Then a casserole with spicy meatballs butternut potatoes and crispy taco things, then to finish Banana bread, chantilly cream, banana, ice cream and fresh banana...was decent

sounds pretty damned good. they've obviously got a decent chef in, if you can ad hoc from waste on a days notice you've got to be pretty on the ball.

You away from home or something? I'll go out for dinner if someone's paying, but pay myself, lol, think i had dim sum around november (then i just taught myself to make it instead :)). Just cannot see the point in going out and paying 5x the price for something i could cook better at home, and get to enjoy cooking/learning it in the process :)

Aye, I would rather watch that than the bake off to be honest. Looks like tasty grub for a 10er.

TV can be a bore off indeed. But if you are into cooking you certainly can pick up a lthing or two,.....just saying. I do tend to nip out for stinky room breaks though, especially when they are flowering things up about visits to here there and everyones Great Auntie to research their menus:)

In the new house we have no tv aerial downstairs so we actually sit and talk at the dinner table at meal times. it's actually quite a revelation.

birthday coming up soon, I'm thinking a pasta mangle.
