That's an 80's strain.
I know.....Because I smoked it in 1985.

You just smoked way too much man. The beauty of today's weed being so potent is you do not need to smoke nearly as much to get where you're trying to go. Specially if you're a lightweight which (no offense but) with 10 years off from toking you are. One or two hits from a bowl or joint would have been enough to get you stoned. It might have taken a little while to kick in but I'm willing to bet anything two hits would be enough for you until you've built a tolerance back up. I'm sure you've heard the term "creeper weed" before. That weed where you'd smoke a joint or three because nobody is feeling stoned then someone stands up and almost falls over cause it hit them all at once and suddenly everyone else falls on the floor cracking up stoned off their asses. One good bong rip was enough to get you totally fried even if it was half-ass grown brickweed.

BTW, all you had to do to bring yourself down was to eat. I've been toking for almost thirty years and I've met ONE person in all that time for whom eating something would not bring him down. He's a freak...says eating gets him higher, idk. Sugary foods seem to work best.

and you wonder why weed is illegal now, the only way it could become legal is if they take all those powerful 20-25% thc , out and regulate it and keep all strains under control which will never happen , soo just keep growing and.. only let servere patients can get the really strong stuff under. everyone else can get 4-7% thc thats it sorry for the grammer i feel like throwing up from sume shit i took wow i wont though

Im sorry but i know nothing about the old time highs and strains, but you dont want nothing like skunk or super skunk, or skunk red hair cas those are really strong strains.
i have noticed too but im so used to it that you can get baked 4 a 3-4 hits, and i like it:):):)

Yea Monkey Paw was a oldie a older friend of mine still aquires it he gave my wife and I several buds at our wedding.

i remember some Purple Afgan from 1982. A Manager I worked with we always played pacman (he knew the pattern so we were bigshit he even got me served beers) He got me anihillated on these purple buds, I was 17 a novice smoker but this stuff was hallucinogenic. Like you know theres 1 truck but it has 6 headlights.
And some golfball looking buds from Dogpatch, Arkansas (It's a real town) Break them apart and they were just full of resin. Awesome smoke. Guy had no clue what it was called just said his uncle grew it. That was ..umm 1984 ish .

haha nice read ma'man ... i remember when indica came to the area. 1980's... eastern usa...!!! Well depending on where your from ect...and weather its a sativa or indica. I myself think of sativa as more of head buzz and dont wreck u like most indica's. Im still newbie might i add,but try durban poison???

all you need is one fat bong load of today's dankest weed and you'll be good for many hours.

It was the same back then too it's just weed in the states for the most part was not tended to like it is today.

The other problem was by the time it was packaged for shipping and got to the customer it had degraded. Bricking weed degrades the THC...bud abuse I tell ya!

Now you get regs, which is no different from the brickweed of old but we also have so many more people growing killer nuggs that it's easier to find decent weed that has not lost half it's potency or more just in transit.

Yes the THC content of some strains is higher than what was available back then but %20 THC and higher was being smoked.

hey nizzan,

im kinda in the same boat except i was suckin milk in the 80's not herb smoke haha so your looking for tasty herb that you can smoke a full j of be nicely high n not feel like youve lost the ability to speak.... ive been lookin at various strains for the same reasons i quit smokin cos it consumed my life now im easing myself back in n smoking every now n again.

id recommend somethin like orange bud or one of the weaker purple strains. like nirvanas new purple power or their misty

Try some of the non hydro stuff. hydro is just really bad for you (arghh i dont mean to offend you hydro enthusiasts but bush weed is so much nicer, more giggily as well not so much of a sit there and do nothing for a few hours high).

I think I smoked some skunk back in the 80's the rest was probably made up names like "Jamaican Red Hair Sense" and not really strains. Now I see that there are several different kinds of skunk out there. Any suggestions on which seeds I should buy of which strain to get as close to the same weed as I used to have? Also, I live in the USA so any supplier that has the strain would need to be able to ship to the US. Thanks if anyone knows what I am looking for.

I cant recommend the dealer as Ive never used them, but thats the strain you want right there. Got a Bunch of seeds from a store in Edmonton, came home and grew me some, you get your "head in the clouds" high without the lethargic body stone and "brain confusion" no paranoia not horrible memories or thoughts drug up. Just a nice relaxing, mellow contemplative high, myself personally I always find the giggles is dependent on who I smoke with or what im reading or watching while high.

How's come the weed in the 80s seemed like the seedier the better it was? Also there was a lot of shit sprayed with PCP. Let's not forget the $40 lid. Those were the days!

well i think i got your solution... buy mids, a very low grade marijuana that is basically trash but all you do is buy it and it is guaranteed that it will have seeds in it... plant it and grow with care for 6 months then you dry the buds and u got what you have been missing for so long

Go about a month without smoking any weed then smoke some Skunk#1 or Neville's Haze you will get the high you used to like.
