What would happen if I ran photos with more than twelve hours of light during flower??? Would the extra light time cause them to hermie??? Just curious and I don't think that I have ever seen a thread about this here...
How much more light? Enough and you'd re-veg, but there's some wiggle room past 12h, you just need to figure out where that line is for your plants. You may be able to get an hour or possibly a bit more extra in...

Yeah, for us the first day we hit 13.5hr or less is August 25th...and the frosts start happening by the end of September or first week in October. This is why lots of people do Autos outdoors around here. Flowering effectively in 4-6 weeks is pretty tough. ;)

Nitty, 13/11 is common for longer sativas to trim down some overall days. Not sure how much 1 extra hour of light a day shortens as it depends on what strain and it's projected finish.

Agreed
By far the best use (only use?) of autos is outdoor grows in northern climates

It's one of the reasons I grow indoors, along with:
-Way fewer insects/pests/disease issues.
-Way more even/controllable environment.
-Way more secure from theft/trouble.

Just saw someone I know who posted on FB (ugh) a picture of his 6x 10g bags from his summer grow...all neatly chopped at 1" above the soil. Whoever stole them did so about 6 weeks early... ;) He was outraged & angry that someone came into his unfenced backyard that was easily visible from the road and did such a 'bad karma' thing. LOL.

Could've been dumb ass kids, neighbors that don't approve or cops that just don't give a fk wether leagal or not. Sucks though. If it was me, I'd be as fast as possible and so clean cuts and same spot seems too organized for dumb ass kids.

If you can see it from the street, everyone driving by can too. If everyone within a block or two can smell it, they can also find it without a whole lot of effort too. Or they could just tell their friends that they saw it and word spreads, so It really could be anyone.

Either way there's good reasons to keep things quiet no matter if its legal in your area or not.

I pointed out as much to someone here on RIU and they totally didn't get it:

Also, note that ^ that grower is NY as was my acquaintance who had his plants stolen...it's technically not legal to grow in state yet, so well worth being quiet about it because while most cops probably don't care, if someone holds a grudge and wants to start shit, you're giving them a target.

I am in NY also, and with all the "bail reforms" here(they let a man out of jail after DV and he killed his GF/Wife in front of her kids. Drove her off the road and shot her point blank with a shotgun). Believe me, for the cops to keep quota and not get the force reduced, i bet there is a whole new level of shit my city of Buffalo here is going through, but this part is normal anywhwre.

The only other use i can think of would be to throw them in with your mum tent/room indoors i would say it is best to grow photo plants indoors i wouldnt waste space for flowering autos in your main garden indoors but if u had unused space in the mum room it cant hurt i agree autos belong outside otherwise and where i stay definitely our summers pretty short

Your opinion, but totally ass backwards. If you can grow outdoors, why would you grow an auto and NOT a photo???? Autos are for limited spaces like indoors.
