 1 square foot box. plants are about 4" from the lights.

one of the plants bent and fell over at a 90 degree angle. can it be saved?

and everywhere i looked the general concensus is that foxfarms recommended feeding schedule is the way to go. tonight i added 3/8 tsp bloom to 1L bottled water.

maybe i wanst as ready to start growing as i thought....

any help would be appreciated guys.

Don't worry if it aint dead yet it can be saved.

Firstly, stop feeding it. You dont need to give a seedling any food. Just good old plain water will do until it starts to develop, i would wait until its second set of real leaves have sprouted then you can start feeding, best to start at 1/4 recommended dose and work your way up of the next few of weeks.

A plant falling over is not the end of the world, it will often happen to seedlings this young, especially if they stretch, give the baby a little support, ie a match (without the phospherouse tip) so it doesn't drag in the dirt and move the lights as close as possible, if you have good ventilation you should be able to get CFL lights to nearly touch but try to get it within an inch, if you can hold your hand that close without it getting hot then you know your plants can take it.

Watch out for watering too often. Wait until the soil, or whatever grow medium your using, has nearly completly dried out before watering.

Hope this helps and good luck
