15A breaker 1800watts at the wall and 20A breaker is 2400 watts

So depending on ur breaker u can run a lot on one plug...

So alesh, 2 of the hlg185h-c1700's for 4 cxb3590 36v is ok to combine to one plug? Total of 8 COBs. Then another light made exactly the same for another plug.

Oh I see... well I have always only made sure not to exceed the resistive load and its never been an issue for me... sorry for misleading people
One thing is cover-their-ass manual the other thing is real life. But it's good to know. TBH I don't follow these neither and never had problems myself.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but I have an easy question that could be helpful. If a guy was to use an Meanwell APV 12-12 to run 4 CPU fans or even 4 mono stars.... can you WAGO connect that driver to lets say the power cord of a 185-1400 without blowing it up? I was wondering the same thing about a small bucking driver that could run monos? I see alot of people use old cell phone chargers, but I was wondering if this was another option to power fans or monos. Thanks

I have the same question. If I wanted to put 2 fans on each heatsink, I could drastically reduce the size of my light and make it more compact. How do you work that out to when you plug in the light, the fans come on too, dimming in power as you dim the light with the "A" model, without having to run 12v cell chargers to them using seperate plugs.

So I figure it'd be smarter (as long I'm correct) to do 3 fixtures 4.86" x 36" with (5)cxb3590 using a 1400 meanwell B. The output is 179 and with 5 cobs at 36 that's 180. I've heard running close like that is the most efficient way right?

Also, on the top in the middle of the fins, a 120mm cpu fan. I plan on putting really thin sheet metal to the left and right of the fan all the way to the end of each side. Basically 2 15 1/2" x 4.85 pieces to enclose the fins so the air from the fan blows right through the "channels" cooling it pretty well I think. Driver I'd just mount near the fan on top of the sheet metal.

Thas what I meant sorry. I should have stated it was the new 240 that has the 179 output. So is that the most efficient and best way to run them at max capacity basically. 36x5=180.

One more thing- I plan on contacting the INFAMOUS Jerry at king brite for my cobs, lenses and holders.

I think you mean famous, not infamous. Infamous means having an extremely bad reputation. Why would you want to buy from someone with a bad reputation?

In fact, in my dealings with him, Jerry has been a very polite and reliable vendor giving great customer service and providing a good product at a relatively low price.

I can't even find hlg240h-1400b on meanwellusa.com also I can't figure out how you even purchase anything from the site.

But I just got a quote off Alibaba for the same cxb3590s for $6 les than Jerry offered me so I don't know if I'll be dealing with him. Cutter is even cheaper than jerry.
