what do good, healthy seeds look like? what do bad, unhealthy seeds look like?

my buddy gave me about 20 bag seeds. they are light olive/ tan/ grey-ish green.

clearly im a noob but the reason i ask is because I tried to germinate three of them as a test run on sunday using the paper towel method.

folded paper towel on a paper plate, pour on a little distilled water, put three seeds on wet towel, put another folded paper towel on top of seeds, poured on a tiny bit more distilled water, covered with another plate, then put them my grow closet. its dark, dry, and ranges from 75-85 degrees always.

so its been since sunday and still no change whatsoever. i just redid it one more time with three different seeds but im guessing the seeds are shit and thats why im sitting here typing this. any help would be much appreciated

no one knows what healthy seeds look like vs. unhealthy seeds?

when i have seeds i usually just pinch them to see if they break under my fingers or not
the ones that dont i put them in a paper towel to germinate then grow accordingly

Small, white seeds (like the ones White Label Seedbank sent me) are shitty and immature. Good seeds are of varying sizes, but are always a nice dark brown, or sometimes striped.

Oddly enough, I germinate mids seeds with 100% success rate, but fucking White Label seeds that I paid for cant get better than 30% ratio. Go figure.

yea mine are deff on the whiter side. light light olive green. thanks for the info

how long have you been smokin? dark is good black is dead, green is immature prob from poop anyway.

If they are green or white dont bother. Light tan to dard brown is good with or without spots, speckles or stirpes and like smitch said if you sqeeze them and they crack trash them!

firm heavy dark pinch lightly/firm between pointer and thumb if it cracks its crap
