Warlock, OG #18, and Sour Kush aka Headband Grow!

This is my first grow journal so have patience trying to figure the system out.

Srains: Magus Genetics Warlock, Reserva Privada OG #18 and Sour Kush

Lighting: Veg 400 watt Metal Halide, Bloom: 600 watt hortilux.

Medium: Botanicare loose coco coir with 40% perlite, a bag of Happy Frog Light Warrior, 1/2-3/4 bag of Perfect X-mix, and some Mychoryze mixed all together with a lil dolomite lime to level the Ph.

Clones taken from mother plants I have selectively picked from packs of seeds.

Nutes: I run the entire line of General Hydroponics 3 part with Atami Bloombastic at weeks 3-5/6 and House and Garden Shooting Powder weeks 6-7/8 and flush for weeks 8/9. I also throw in some magical and Botanicare Silica Blast.

I run 16 plants SOG under a 600 watt for bloom, I veg for only about 2 weeks then lollipop them and throw them into flower. Any questions just ask, other than that here we go, im in day 4 of veg right now! I have some cheese, warlock, and a super crystaly Mazar finishing.

I have around 1 1/2 weeks left until I pull and move in my clones! I will keep pics posted and everything up to date. Let me know what you think about the ones i'm about to pull.

hey i like the setup. they are looking huge. way bigger than mine. what are you growing in? like whats your setup? room or grow tent?

I grow in coco, and I hand water at most around every 4th day, I treat it like soil basically. I use General hydroponics 3 part system with every additive GH makes- Diamond nectar, Floralicious grow and bloom, Floralicious plus, Cal mag+, Floral nectar, Florablend, Silica blast-botanicare, Liquid Koolbloom, and Great White Mychoryze.....At week 3 in flower I start to add Atami Bloombastic, I run it wks3-5 and this stuff is god sent. I really believe in the Bloombastic! Then at the beginning of week 6 I throw in House and Garden Shooting powder, If I am running a 9-10 week strain I run it wks 6-8 then flush wks 9 and beginning of 10 if needed. If its an 8 week strain I will knock some time off of the Shooting powder use, instead of 3 weeks i will run it 2 and flush 1 1/2. The coco i used for this was General Hydro compressed brick with 30-40% perlite added in and some Mychoryze. The are grown in 2 gal square white pots, my room is built i cool it with a window a/c and i also use the hell out of a dehumidifier. The harder I run the dehumidifier the more trich'd out my nugs become. I make my own Co2 with the fermentation process- 1 cup sugar/1 packet highly active yeast. As I said above its a 600 watt hortilux in a yield master II supreme hood. On each side of the 600 i run a 4 foot 2 bulb T8 flouro's with 6500k blue bulbs in for added spectrum, I feel like this makes a difference to the plants, it may not be much light but its about the added spectrum. I pH everything with a Hannah pH meter and I like it 6.0-6.2 in coco. I use a blue lab truncheon nutrient meter and at aggressive bloom I run 2.1 ec. I feed with every watering but I allow a ton of runoff as to clean the media of salts each watering. I hope I answered your questions, What strains are you growing? What nutes do you use? You really ought to try and give the Atami Bloombastic a try. Its expensive but worth every penny.

Veg. is coming along nicely will post more pics in a day or so, sorry if I started this thread a lil early probably should have waited till start of flower but I wanted to document the whole grow this time.

Here is an update on the young ones. These will be moved to 1/2 gal. containers in a day or so.

So does anyone else out here love warlock as much as I do? I got such a killer pheno, smells like sweet tarts/fresh fruit, tastes great kinda mentholy, and yields nice dense fat nugs that drip with resin. I also have a pheno of mazar and its the most trichomed out plant I have ever seen. When its cured and dried properly it is literally white! Simply amazing bud but I cant wait for this OG 18 and Sour Kush. I know it will be awesome. Let me know if you have tried warlock or any of the strains I have named and what you thought about it.

how long till you chop those babies down? another week. i wanna see the final dry weight of them girls.

yeah 1 week from today, I normally average 1 1/4 off each plant. Im hoping to beat that this time, last time I was in Pro-mix with some coco added so I think I can do better than that but for SOG I know 1 ounce per plant is not a bad average. This time they are looking extra dense!

On my final flush on the others! They look and smell absolutely amazing, I can't wait. The veg room is doing awesome too, Gave them a good watering 6.0 Ph and .8 EC. They should be ready to go the second the others are pulled.

They are coming along nicely, for some reason warlock does this weird leaf spotting early on in veg. but generally out grows it before flower begins. I think it is possible that it does not like strong nutes in veg. However I have other Pheno's of Warlock that have never done this and no other strain I have ever run has done this!? So I don't know maybe its just a freak, it is my favorite plant up to this point so I deal with it. If anyone knows I will Post some pics of it here in a minute. Here is the room as a whole after transplant to 1/2 gal.

Subbed. Looks great so far. Interesting in doin my next grow pretty similar to this. So you only veg for two weeks? What size are they usually when u switch to flowering? Two week for clones right?

sour kush aka headband??????????????? I didn't know that but heres mine the one in the front left most vigorous of the 3.goin 12/12 in about a week these have all been grownin bout 2 months had problems and took 3 transplants before they started growing correctly. Goodluck

That sucks my Sour Kush and OG 18 are super vigorous. I have had no problems from them at all, not with the moms or clones, clones root fast and really strong. Mine will be great baring any possible hermies, with fem seeds there is always a chance in the genes although my room is super legit and has not had one plant pop nanners out of lots of strains.

That sucks my Sour Kush and OG 18 are super vigorous. I have had no problems from them at all, not with the moms or clones, clones root fast and really strong. Mine will be great baring any possible hermies, with fem seeds there is always a chance in the genes although my room is super legit and has not had one plant pop nanners out of lots of strains.

I say 2 weeks could be more and has been less, I think of veg as all about the roots and preparing the plant to get pushed, with that said I veg until around 10 inches. Most people in SOG prune everything leaving only one cola, I like to leave a couple of top branches just to fill out the canopy and I feel it adds a little to yield. Yes they are clones, I veg under a 400 watt MH then 600 watt for bloom. I run 16 in a 4X4 with 4foot 2 bulb T8's on each side of the 600 watt hood throwing 6500k blue spectrum into the mix, the plants seem to really like it. Any other questions feel free to ask. I never have deficiency problems except early in veg with the one pheno of warlock, but never effects the outcome which is incredible or I wouldn't deal with it. I have given away multiple clones and it happened in every grow with it I have seen. In fact mine seem to get over it quicker than other friends with the same plant, but I spend tons of time with my plants and nutes.

What pheno's did you get? Out of my 2 that sprouted I got one that looks exactly like my OG kush and the other is lankier with a little more stretch, which I can only assume comes from the sour diesel. I guess I will see hopefully I got the best of both worlds.

Does anyone know what those rusty looking spots on my leafs? Its not from the light, I have been able to defeat it in previous grows but would love to know how to avoid it. As I said its the only strain that has ever done it, and the only pheno of that strain thats does it.....Its just my favorite plants right now, I have some OG18 going in if its as good as its suppose to be it will replace the warlock. They are looking absolutely amazing and are taking off.

Well its official, this will be my last run with the warlock, I love the strain, super great smell, love the smoke but...........They are literally being overgrown by the OG and Sour Kush. Not even close enough to talk about, makes me want to scrap the whole thing take all new cuttings and do the damn thing for real b/c between the slow growth and horrid reaction to any veg nutes this strain is driving me crazy!!:!"!!:' It doesn't even look like its grown since the transplant and the OG is fucking stomping its brains out and asking for more. All I can hope is the stretch in flower will help my little warlocks to catch up but this is fucking pathetic, oh and noone on this site has offered any insight into what the leaf spotting can be.
