Upside-down tomatoe planters, work w/ mj?

i'd like to see a grow journal on this. All speculation untill its tried

I've wondered this too.
My big concern would be runoff
I've not looked at them close to see where the runoff water would go.
I sure wouldn't want it draining onto
my buds, that wouldn't be too cool.

The plant will do what tomatoes do when they are like that, they will tend to hook upward, away from gravity and towards the light source.

When you LST your plants, do they continue to grow sideways or do they grow upward, away from gravity and towards the light source.

well since Topsy turveys tend to make plants with seriously thick stalks why not run a bank of 6 or 8 CFL tubes directly under it to make it go for the light and then you could literally hang the under lighting right off the damn plant like Xmas lights
i mean wtf if its gonna go for the light anyways just reverse where the lighting is...then just raise and lower the plant for height adjustment...

I grew 3 tomatoes in topsy turvys last summer, they sucked, small fruit, and very little of it. I wouldn't wast my time growing herb in one.
