WHAT TO DO WITH BLASTED BUD/TRIM?!

Hey everyone,
I was briefly browsing rollitup and could not find a thread on what to do with bud/trim that's been sprayed with butane. Maybe its because I suck at forum-browsing... but anyway! Here it is; a thread about what to do with the stuff and opinions around it...

Personally, I have a bunch saved up and am looking forward to trying out making what I can with it. (Trying to not let much go to waste!)

If you mean that you have done an extraction with butane did you not extract the good part allready?

I mean blasted bud. Like, anything thats been loaded into a extraction tube and butane was the solvent. BHO.

I dont like edibles bro. Really i dont smoke any solvent hash either, i actually hate it. Im a fresh frozen ice wax maker. Since you already have a use for your blasted bud/trim why ask what to do with it?

Look, I made this thread for people to know what to DO with blasted bud. I don't need opinionated people who don't even make BHO telling people to flush useabe material here. Since you're a ice wax maker, I'd suggest educating yourself a bit about butane extractions.
I'm here to figure out if my making edibles with my blasted bud is a good idea and/or if I can do something that is maybe more efficient or if I should be using it at all. You clearly suggests that I don't use it at all but you don't have any evidence to back that up... or do you?

Edibles I made from budder I made from it gets me and people high, yes.

Anyone who's made BHO before knows about yields and how it effects the quality of the BHO; If you try to yield the most you possibly can out of plant matter, you're going to carry lots of unwanted matter with it. When I make BHO, I don't stress about getting every last bit of THC because I'd rather cleaner,higher quality BHO that works better in my e-pens and not to mention tastes exceptional.

SO, with the remaining THC and whatnot, I wonder if it is contaminated by BHO impurities, and what is the best way of getting the rest of the value out of the plant matter in a safe way?

look bro im not trying to say not to make edibles or BHO. You asked what people do with left over buds/leaf after butane ran, i flush mine that was my answer to your question. I make BHO to bro i just dont smoke it often but i use to and it was great just im not into the solvent side. Im not trying to push my opinions what so ever. If you had a dab of BHO id hit it with you i wouldnt turn you down!

Jeez it even gets touchy when asked about what to do with the trash. The stuff I have left over goes into the bin as well. But if you want to keep using it... Yuck...then have at it. I personally think its pretty much done after a run. Also it smells god awful IMO. Also there is a concentrates thread that perhaps would be a better place to get ideals.

If your "blasted" (spent) bud is making edibles with any punch at all, you didn't finish extracting....

There should be almost no THC left after extraction.... use the spent stuff for compost if you want to make the most of it, otherwise, its just lawn trimmings at that point.

Make sure your running your extraction to the fullest tho for sure. I tend to double run mine.... batch one for me, batch two to share, lol. The higher quality first run is good for my g-pen, and the second batch works just find to dab it up.

I got a picture of the errl i make in my avatar lol, and i throw my ran buds in the trash bin man... I havent even ran trim in six months... ive got six pounds of blasted buds in my compost out back... unless you dont have much to work with, theres no point in reusing that shit for anything. Its nasty, even if it has 1-3% THC (Making your yield maybe 1.5% at best lol) it has zero terpens... The smell alone after it Re-Drys... its got that nasty freezer burnt smell like a pork chop you found that fell behind the drawer in the freezer... imo its not worth it man... but to each theyre own

Take some blasted bud, even open system not closed loop an look at it under a jewelers loop or 420scope... theres no heads left on the trichomes... maybe one head per gram lol... feels like a colossal waste of energy and time to me.

Get some dry ice and throw it in a bucket with your trim, then shake it through a medium micron bag onto a smooth topped table. The hash produced can be used as it is or added to butter.

I'd say this or just blast it again. Only way to tell if it's ready for the trash or not. When doing bho as far as I know people do like 3 runs and then trash it!

we do a hexane wash on our used.. and use it for edibles.. and topicals. my last run.. of already been blasted . ABB buds/trims.. 500 grams of material gave me 19 grams of potent oil.. that i use for topicals.. and for sleep meds.. for me and the gf.. just decarb.. and put into capsules.. way better then any Ambien or sleep med lol.

add equal parts of water.. and allow your mixture of bud butter and water simmer around 200-250 for 20-40 mins.. and then strain.. and put in the fridge.. the water and butter seperate.. and the butter will harden.. u take the budder out.. and you get rid of the water.. and your good to go..

remember decarbing at 250 degrees for over 30 minutes isnt ness.. look at the chart for decarbing temps vs times for best extraction.. works amazing..
