^^^Dissipates heat better too when you take that glass off. And I've never seen one of those spots that have all their screws. LOL Probably do it so the factory gets a bonus or something stoopid.

Update: here are some updated photos of my girls(hopefully). The Master Kush has just gone crazy, but the Cheese Bomb looks as though it has slowed right down. The new addition to the family is an AK-48. It is a week younger then the others but it is powering along.

I dont know when i should start nutes. Im debating whether just to wait until i change them to 12/12 and just add flowering nutes or try a weak mix of veg nutes. At the moment they dont look like they need anything but im not sure. Any suggestions?

You don't need to add nutes really until the cotyledons die off, which should be right about now for you. That Master Kush would probably appreciate a pinch of whatever you've got.

Is that an emergency blanket lining your walls? :p Nice touch. Whenever you get around to it, though, you might wanna swap that out for something more reflective. Hold a piece of it up to a light (doesn't need to be bright) and you'll probably see it through that foil. You might be losing some light to your walls.

Anyway, it's lookin' great, man, keep it up.

I had a look at some left over emergency blanket and your right. I can see through it when i hold it up to the light. The walls behind the film are white. Do you think i might just be better off pulling the film off and just having the white walls. I think at least that way i shouldn't lose as much light. What do you think?

Update: We are at day 21. Everything is going good so far. I stripped the film off the walls. I have added 1/2 strength nutes. I am going to switch to 12-12 in a couple of days just so i dont run out of room. The Master Kush is the best plant i have grown to date. I hope it smokes good, never had kush before, well not that i know of anyway.:eyesmoke:

Holy schmokes, that Master Kush looks BIG and HEALTHY. Looks awesome so far.
Yeah she is powering along. The same cant be said for the cheese bomb. Its a little bit sick at the moment. I think i may have burnt it with the nutes i gave it the other day. It was the same strength as i feed the Kush but it must have been too early for it. Ill post pics tomorrow and get every bodies advice as what to do.

As far as LEDs ive found the LED bulbs put out pretty good light.. they do not really penetrate through the leaves very well though. I use Ecosmart 13watt LED bulb... its very bright for being 13 watts.. you could get several of those.. but bulbs take up space..

maybe try the Illuminator or Jumbo Illuminator UFO from prosource.. illuminator will grow 2x2 space.. 90 watts. costs about 150 bucks. or go with the Jumbo Illuminator 180 watts... costs about 400 bucks. I think the CFL choice is your best bet. LED are not quite there yet. They have potential just way too friggin expensive at the moment for the beginning growers.

Flush that Cheese. Looks like a bit much of something, not sure what, but it definitely looks to be stunting your growth a bit. If you can, buy a gallon or so of distilled water from the super market, bring her to the bath tub, and just slowly let the soil drain that all away. She should hop back into stride within no time, nothing to be too worried about. Maybe take note on how much food each strain enjoys, as you said both solutions were exact same strength, but that Master Kush seemed to love it whereas the Cheese isn't doing as well. The Cheese just might be picky, you never know. GL.

Hey JimJim I'm gonna stick my nose in here and add that when it comes to growing cheese with LEDs, less always seems to be more. At least from what I've seen and experienced. I won't feed my Blue Cheese plant till it asks for it and that's important with an LED grow since you need to add your nutes at a much lower dosage, at least at first. Also I see your CB's pot and it's got a lot of perlite too. Maybe a bit too much? You may want to forgo the flush, since your plants roots are probably burnt and heavy amounts of water could really be a problem for them ATM. Maybe you should consider a transplant into some Happy Frog with less perlite mixed in and nothing but water till you see signs that the plant could use some nutes? I just look at the curl of those leaves and the nute burn and I keep thinking that water is not the answer but a whole new home would be better. Good Luck JJ!

LED is very different.
90 at the top off the tent equal means 84 at the canopy which is just about perfect.
Mine use about a cup of ph'd water every 48 hours.
really not much compared to the drenching the outside plants get.

The potting mix is mixed 3:1 (soil:perlite). I am going to get some Amgrow pot and peat mix this week. Ill mix a little bit of perlite through that and see how i go. Ive heard that a pot/peat mix is great but i have never used peat before. Does anyone know if i should look out for anything when using peat?

Just a quick update, the master is no more. I took her outside to get some sun when my dog ended up having a little dig and absolutely destroyed her. I took a cutting from the main stem, dipped her in some replicator gel and put her in rockwool in a little dome. I dont know if it will work but ill give it a go. I only ended up flushing Cheese and it looks like it has stopped the burn. The AK is still going good, fingers crossed everything goes alright from here.

Damn. Sounds like a dogged thing a dog would do. My neighbor had this tree that gave really beautiful purple/pink flowers in the spring. I loved the look of their tree. They gave me a little cutting of it. There was a new shoot coming out of the ground connected to one of the ginormous main roots, but this thing had its own tiny roots as well. Was weird, it was like a baby tree decided to go rogue, but it originally was just a new branch. Anyway, they dug it up for me and I had it in my backyard. Weeks later there are teeth marks and shit and there are no leaves, it's just a stick coming out of the pot. Saddest sight ever, lol. I coulda killed my dog, I was pretty angry, but she died not too long ago which sucks even more. I'd have found more saplings for her to chew on if it'd have kept her alive and happy. So, I guess what I'm saying is, dogs do crazy shit, but they're awesome and you miss them.

Anyway, I hope that Kush takes. Do you have any more seeds of that strain, or if the cutting dies is that it? GL

It looks as though things have gone from bad to worse in a way. My cheese bomb has grown a set of balls overnight. Outside he goes, im going to try and collect some pollen from him if i can. On my led update i purchased a 50w ufo from china. It cost $59 delivered so yes it is probably going to be cheap and nasty but if it does the job ill be happy. It has 25 x 3w leds.
The combination of leds is:-11 x 660nm Red
5 x 630nm Red
3 x 460nm Blue
2 x 430nm Blue
2 x 6500k White
1 x 380nm UV
1 x 730nm IR

I think it is a pretty well rounded spectrum. I'm am also going to run 2 red:blue 10w led flood lights. Also contemplating getting a couple of auto's to see how they go under leds.
