Hate to say it but,,im originally from liverpool UK,but been living away a long time.I remember in my youth,if you acted like an idiot, were racist,or suspicion of inter-breeding,you would be called a "your a fuckin texan lad".Sorry.dont shoot the messenger!!Still used in some parts ive just been told.
I get worse coming from Liverpool ,the UK think people from Liverpool are thieves, lazy, drug dealers, uneducated fools.People recognise my accent, and if there from my own country they joke about me stealing there baggage or something annoying like that.
I just laugh,,and sell their phone i pick pocketed!
Ha you think I won't shoot the messenger? May I remind you I come from texas? Jk

According to a survey by The Daily Beast, Texas ranked 33rd in firearms per capita.
On the other hand, Alaska was ranked 6th.
You can rest on the laurels of being the 2nd largest state in the union though. J/K

But....how big is your population in comparison to Texas?
Well, I don't have to worry about crowds when I go hunting or fishing if that's the question.
"The Lone Star State is almost exclusively privately owned, with just 5 percent of Texas being public property."
"Land in private ownership (other than Native land) comprises less than one percent of the total land in
Alaska"
Hence a favorite saying among woodsmen here, "Start walking in in a straight line in most any direction & odds are very good that's the last time you'll see people"
Crowded land is not what its cracked up to be - I prefer solitude in nature as opposed to a packed mall or city park.
And BTW, we have a CCW law on the books here, but its a formality - I can and do legally carry concealed daily sans permit.
Texas?

The first thing that comes to my mind when i think of Liverpool is The Beatles. In a few years my wife and I want to spend a month over there and start our trip in Amsterdam and travel from there. Liverpool is one of the stops we want to make.

I've heard Liverpool is a blue collar kind of town, factories and mills and such. Hard working and hard drinking people. Am I correct?

Yeah,i think many people rememeber Liverpool for the Beatles, music, football (soccer) dock workers,(Liverpool was the biggest port in the WORLD)producing more boats than any other port, and docks for boats coming from the middle east and everywhere from 1770s.When you go away please take a visit to Liverpool, its not like any other British city, your welcomed, your part of the family, and if you dont like it,,,piss off..joke!!Its a great safe city,Scousers love humour, love fun, love Footy, and dont care what the rest of UK does. Its half England half Ireland. All Red.YNWA.Cheers Kev.(great way to get to Amsterdam from Liverpool too!!

Hi Wolf,
thanks for asking/answering.Liverpool is a very working class (blue collar) with new aspects too,but Liverpool was built and remains a very Socialist/Something for everyone mentality.Liverpool suffered from bad bombing in the 2nd WW because we had the biggest boat producing docks in the world. We then had bad times when we had a prime minister in the 70s n 80s who closed down British industry and services and privatise them,(take them from being state owned(by the people) to selling to Wealthy people for profit. We privatised the rail, its know fucked, british coal gone, british steel gone, car manufactures gone.Liverpool suffered very bad from privatisation, and made the City stick together like no other British city. And still does.Hard working, hard drinking, hard toking, big laughing, big soccer loving town.More history in Liverpool than most places in Europe,,its just kept a bit quiet because it doesnt quite do what the rest of the country does.Your correct Wolf. When your from Liverpool,English people generally 7/10 think you are aggresive ,or drug dependent, thief, gangboy,or just a bit dodgy..if i gave you a bud for every time an Englishman said to me "oh good people Liverpool people (scousers),hard but fair) then walk off muttering under there breath "fucking thieving bunch a cunts them Liverpool lot" you would have 475Kilos of Smoke!!

You visited Holland before?Amsterdams great, but a little place called Utrecht, one hour by train is like a smaller Amsterdam but more clean and just a bit nicer.Great smoke shops and supplies, brilliant food, little cheaper than Amsterdam maybe for accomodation.Maybe have a look on internet,i mention Utrecht to many people and if they go they all love it,very beautifull town.Great Morrocan hash bars in Utrecht,if you require a little more than 10 or 20 gms i can give advice, and theres great chill style coffee shops. There not as obvious as Amsterdam. But,,Amsterdam i love you too!
