Simple... Soil needs more beauty bark and random sticks and shit mixed in.

More light and some nutrients for the plant to utilize would help too.

At 3 weeks that plant should be much bigger.
awesome I got a reply and I made my account like 20 mins ago
Can you tell me what is causing the brown
Btw I'm using 23 watt cfls cool daylight or cool white and I have warm white ready for flower

i thought that big sticks and shit might not be great for root development

Well I assume it's the fact the plant is starving to death... Seed embryos have about a 2 week food supply. Your soil looks less than nutritious... It looks like your plant spent all it had growing that stretched stem looking for light that just isn't there.

I have been using this seaweed stuff
How long and how much of that have you been feeding it. Can you take a pic of the back so we can see what's in it. And Definately needs better soil, I don't know what that is but really looks like crap.

Probably nute burn you shouldn't be feeding a seedling feed the soil let the soil feed the seedling get some high quality soil and try again that's my opinion

I dipped my finger into the fine powder and retired it into 600ml of water I sprayed everything with this once a week and I started using this after it was stunted a bit by over watering so I water twice a week now or if it is dry and every second water is a bit of plane tap water then a few sprays of that seaweed stuff

I put more light on her this morning 3X23watt cool daylight and a 23watt warm white hope to see some good changes tomorrow. I also put a seed into germination and it's just started to show a root so I'll start another later or in the morning

I'll level with you here. That plant isn't worth saving in it's current form. Best bet would be to just end the poor things life and start over. Try reading as much information as you can about growing cannabis before you try again. Cheers

I'll put a germinated seed in tomorrow morning can anyone recommend how many 23watt cfls I should put over the new seedling when it pops up and how close should the bulb be to the plant and I have no fan but it stays between 19 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius

I think your problem has been using extra nutes. There is absolutely no reason why you should be using nutes on a seedling in any potting soil period.

Also you should start in something much smaller like a small cup with holes poked in the bottom. Or just buy some seedling trays.

You really don't need much more than one CFL for a just popped seedling. As long as the temp at the plant level is reasonable it will be fine. What you do need is air circulation though. The moving air is good for the plant in many ways including helping to evaporate the medium you are using. Over saturation is the main cause of trouble for people just getting started in this business. You want to play with it and water it all the time. Just water when it's mostly dry and leave it alone otherwise. My 2 cents anyways. Cheers.

Thank you

Theres too much potassium in that seaweed fert. You shouldn't be using much ferts anyway at such an early stage, the soil has slow release nutes which should cover you for the first couple weeks. For now make sure you don't overwater and use less than the suggested amount of ferts. the fert company wants you to use more ferts so you have to buy more.
