whats best way to germinate seeds?

Just popped my 3rd grow in ground bout a week ago.. Straight in the dirt and all have sprouted.. That's my 2 cents..

Viable and fresh is the key. Some insightful pothead already noted that you MAY want to baby some seeds that are old, or not preserved well.
But really even then... Low Nutrient Medium, Fresh Water, Heat, and patience! maybe talk nice to them if you get bored.

I go straight to the Potting Soil, 1/4" deep. I notice with the paper towel method, you get more male plants. I use no nutrients for 30 Days. Distilled water that is room temperature 72-74F. Keep it in the bedroom until I see the seeds coming out of the dirt. Place under CFL from there

I've been doing this for the last three years I live in the south eastern part of the United States and what I do is when I get my seeds I simply put them in cold water in a glass or whatever sanitary receptacle & you fill it up halfway and put the seeds in there and you'll probably notice that they will float for a little while but if you come back probably an hour or two later they will have obviously more water logged in them so they should if you give them a tap or flick with your index finger.... Do not get discouraged if the seeds do not crack within the first 2 to 3 days some seeds have taken as long seven for me for them to crack and show it's white tail, which should be pronounced long enough so that when you do put it in soil you put the tail part soil down so of course the root system you know forms at the bottom of the pot.... It sounds like a lot but it's mostly common sense so really when you get a seed get a glass water plug it in there come back for five days later (sometimes as long as a week depending on the strains genetics) ....if you got a nice long white tail put it in some soil face down lightly water under a nice cool white light and when you got a few pronounced sets of fan leaves move it over to your HID or whatever light system you have chosen ---

Cracking seeds is the easiest part of growing from start to finish. Seeds will crack in a puddle of piss for cryin out loud.
It's later on that real problems and real challenges present themselves.

Put 1 or 2 seeds in bottom of shot glass put moist cotton ball on top of seeds stays moist longer, low maint.
