Thanks a lot @salmonetin!
Do you think 14 would fit on it (434 on 430 should be ok...it is less than 1% more)
And I should have a good efficiency...
Have a great day ★

I don't see that being a huge issue worse case scenario the current will derate to match the voltage. But I have never tested this theory so take this answer with a grain of salt. maybe someone with more experience with this can chime in and confirm or deny this.

...Abi... ...just for my curiosity & fun...
...whats your Expected Case Temp (Tc)?...
...and what is your Expected Ambient Temp (Ta)?...

..ok...vero 10 ...5000º K ...under 140 Lm / W or more...
...250 mA (42,98%)(143,73 Lm / W)... Vf = 25,57 V... 918,80 Lm @ 50º C...
...150 mA (45,79%)(153,11 Lm / W)... Vf = 24,84 V... 570,50 Lm @ 50º C...
...115 mA (47,59%)(159,15 Lm / W)... Vf = 24,50 V... 448,41 Lm @ 50º C...

...just for "play" with some numbers with supra spreadsheets... and other possibles drivers.. heatsinks.. maybe heatsink fan...

...LJ... ...over voltage in 350 mA version...475-495... ...on her datasheet... on real world...maybe small changes on numbers... the experienced led diyer normally check the volts and amps on driver output... and maybe adjust the CC values or CV values on one HLG driver too... ...i dont know LM reports for HLG driver... ...about high loads on long runs... ...i prefer not to go on maximum load for long runs...but is just my pov...

Ok I get your pov...
You believe that if I run only 12 it will be better to keep my driver longer?
It s going to be on for 18h...in that case is it better to underdrive it (put less cobs...even 10!??)
Have a great day ★
Merci Salmo encore une bonne réflexion. ..

....my offtopic post... ...curious test...;).. i like...

...diy pvc way ehhh...not my prefered way...i hear bad comments with some gass emitions under HPS and they using more pvc than you and you are using leds without uv or infrared... and for my pov we move a lot of air with intraction and extractions... and maybe its a fake or similar bs... anyway ...its other economic diy way... ;)...

Funny you should mention this article....I read them all! The ethanol spraying method is unusual but the testing is undeniable.....would you believe I just made some recently as well? :)

Yes the PVC is not realistic in really any kind of build...BuT........as I pointed out in the 1st post...I had everything in one go around and built this from strictly leftovers....Just wanted to show off the tech more than anything, but note taken on the pvc, it shouldn't really be emulated :joint:

Shall we play with numbers ;)

My expected Tc......hmmm well let's see

diode
Vero 10 5000k 70CRI = 1.44-1.49 C/W [280mA and 350ma range] [An30 Bridgelux Notes]

heatsink
well, as luck would have it, one of my heatsinks is from LEDSupply....
61x58x24mm 10 C/W

paste
Prolimatech 1 was used
0.017 ℃-in²/W

to be continued....

If I put a cob under a solar pannel is it going to produce electricity?
I was thinking of reflective solar pannels instead of mylar on the box wall!!! No losses...Maybe in 2030!?!?
Maybe just enough to run the fans...lights on/fans on and vice versa!
I smoke too much...I know
Have a great day ★

Too long, didn't watch
What is it about?

Shit..now you called me on it and it has been a week since I read....but.....the most THC came from buds/material sprayed down with Ethanol and then de-carbed in the oven and then buttered....Kinda cool. Maybe something else came out on top though...They sure wrote enough damn articles ;)

Ah. So what was the pvc comment about?

Too much work for me. Making butter was more than I cared to do. Was like 5-7 grams in butter for couple hours. Brownies totally blew me away with just a tiny bit. Granted I'm a total lightweight

pvc off gasses under some real extremes, especially UV-B and heat....neither of which is occurring in this tiny cabinet.
How big have you vegged under this light?
Well, not big at all, less than 2' feet tall because of flowering requirements......I basically set this lamp up with extra crap laying around intending to replace 3 led bulbs and 1 cfl bulb.....I never intended to actually run this long term, but it worked and works well. But draws 16watts on the LED side, so these will never veg monsters....SupraSpl uses similar intensity but over 60 days in veg and he is yielding over 1.35 grams/watt in flower....

How big Could it veg?......
I would say that vegging a single 2-3' tall plant is possible under this same light, given a different space....might take 60 days. :peace:

What material would you use instead for the scrog?

I had began making a chameleon enclosure last year for a girlfriend but she took off. Was going to wrap it up and throw my 8 x vero 10 300mA light in there for seed starting and vegging if it wasn't going to stretch them too much

A little under 2'x4' and under 2' tall when on the side. I want to grow, clone and then flower small plants so two separate cabs. I plan to let a batch go to seed to keep the genetics as my seeds are getting old. And then small clones for pheno hunting to narrow down my keepers

Woke up to 65 degree temp inside. Would love to use my dimmable 400w hid setup for light and heat but afraid I'd burn the trailer down.

I think even the halfxhalf wood stickers would be better than the Pvc...maybe not as durable in the long run, which some small aluminum cabling would be.
Just wipe the wood stickers down with some lavendar oil or neem oil and they won't rot or attract bugs.

I keep forgetting that so many use PVC for the scrogging at least the outside frame. Imho, I wouldn't, unless shit hit the fan or Im broke. But in an ideal situation, I pass.

I have another V10 fixture with all 3.5K, my oldest "grow" fixture. I have it in a minifridge actually, and now is a cloner prototype and 3.5k works good for cloning too imho sidebar :) but the overall height is about 2 feet inside and I have used that fixture in the past to flower from 2" to 18" from the plants in flower and it still did pretty good, just under 450 ppfd in that example....

If its only 2 feet high, I bet you tear it up with Vero 10's....I love mine, they are damn amazing :peace:

I haven't used any scrog, just tired down lst style. I was looking at diy tents and at least some people talk about pvc frame. Never figured out how they attach panda film making it light proof.

I had stapled panda film to wood 1x2 but it didn't work too well. Staples pulled through in spots and as it wasn't pulled tight has light leaks.

Trying to figure out how to do this one better with light proofing.
