Ask jerry for this
14x Meanwell hlg320-1050
56x heatsinks for 65-75W ( pre drilled for vero 29C)

Order 56x vero 29C 3000k(30$ with holder +shipping) from anywhere you can from the US. Start building your own light.

if he is buying 56 cree from jerry those will be in the 32.00 range so not as expensive as some of you are making them out to be.he quoted me less than that for 100 cobs.

I don't know what you mean.
Let's see....

Electricity...

Amperage (written out with either 1. A or 2. AMP) and Miliamps(ma)- It it is the strength level of electricity flowing into/through a given electrical device. (1.4A or 1400ma is stronger than .75A or 750ma) 1A equals 1000ma.

As it pertains to a LED(Light Emitting Diode) such as a COB (Chip On Board) LED. As amperage increases the brightness of the diode increase. A decrease in amperage reduces the brightness of a diode.

PPFD is shorthand for Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density... PPFD is basically the density of photosynthetic photons being emited from the LED array over a square meter at a particular distance. If I remember correctly... some, if not all, PAR meters give a read out of the PPFD for a particular spot.

For the sake of information... If you are asked about your "Target ppfd." The lower ppfd numbers are seemingly better for the vegetative stage. The higher ppfd range are seemingly better for the flowering stage.

When you have the chance and while you are still learning about building your own LED array, watch the Growmau5 youtube videos several times over while taking notes.

Are you really sure you want to mess around with this if you don't even have a basic understanding of the subject? This shit can easily kill you. I sympathize with the need to double check the details, but if you know nothing about electricity maybe you should pay someone to who knows. I'm not trying to troll you, but I don't want to hear about your untimely demise. I can promise you that the second bar/light you build will be a lot easier than the first.

All that being said, it's just awesome lights. Totally worth the time and effort to understand. Save yourself stress and potential death and read more. I'm no expert so I'll leave it at that. But if you're gonna rock all those babies you should know them intimately if not carnally lol.

But compared to citizen at $22 or luminus at$19 if you're running them @1.4A or lower yes if your buying 100 they would knock a couple bucks off each

if you use citizen or luminus in a 36v yes there will be a savings.if you plan on using any of the 50v cobs then you must wire in parallel or you will end up spending your cob savings on drivers.

Yes there is always a trade off but also starting price @ $10 per cob cheaper
For the smaller growers there is not a lot of difference but with the larger growers that need 50-100 cobs thats a good bit of savings.

Thanks for replies guys much appreciated. I decided to go with 25 HLG-185H-C1400B.

I have watched Growmau5 videos several times through and read Supra's posts, both of whom inspired me to buid some lights, I just didn't hae the cash. I was just getting a bit flustered over the drivers as it's a bit financial commitment.

I don't suppose there is still a discount code for Kingbrite?
