What kind of deficiency is this ?

Hey guys,

Plant is c99...4 and 1/2 weeks into flowering...Supposed to go about 8 weeks....

Medium is Pro-mix HP, pelletized lime, worm castings, and perlite....

I've been feeding her a mix of Jack's 20-20-20 and 10-30-20 along with Floralicious Plus, and MaxiCrop Liquid Seaweed....

Seems like this is just happening to leaves around the bottom....I checked out the pot charts but really could not pinpoint the deficiency....

Here's a few pics of the damage and the plant. Thoughts ?

Cal-mag deficency...and it is normal for the leafs to yellow from the bottom up ..thats the plant pulling the nutes from them to boost flower production...always feed your veg nutes for the first 2-3 weeks of 12/12.there still only growing till the strech stops...change to bloom nutes then.hope this helps

LOL,,,not Ca/Mg def!!!!

Your nutrients are not balanced for Cannabis! You have used to much P to early in Bloom and had to much built up from veg to start from that nutrient..

P tox.

yellowing of the leaves starting at the bottom fan/stem leaves and moving up and out the branching is the sure sign of this.....

Water with straight pHed water for 5-7 days.
Switch to say Dyna-gro grow and run it out with that.
Hesi Bloom with no jacking the P up,, this nutrient would work also.

Pretty clear indication of potassium and zinc being locked out by excess P. I mean, you have the spotting of a K def, the yellowing and brown tips of a Zn def, etc. Kind of cool in a demonstrative sort of way. Hope she feels better. :peace:

Dumb question because I don't have a ph kit (I'll have to get one)...But what should the ph levels be ? And, should I be flushing the plant each day during those 5 to 7 days, or just watering ?

I recently picked up a bloom additive which is 0-14-15.....I'm assuming it would be a bad idea to use this now ?

I don't see a pH problem and your in soil. As long as you add a "zyme" to the feed mix,,,,,forget about the soil's pH, it's self adjusting.
You should though, get a pH tester, you can get a cheapy for like 40.00 bucks that you will use to pH all the ingoing, premixed solutions and the plain water to 6.5.

DO NOT FLUSH ! That's for toilets, not soil grows...So yeah, just the plain water.

Nope, no usey the high P bloom food or supplement.

Hey Doc...I've picked up a bottle of the Dyna-gro Grow...I took bad notes, but I have at least watered each day for 5 days, maybe 6 or 7 days....

Bottle says 1/2 tsp with each watering....More fan leaves are turning yellow....Should I just go with the recommended dosage ? Or, should I use more that the 1/2 tsp ?

thanks, SC

Feed one watering, then water only the next, feed, water ,feed, water and so on Ok?

Sure, go ahead and begin feeding, your 8 days into plain water.

That would really depend on just what your using to make the teas. They can quickly result in a "hot" situation again.
So then, What do you use to make the tea?

I haven't started making my own teas yet...only thinking about it...Sometimes I get teas from the local hydro stores..I actually don't know what's in them...They just tell me they are good, and won't burn my plants...

And I finally just fed the plant like a day ago...I had no teas...So I fed her the Dyna-gro along with some Liquid Seaweed and Floralicious Plus...She seemed to like it...Buds seem a lot more sugary.

Hmm store made teas should be ok,,,,,hard to say. How good are the makers of them? Trust and truth can be 2 very different things.
Ask them what's in it.....If it has more then Molasses, alfalfa meal and worm castings.....It will be more of a fert tea.
I make 5 gallon batch's of tea and use 1/2 cup per gallon of water for the actual concentrations put on my plants.....Some is sold to friends in our "collective" and some goes straight out to the organic veggies too.
I use this every other week on the medical plants and every week on the food stuffs.
My Trinidad scorpions, Ghosts and Tobasco peppers love it.

Liquid seaweed and the Flora are just about the same as the Flora has a kelp base.
Use say once a week and alternate the 2 in use......
The Dyna is really all you need......More is not always better..

Good luck

make sure you get rid of all that dead stuff on the bottom in my experiences that can only cause problems as dead plant material almost always attracts bugs

Don't fret bro...Sorry I didn't follow up...thought I did....

Hey....two of the posters were right...P toxicity which I believe locked out the K and Zinc....I watered straight water everyday for like 10 days then switched to Dyna-Gro Grow.....The plant responded well howevef I would say N were a bit low as there was a lot of yellowing of the leaves....there were a lot of brown and dead fan leaves by the end of the grow.....

I harvested the top half of the plant a few days ago, and I just took the rest of the plant out of the grow room literally a few hours ago....Buds look real nice....Covered in a lot of trichs....

Here's a link to the grow....thread has pics in it :peace:
