rite then i know this sounds really simple but i just want to find out how the
waterfarm works and is it for me ?

1.is it easy to use?

2.is it the the simplest hydro set up to go with?

3.how do you refill the waterfarm?

thanks in advance for any advice :weed:

1. Yes. if you keep water temps down.

2. No. But it is simple. I like stinkbud as you don't need medium.

3. Never had one but it is a bucket so take top off and refill with nute solution.

I think if you want simple and easiest grow, soil is the way to go. Water is nice and good yields/time but many more things to consider ph, temp, ppm etc..

The waterfarm works like this, the air pump pushes water and air up a tube into your drip ring which spits the oxygenated water all over your hydroton. It is very easy to use and setup. I do not know about any other hydro set ups so I can't comment on them personally. You refill the system by simply pooring over the hydroton until you reach the white line on the blue drain tube. Draining is as simple as rotating the drain tube downward. There are some modifacations that are cheap and easy which will really help if you are interested.

Hey guys. I've never stopped trying to make my grow that little more convenient.

Can the drain pipe be modified so that you can drain to a bucket let's say a meter or so away? The 35L aqua pots look almost idea in terms of replacing my DWC tubs and potentially ever so slightly less work in that i'm not lugging 30L of water around the flat in plasatic totes that could break and flood the place :D

Pretty expensive for what they are especailly as i don't need pumps etc, but i think i might just move a couple of ounces and buy a pair.

How loud are the airpumps supplied?

Not to worry, youtube shows me it's perfectly possible to extend the drainage. #

YOU BASTARDS! i'm too poor for this kond of excitement :D

I hold you directly responsible! I'm gonna be £120 odd out of pocket all because of you! They do indeed look damned fucking convenient :)

Don't buy a waterfarm just buy a rubbermaid tote and a hot knife. Cut 6 holes into the lid and add a fishtank air pump and you're good to go for 6 plants.

I already run DWC buckets. They are not convenient as i would like them. If their is an easy and cheap way of making waterfarms, then cool, but if not i'll happily spend the money. Lugging 30L buckets of water to and fro from the bathroom is neihter stealthy nor good for my back. For my grow, these are near perfect. If i had the time and could be bothered, i'd try making them, but hell, i can sell 2 ounces and they're paid for. They're essentially free. It's either that or i just smoke more than i actually need to and don't sell the 2 ounces :D

Just dril a bunch more 1/4 inch holes in the top bucket and get yourself a bigger air pump, a 50 gall fish tank air pump. Good to go.

You can either drain a little bit out of the drain tube to test or catch some out of the drip ring. I drain and refill my waterfarm once a week, the ph stays well within the acceptable range, just make sure when you are topping up the level to use ph'd water.

I check my ph and ppm every couple days to make sure they are where I want them. The ppm is different for each stage of growth you are in, earlyy veg, full veg, flowering etc. One thing to know about ppm is that there are different scales to read it, hanna scale, truncheon scale. The only constant is EC. I bought a bluelab meter which has all three.
