Good ol' paper towel method -- never fails.
Uug.. It never worked as well as direct into all with good heat source. Just don't plant in an high nutrient mix, or if pH is of. I've started panting along side established juvenile sig planes so I know that's all is good they like the company it seems, an I know th e soul of conditioned well. I love the light warrior soul for too.. No companion needed.

Why is there so many ways to do such simple things. That confuse most new growers. I'm a new grower. No expert here. But I think I remember from the third grade how to germ a Lima bean seed. And that was to complicated. How to germ a seed---- step 1- PUT IT IN THE DIRT................. Step 2 - make it wet......... Step 3- go do some reading, watch a few videos, google some shit. See ya when ya get back.

there was a newbie here who used to germ in his penis hole with great success, he had nice plants
LMFAO ~ Did he just load a dozen beans up his peter and sow them while pissing out a six-pack?
Hey, any pics of that critical haze? We have a Critical Super Silver Haze from Delicious Seeds we received as a freebie with our last order, so I was wondering how yours is doing. Can you elaborate (maybe with some pics)?

So I'm sure this has been asked a bunch already. And I did search previous threads for answers but didn't find what I was lookin for. So I have a few seedlings in solo cups. Bout a week since they first popped. I'm not sure how much water to give them at this stage. I've read so much about people over watering that I feel like I'm under watering at this point. At this stage with such small seedlings am I still suppose to water till it drains from the bottom of the cup?? That seems like so much to me for such little guys. Any advice would help.
you were saying? better check yourself seeing a lot of mean shit from you.that guy that wants help with odor control for one.

I'm sure you've appreciated some of the help from more experienced growers about topics that they could have made fun of you for being so ignorant about -- if they wanted to be an a-hole. Sometimes it's just a little easier when folks are able to help walk you through.

:) pretty sure I've never been mean. Look here. I treat these forums like bullshitin it with some friends. You can't help the way someone reads a post. You don't pick up on the sarcasm or playfulnes. I don't apologize. I say what I say. Only time I'm on here is when medicated. Only time it's interesting to me. So I'm not sittin here tryin to offend. Some things I find dumb is all and I might comment. Shit, no post are more dumb then mine:) talk shit man. I can take it. So yeah I'll go check myself.

I'm sorry guys, I don't mean to be rude but why oh why are we complicating such a simple matter? When I started growing, we still used Ed Rosenthals and Jeorge Cervantes grow guides which cover all aspects of cultivation. Seems like some newbs are just plain lazy and instead of looking the shit UP on the INTERNET... they come here to create 1001 posts about the "intricate art" of germinating a freaking seed. My experience = START WITH FRESH, VIABLE SEEDS, and you will SUCCEED. It's really that simple. Peace and happy growing everyone -

Oh, do the more expensive seeds have an aversion to soil?

I second that, warm paper towel method has worked very well for us. The seeds are moist from all sides and germinate quickly, showing their taproot in a couple of days. Idk why so many newbs make this such a complicated matter. It's easy, if you start with fresh, viable seed, you will succeed.
Soil/media is moist from all sides; under a heat meat if necessary, seeds germinate quickly in that too and should quickly break through the soil with open cotyledons in a few days.

For noob seed crackers lol
Using soil can often result in seed being put 2 deep yeah the seed opens then rots and never hits the surface paper towel methed for noobs is the best way

Stuff it I've decided I'll say it as it is when u wanna be sarcastic and go on about using soil
Why not actually give advise proper advise like how deep to set the seeds what type of soil how wet to make the soil ect
Cause if a noob comes sees hey just put your 50 buck seeds in soil and water and they use something like miracle grow soil and burn there seedling to death ur a mod ppl that don't know better will believe what u say. I've grow seeds in soil it is easy if done correctly

No... what's really sad is how sensitive and easily offended folks get on the internet. That title under my name, is that like an emo-sensitivity multiplier or something?

So much for no response.

Now look, the reason I don't always delve into quite that much detail is because it gets old after you've posted such info 500 times and every new germ post is still about the paper towels. If a newb can't do the most rudimentary research into such particulars as how deep to plant a seed, or look on their seed pack or the breeders website: then God help them, they're beyond mine.

Not to mention, if anyone let alone a newb is spending anywhere near $50 on a seed or two, God help them, because they sure as hell aren't going to listen to me.

Funny how I didn't specify an exact soil or media, so of course if a newb stops their germination-research upon reading that post of mine, well I'll be damned.

BTW, people that don't know better will believe what anybody says. We call these people gullible, and again, God help them. For example: About a pound.
