I really need to know just HOW huge actually. Hopefully I'll get aN answer sooner than later on the diameter from end to end of THAT metal lens holder in inches. I'm guessing around 140mm if the lens is 100 to begin with. So around 5-1/2"?

I have no hands on with the lenses, sorry. But from what I've seen they are huge and heavy, via Growmou5e... :)

Bonjour
I have 4 cxb 3590 on an hlg-185-1400b...1 on 5 was for the plant...I meant there was 4 other plants like the one you saw...!
But I will reorder at the end of the month...2 more cxb 200w pannel...and more to come plus a vegg one!
And I will go with kb...cutter do not have some in stock nor drivers so it will be easier to buy everything at the same place...plus his kb reflector 90º at 0.80$ plus the adapter 1.50$ I guess...it will be nice!

Jerry quoted me $57. Mark from cutter is $45 WITH a 9% discount code. Significantly less. So I don't know if it's better or not with shipping.

I would order 3 of them (one for each driver) and they are cheap. There are three prongs/points to connect wires. There will be a two wire lead on the hlg 185 1400B (white and blue) for dimming. White to the center prong, blue to the left prong if your looking at the potentiometer with the connecters/prongs down or facing you.

Will these potentiometers work out alright?

So GoGreen leds claims they're 4cxa3070's 3000K is "Full Spectrum". When I build this 3 fixture light of 4 cobs each totalling 12, what do you guys think would be the BEST mix of CCT for an all around use for veg and flower light? I'm thinking 1 of each, 3000,3500,4000,&5000. On each one.
And each one I'd put in different orders just so when I finally make all 3 and l rail them together, there's a nice mix of colors.
So like:
30,35,40,50
50,30,35,40
35,40,50,30

Those pots look good and I would stay with one proven Kelvin temps for the first light. 3500k or 3000k are both proven flowering temps. I think all white cobs would be referred to as "full spectrum" because they all are but in different ratios...

It's actually "relatively" simple with the drivers.

Look up the specs of the COBs, say, the CXB3070 or CXB3590. The CXB3070 in general are run under-driven at 50W.
So if you have a fixture with 4 lights you want to run a 50W, you need a 200W driver.
(In this case for 50W per COB you run them 36Vx1400mAH), so the driver must be 1400mAh and 144V (36V x4), assuming you have the 36V LEDs. (Watts = V*Amps)

CXB 3590 you can also run at 1400mAh but personally I think it makes more sense to run them at 1600-1750mAh, is 36Vx1750mAh == 63W for each 3590. Fixture with 4x 63 = 252W, in this case you'd want a 250W driver that can provide 1750Mah.

* This means also if you want to run COBs at 50W (or 60ish for the CXB3590), usually ONE driver can be good up-to 4 COB, more COBs = more drivers. Eg. fixture with 8 COBs 2 drivers.

TLDR: Check COB specs, think at what W you want to run each COB and what W makes sense, this will tell you what type of driver(s) you will need.
So you mean just run 1750ma on the hlg-240? It's has 143v output just like the 185 1400. That gives me 63W instead of 50?

So I just ordered my cobs, holders, and lenses from Jerry. So excited!!! :D

I changed my design to 8 CXB3590's :
6@3500k &
2@4000k
I'm going to do 2-36"/5.886" HS with 4 on each using 2- HLG-240h-c1750b that I've ordered from sraightroad. They're on back order but should be here by the middle of next month.
I also bought 2 fans on an apv12-12 that I'm gonna power through the wall cord to its a/c leads. Can't wait to get this thing goin!
